Rhaenys Targaryen (married to the powerful and wealthy Lord Corlys Velaryon) was the daughter of King Jaehaerys' predeceased oldest son Prince Aemon, thus the oldest grandchild of the king. Viserys was the son of Prince Baelon, Jaehaerys' predeceased second son. If Rhaenys had been a son, the succession would have been clear; but she was not. The knight who asked for Rhaenys' favor was her cousin, Lord Boremund Baratheon (Rhaenys' mother was a Baratheon).
Viserys did not murder his wife. The maester clearly said she was going to die anyway. The choice Viserys faced was in giving her a peaceful death by more opium (which would kill the child as well) or to have her die in great pain to give the child a chance to live. Viserys did not let Aemma choose; he made the choice for her, to try to save the child he believed was a son; and it cost him both their lives and terrible guilt.
It's abrutal scene to watch. showing the parallel from rheanerya and her mother convo that said childbirth is the woman's battle in this world. And to cut back and forth between men battles and woman's battles in those times. Also, did you notice the shape of the joust arena? what does it look like they are having a joust battle in? It all ties in with the scene
I agree that Rhaenyra's dracarys was better than Daenerys'. I think it just sounded more authentic; which wasn't surprising after seeing her throne room scene with Daemon, when they were speaking high valyrian so smoothly.
Viserys is not into confrontation unless he is very angry. He loved Aemma and I think he could not bear to tell her that she was going to die horribly. I don't know if it occurred to him to give her the choice of having the baby die so she could have a peaceful death or for her to die painfully to give the baby a chance to live; not when the baby, which Viserys believed was a son, stood between the realm and Prince Daemon in terms of the succession...
Daemon never said those words "heir for a day" .. that came from Otto Hightower. Daemon also didn't deny or admit it.

Daemon is clearly the only one protecting Visery actually. Hes mad yes but no he would never harm his family. Otto is the snake in the grass.

Was soo smooth! Loving the accents =D they did a great job.
Mother and child were both going to due cuz the baby wouldn't come out. The bavy is the only 1 they could save.
He should have told her tho..
