Ive never thought about getting anything done but whilst watching this i was considering what i should get. But thankfully i snapped out of it quickly. I just hope this video doesn’t make others feel like they need to get stuff done. Embrace your natural beauty ladies. Don’t let social media make u feel like your not good enough!
Such an important comment! I appreciate Sam's honesty about this subject, but I do think it's pretty dangerous for 'influencers' (I hate that word) to talk about these things without seriously discussing things like body image and mental health. Sponsored video or not, intentional or not, influencers sell things.
Sam cannot make people want surgery or feel self conscious unless they already felt it already. She should not shoulder any 'blame' for this. She's being honest and transparent.
The thing is: this isn’t about “let women do whatever they want to their bodies”, this is about a huge social problem that is making women believe there is a certain way to look. Is Sam allowed to do whatever the hell she wants with herself? Obviously. Has Sam got caught in a narrative that tells us we can’t age, have to have our cheeks sunken in, nose thin, no wrinkles, no bags under eyes, etc etc etc? Yes. I appreciate Sam being brave and putting this video out there, but i do NOT appreciate how it will make tons of women feel. The idea of looking at my face and seeing issues to solve is horrific to me. If anyone ever feels like they need a procedure after a procedure, especially at such a young age - they need help looking at themselves from the inside and realizing who the hell told them that shit. If you think you’ve got a few things to fix at 20 - you’ll keep getting more and more of them as time goes on.
Love hearing about your experiences with getting work done! It scares me a bit when influencers don't disclose if they've had something done - not that they have to, but as it's our job to be "aspirational" I prefer it when people disclose any cosmetic procedures. I think you've approached this in such a great way, really factual and honest with good reviews of the process involved. I hope your viewers can understand that whilst they might have personal opinions about people getting surgery, you have approached the topic really well and with transparency and knowledge xxx
As a subscriber for 6 years, I admire your honestly and the ease you are able to talk about this with. I’m glad that you’re going you and you’re happy with how you look! But I’ve gotta say (and please don’t take this the wrong way, because this isn’t coming from a place of hate at all) this is so worrying sammi! It’s not the norm to talk about cosmetic procedures like a shopping list, and the fact you forgot you under eye filler is even more cause for concern. You’ve had so much done you can’t remember off the top of your head and it makes me feel sad. It’s clear there’s a much deeper issue, and that you’re using your good income to get procedures with ease (which can become a real issue when money issues pose no incentive to stop what could easily become an addiction). Just please take care sammi, there will always been another thing you don’t like about yourself that you can pay to get fixed, but you can’t buy a good mindset and self love ♥️
Taryn Robinson I think it’s totally normal and very common for anyone in the public eye (men and women). Being open about it and being transparent makes it normal but also people will have a realistic view of these public figures. They look perfect because they’ve had work done.
SO many negative comments. This woman is being vulnerable and honest with yall and yall are usually so quick to clock someone who was hiding the fact that they had surgery. Let people live. Youre beautiful Sam!
I’m nowhere near perfect but I can’t imagine ever being so fixated on my face. I guess once you get started you become more aware of small ‘imperfections’ such as smile lines etc. It just sounds so incredibly time consuming - not only getting the procedures done but also the constant worrying about unimportant things, such as how your smile lines makes you look older. At the same time I guess I can understand the pressure especially when working in social media. But still fuck fillers, botox and the rest. It’s ok to have smile lines, wonky boobs and dark underarms. I don’t care what anyone says, these videos where youtubers feel the need to overexplain why they needed to get these procedures done, does nothing but trigger many to scrutinise themselves and think critically about their own bodies
I think one of the main reasons for this is that you have to stare at yourself so much when you're filming and editing videos, and cameras pick up imperfections that you'd never notice otherwise because of how HD they are now. There's also so many mean people who leave horrible comments judging peoples appearances which must get to you eventually.
Kelly VonKrypt I'm not saying there's anything wrong with imperfections, I think imperfections make us all individual and interesting personally. I was just saying why I think this is so common in the RUclips community.
As a 41 year lady who likes you. I'm 41 year old mother of 5 and people always tell me how amazing young I look. I can't bring myself to ever touch my face. Please, this is coming from someone who likes you. I'm not a troll. You're a beautiful girl. I've seen your very old videos. You've always been a beautiful girl even your personality appears beautiful too. Please.Please.please be careful with what you do to your looks... ( your face in particular) Some of these things comes back to hunt people later in life. I could list many celebrities who the things they did to their faces make them look unnatural as they got older. You're a grown woman and can do whatever you want. I'm just advising you to please be careful. ❤️Summer Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪
Thanks for the video Sam. I'm 26 and theres a few of these things that I'm considering (though it'll take me a while to save up) would be nice to have an update video in the future talking about new things and more thoughts on the past ones XX
People who leave comments like this always claim to be well meaning but I feel like you know it’s none of you’re business to say. She doesn’t need you to tell her to be careful, and you don’t actually care, you just want to say your piece about what other people should do with their bodies while trying to seem ‘genuine’ 🙄🙄 not fooling anyone
I kind of find this sad a little bit. Don’t get me wrong Sammy I love you and you do you girl but I guess I just think it’d becoming harder for people to love the skin their born in and what’s that saying for the people who can’t afford all these surgeries. I’m not trying to hate honestly it’s just a thought I’ve been having recently.
