World peace was the last thing I watched on Adult Swim. I really enjoyed the show after a long hiatus from cable TV. It was a great show that was doing something fresh. Haven't really watched cable since. "Making fresh tap" is lit fam fr fr st8 bussin.

I think Sam's stuff is hilarious but to say Tim was the only reason World Peace got cancelled is kind of crazy. There were a lot of unironically alt-right and racist MDE fans that generated a a lot of negative publicity and i'm pretty sure that was definitely a major factor in getting the show pulled.
That's reasonable. After all a handful of people DID make some pretty nasty comments on that dastardly mde subreddit; they might have even hurt peoples feelings at some point, which is incredibly problematic.

Tim and Eric was an awesome show and they did a great job but there was never any point to it. Just goofy bullshit. World Peace was really out there doing literal social commentary. It was 1000% because of Tim’s own insecurities.

The timing for World Peace was terrible. It got cancelled when everyone was freaking out over Trump. If the show was released today it would have survived as some comedians like Dave Chappelle and Ricky Gervais

Sam’s got a point though censorship/blacklisting doesn’t serve the interests of even the comedians trying to get the blacklisting done. Sam Hyde can never be in the mainstream because 1. A good chunk of the audience he cultivates no corporation wants to be in the same stratosphere as 2. He’s an alt-right style troll where it is legitimately hard to tell if he’s actually a Nazi or not lol. 3. Realistically I’m shocked the show got greenlit in the first place lol. It’s like when Barstool got a ESPN show and it was canned after one episode…it’s just not compatible with a big tent entertainment entity.
