Came back to Jin after dabbling in a few other characters and stumbled onto this vid.
Really cool to see the Raef is Shotokan. I'm Shotokanka also. I love Lidia but Jin's kit feels solid and fun at the same time.
Great to see better representation of actual Karate.
Auto-frames for the parry in Heat would be a good buff to his Heat.
One thing I have notice, Is that if you don’t input anything when heat engage you run closer

Why would PC vs PS5 affect Jins tier?
Because if you play on pc for example on an 120hz monitor, its alot easier to react to certain moves like d2 or ff3
I can’t understand anyone who has fun playing jin in this game. He’s never been THIS crazy easy before. I prefer to have to put in SOME effort for my wins. Jin is actually ridiculously boring. How can anyone have fun maining him? 🤦♂️
Cause he still has all his fun tools and more. Sure he's easier, but he's not brain dead. He's fairly honest, still requires skill against top tiers and isn't insanely flow charty like others.
The main complaints are d2 CH launch (its very reactable, launch punishable in certain matchups, and after his hellsweep nerf he needed something) and df2 into zen has almost all options beat by dickjab. And let's not forget ff2, which all Mishimas have and they're all good so that's not limited to Jin.
Other than that, his combos aren't insanely high execution like before, but he has combos that are still difficult to pull off. And zen cancels actually take more skill now than before to keep things like f4 safe.
With all this in mind, he is still very fun with his new moves, has great looking combos, and is overall really rewarding. He's not cheesy like Feng, ez plus on block like Drag, WR spammer like Azu, or stupid flowcharts like Jun.
He's a fair character who even needs a few changes to heat/buff to things like Omen. And I will forever main Jin.
Kaz mains absolutely malding… jokes aside, this is my first tekken, and i identified with the beaten down antihero gaining redemption (that he didn’t think he deserved) aspect from the story mode. I stuck with him and have come a long way in terms of learning the game. He’s honest compared to most of the other characters, everyone knows his strings, everyone knows that d2 is coming. It forces you to learn to be flexible and adapt, to not mindlessly flowchart. He doesn’t have crazy built in evasion like most of the roster, and his plus frames are either behind execution or stances. Most importantly, he’s cool.

@@karimsharaf795 jin is a lot more Brain Dead right now than Alisa and Eddy, I’d say. I play at a pretty high level, and Ive labbed every matchup to death. Jin is literally a Mishima type character made for babies. He does everything all the mishimas do, but to much more effective results. Better range, better tracking, better heat smash, better frames overall, far better natural evasion in his move list, etc. He just does everything for you. If you have fun playing easy mode Mishima, cool. I certainly don’t.

Thats a violation right there that should be sentenced to prison xd