holly G she clarified all of these things in the beginning yet everyone STILL is upset about it . She literally said she was not promoting it. And for the people that get upset because they can’t afford something OH WELL that’s life . I’m sure people look to you the same way because you have internet access or a phone
@mSWEETYw of course she is, but her stans repeat what she says in her vids and take it as face value( lol). I personally think her even making this video is pretty harmful
I have to keep telling young girls with social media that a lot of these women they look up to have had sooo many things done to look the way they do. With photoshop, face tune, angles and plastic surgery of course anyone would look great but it's so sad that out of the 8 people I've been watching on youtube since HS, all BUT 1 has gotten a boob job.
I don’t mind this video or some procedures but I get what you’re saying. I was talking with someone recently if had a ton of money when I was younger where would I be today. I had so many insecurities and if I could have changed them i probably would have BUT would I have learned to accept myself and all that other stuff that comes with age.
holly I agree it’s getting too much with all these youtubers talking about it. I feel sorry for the the younger girls. Who is teaching them to just love themselves the way they are??
Grown adults should be able to whatever they want with their bodies without people complaining. What I think is the most important, especially for “influencers”, is honesty. Major props to Sammi for not hiding or lying about it!
I don't see why. To me the transparency and honesty around the topic is positive rather than negative. It's far better than people lying about their appearance and claiming that it is their natural appearance because that leaves people wondering why they can't achieve that look. When people are honest about filler, surgery etc it helps people to realise that this isn't natural and I think it does make people feel more positive. There is nothing wrong with having any sort of procedure like this and people shouldn't be shamed for it.
I totally agree with you. Research proves that young people (girls) are affected a lot by these influences that do so much stuff to there face. The fact that Samantha is talking about this as if it is the most normal thing in the world only makes it worse. It is not normal it is hideous.
Tuyn Is it not worse to pretend that she looked like this naturally? That would leave some young women wondering about why they can’t achieve that look when, in reality, it was never a natural look anyway.
These videos are the norm because as viewers, WE created this market. Videos like these would not be created if there weren’t an interest in them. If you’re going to piss and moan about it change your viewing patterns, change the market. In the meantime, sit down and let Sammi do what she wants.
Whats wrong with micoblading and hair/mole removal? Women paint/fill in their eyebrows, shave their legs, cover moles, and put on mascara. Whats wrong with any of that? Unless you're specifically talking about the fillers and the boob job.
I hope the comments aren’t making you regret posting this video. Thank you for sharing even though you didn’t have to. At the end of the day, it’s your body and your money. We ALL have things we dont like about ourselves (no matter how many compliments we get). Some of us change those things with makeup, or hair dye or skincare etc... There is NOTHING wrong with getting work done or not getting work done. It’s about what makes you happy at the end of the day. Please take the “disappointed” comments with a grain of salt. Keep up the great content, Ive been a fan for years but this is my first comment, It’s been great seeing your journey and growth. All the best to you and thank you for all that you do.
Roxyroo she gets paid a lot of money as an "influencer" and has these procedures to maintain an image that is profitable. She has to compete with all of these other RUclipsrs and instagram models who look a certain way and I assume it's a lot of pressure. I hope she is happy though because I've watched her since she first started and have always supported her.
If your profile pic is really you, then you have been blessed with conventional beauty and honestly have no business telling people to accept themselves. It might not be as easy for them as it is for somebody who looks like you. Not everybody is as blessed as you.
The only plastic surgery she mentioned was the boob job, which she has already gone into extensively in the past so there was no need to again here. Procedures like dermal fillers are becoming so non invasive that they're becoming almost on par with make up, that's just the truth sis
I just find it interesting how all the beauty bloggers I follow that made self love and confidence videos in 2008-2012 have now all succumbed to the pressures of social media by having surgical procedures. It just comes across as phoney! Like those videos 10 years ago weren’t genuine - “love yourself until you’ve got enough money to change yourself.” Funnily enough, I have no issue with plastic surgery. I follow Trisha Paytas! Plastic surgery queen, difference is she hasn’t made videos about self confidence whilst getting work done (not that I know of anyway). Before anyone bites my head off, I’m entitled to voice my opinion on a public video - positive or negative 😀
I am here to respectfully disagree. What is wrong with spreading a positive message even if you don't necessarily feel that way yourself? I'm 18 and would genuinely love botox but I'm definitely not getting any! Mainly because I'm about to start university and that isn't really in the budget. I don't think that it's phoney at all. I think it's positive for influencers to be honest about surgical procedures or any botox etc. Spreading self love and having surgery etc are not mutually exclusive in my opinion.
