Cool reaction....also dragons with 2 wings and 2 legs are called Wyvern and they have been a thing since FOREVER...George didn't make them he just agreed with the design
"he's playing the game bro" "lost all respect" - arranged marriages were the norm for all noble women at the time. It's not like she would've had any other choice. As a father in this world it would be your duty to find the best prospect for your daughter. Thats exactly what Otto did. Don't transplant modern moralities on medieval people challenge.
Two things: there’s a difference between Fiction and Non-fiction - second it’s hard to fit into a square into a round peg (our views on morality and their circumstances) …on that we definitely agree. What an easier time we’d have if younger generation relied on the accumulated wisdom of their elders.
@@thelateshift558 Yes agreed about square peg and round hole. Not sure what you imply by 'diff. b/w fiction and non-fiction' tho. Cause otto and alicent's actions in this ep would be a very accurate representation of nobles in a medieval european monarchy. If anything, expecting the Hand to not try to further his position and expecting the daughter to be more self-assertive would be ahistorical.
Lovely reaction guys! In regards to the inbreeding. That didn't really affect the Targaryens' fertility. Only 1 King struggled to concieve a child. The reason Aemma and Viserys struggle is because Aemma was 13 when she married Viserys who was 16. Very young to have children. Her body just wasn't ready for it. Aemma's mother, Princess Daela, also died giving birth to her so Aemma dying from the same cause is quite sad. Also, I had your reaction to Viserys' casting but then I realised it made sense as Viserys wasn't a strong ruler like Aegon the Conqueror or other Targaryen kings and Paddy Constantine portrays the weakness of Viserys well. Rhaenys' mother was Lady Jocelyn Baratheon, the sister of Boremund Baratheon. The way you speak to your wife (I believe?) is very calming and sweet. In defence of the actor who plays Corlys, he's done really well so far and he's a big fan of the show which is always nice to see from actors. Loser fans have sent racist messages to him on social media. My mind is boggled with those people because GRRM, who created this world, these characters and is involved in the production of this show, doesn't care so why do they? Your wife is right. There's no way they could save the Queen. She's going to die regardless because the baby is breeches. They can't turn the baby and she can't push it out so this was the only option left otherwise both would die. Obviously both died anyway but it was a risk worth taking. My only issue is the King should have told his wife what was going to happen instead of leaving her terrified.
I agree Viserys character grows on you and Corlys is a great addition to the world. After all GOT and HoD take place on vast continents with differing races and cultures…in the context of the books and world, inclusion makes sense. LOTR seems a bit forced. But that is for another discussion :) You are too kind. Arooj is Hamzah’s sister-in law and close friend!
You two have excellent feedback! Thanks for your reactions!
The Tzar Nicolas II in WWI, was also a cousin too.
they were all grandsons of queen Victoria.