PastelRose that’s cool and I understand your point of view. “Do as I say and not as I do.” Seems to be the sentiments of beauty gurus on RUclips. I’m definitely a “practice what you preach” kinda gal tbh
I'm sorry but I hate how 'LA faces' are becoming more normal. I used to think that older women spending their yacht money on botox was sad - but now 20 year olds finding themselves 'looking old' makes me want to live in a remote village in Peru. I like how men are allowed to wrinkle into cool wizards with massive bellies. There is a part of me that thinks 'yer! empowerment! put that filler in your face!', but mainly I think ARE THE MEN DOING THIS? No. they are not.
AMEN! And you have to ask yourself where that desire to do those things comes from.. yes it might be your choice, which I can only respect, but it's still a choice dictated by some white guy in an office who has decided what version of beauty is 'in' atm..
Exactly! And it’s not just about the wrinkles, men can also suffer from bad skin, have dark under eye circles, receeding hairline, whathever, but it’s only women that are expected to cover and fix their imperfections. All the same imperfections are perceived normal and natural on men and completely unnaceptable on women. And what is even worse, these expectations are placed on us not only by the media and beauty industry, but our workplaces as well.
Byyrd there is a difference between needing and wanting. Yes, nobody needs it but if you know something is going to make you more confident then why not???
You may not need it, but if anyone wants this then what is the issue? There's nothing wrong with wanting to alter your appearance slightly or even dramatically.
Jenna Maben I don't think you get the point of this comment. Botox/fillers are being so normalised these days, people don't want them, they think they need them because of the beauty standard. No one needs it.
Maris P Please tell me how you came to this conclusion and where you gathered your information. It sounds like you’re making assumptions but if you can back it up then, please, go ahead
Honestly, this video makes me really sad. I've been watching since 2010 and it just seems you've so deeply fallen victim to the world of social media and superficiality. I have no problem with cosmetic procedures at all, I think if they're done for the right reasons then I'm all for it, it's your life do what you wanna do. Whatever makes you happier. But when talking about your mole, you said if it's something you think about every single day just do it because it'll make you happier afterward. The problem is that the feeling of insecurity about something like a mole doesn't just come from the mole. And the 'happiness' you feel afterward isn't real, it's just relief from feeling like there's one less reason to feel un-pretty. It's so important to understand yourself and figure out why having that mole bothers you so much, why you fixate on something so irrelevant on a daily basis. Because yes you can easily remove the mole and stop having to think about it, but the source of that insecurity stays and moves on to another flaw you fixate on. Cosmetic surgery is like putting a band-aid on your insecurities, quieting them for a while until they find something else to make you worry about. Without ever resolving the insecurities causing you to want work done, you just keep finding other procedures and other things that 'need fixing,' - it becomes a never ending, fruitless attempt to feel worthy based simply off your outer appearance. I wish the best to you, Sam, but sadly this channel is now founded on values that don't align with me.
Thank you. You voiced it so eloquently and respectfully and I couldn't agree with you more. I believe she can do whatever she wants, but this channel just isn't for me anymore.
I recognize that completely and I don't have a problem with the cosmetic procedures themselves. I have a problem with her telling hundreds of thousands of impressionable viewers that if there's something on their face they don't like, they should just get it removed so they'll be happier. The way one chooses to live their life is completely up to their choosing. But what she's doing is projecting her decisions and her reasoning for cosmetic surgery onto the lives of subscribers, very few of whom make their living in a primarily appearance based industry. It's not about HER reason for getting the cosmetic procedure. It's about her lack of responsibility over the enormous degree of influence her words have on the people who watch this video and the emotional implications of what they might mean on an individualized basis.
So sad. There's far far more to life than looks. When you see a patient with permanent eye muscle paralysis who can never shut their eye again, you perhaps realise how dangerous these procedures are and how ridiculous they are. Not one person who has had unnecessary procedures done can honestly say it was worth it when they face unfortunate complications. This is coming from a GP. Please be very aware of complication. Dear vlogger- it's absolutely fine to share your experience but please be very wary that telling viewers to "Just go for it if you've been thinking about it for ages" - this is extremely reckless and should be always followed by informing re: risks.
Just to add that patient was unlucky enough to suffer a complication of botox. Please be careful. I also have seen a patient with a temporarily completely closed eyelid for 3 months due to botox complications, and had to wear a patch and take drops several times per day. It's not all glamour!!
Stuff like this isn't abnormal. loads of people get treatments done. Sammi is thoughtful enough to tell us her experiences with it. No need to judge. If it's not for you it's not for you
At the moment I'm not interested in having anything done, but I love it when people are honest and open about it. We should be able to talk about and I think it lessens the pressure to appear beautiful once you realise that the "Hollywwod Beauty" isn't the standard and is actually a product of alot of effort/time/money/procedures.
yeah but the majority of people still want to corespond to these beauty standards and i think that's problematic. How can the people that don't match these standards feel good about themselves when they don't have the money for these operations ? she makes it sound like it's competely normal to have these... it has a cost and an impact on other women.
@@tepni in the uk the most expensive style is Russian which is usually between £50 to £80 maximum and they're made with mink hair which is cruel and pointless
I wonder if it’s cause she waits a while and ends up getting a full set again? I know that the lady that does my lash lifts here in the Los Angeles area charges anywhere from 125-300 usd depending on the type you get.
It’s so disheartening to see so many negative comments on this video. SO many influencers do NOT share what they’ve had done. Sammi is kind enough to tell us what she’s had done, share the whole process, and be educational about it so that people who are thinking of getting something done will have the tools to make a safe and healthy decision for them. I think she looks beautiful, and I really appreciate her sharing this information. If you don’t want to have something done, then don’t. It’s that simple. But don’t shame her and ruin it for the rest of us who want to hear her experiences with these procedures.
Wow, the comments for this video are so incredibly toxic. I'm so sorry Sammy. I can't believe people think they can shame and judge you for your decisions on your body. Thank you for sharing your experience. This is so useful for anyone who has considered getting work done.
Honestly sounds like cosmetic procedures have become a temporary mental "pick me up" for her, not a long term solution to the actual issue of intense dysmorphia.
this post was not meant to pass judgement - the reasons she got them done is completely her business. You’re opinions on whether it was a pick me up or if it’s something to do with dysmorphia is irrelevant and not very empathetic. This comment was suppose to shed light on how views on beauty change and therefore our own perceptions of ourselves change along - we can all fall victims to this in different ways and just because sam decided to do something about it for herself (whether they are about insecurity or not) doesn’t mean she’s inferior or it was a ‘dumb’ decision. Keep your superiority complexes to yourself.
After retweeting that Jameela Jamil video on Twitter about the Kardashians, I really hope you find these procedures more serious and unnecessary rather than the nonchalant way you talk about them.
nordette Jameela talks about her past eating disorder, how beauty “standards” messed with her head, how much damage is being done to young girls who believe they’ve got to change themselves, etc etc etc.
Omg my thoughts exactly and I mean it with no disrespect - but all the videos from (although I hate that word) influencers on youtube are extremely similiar now and all of them are basically capitalisms wet dreams. Everything's about what I had done or what I bought. And of course I do sometimes like to watch these types of videos, I mean I do like hearing about some new beauty products, I like vlogs etc., but it's kind of scary to think that for some people these are the primary values now.
It's so sad and scary! I don't mind videos on clothes and make-up because at least these things can be a way to express yourself and be creative. Cosmetic surgeries (or whatever we choose to call it) never sat right with me. We're talking about changing facial features! I'm not saying that Sam (or anyone else) is addicted to these procedures, but I can't help but notice that whenever a tiny error gets 'fixed', she moves on to the next thing. Like she's going shopping.
Your literally one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen in my life. I've followed you for years and this is before you have done anything and now. I hope one day you realise how gorgeous you are and you are beautiful inside too.. hope you see this you are a huge inspiration to me ❤️❤️
the only sad thing about this video is the comments tbh. you’re providing transparency and clarity to procedures a lot of people wouldn’t know where to start with. i have to say, I’ve never come across a RUclipsr who seems so real, friendly and kind, who gets the amount of sh*t you do. y’all complain about this girl’s husband, her kid, her laugh, her mental health, her holidays, her work trip. seems like this girl can’t do anything right, i’m surprised she has carried on making videos to be quite honest. Samantha you have always been gorgeous and it’s lovely to see you grow and become such a confident woman. I’m glad you’ve been brave enough to be honest in such a judgemental world. people on here talking about centric beauty standards, someone’s own journey with their appearance is not someone else’s opportunity to politicise that. let people make their own choices and let people live their f*ckin lives. god ALMIGHTY! Big love to you sam, ray charles to the negativity ✨💖
So many comments with negative feelings about cosmetic procedures - look at Sam, I bet many of you didn't even know she had these procedures. Sam is a great role model for anyone who wants touch ups - she is realistic and said a number of times to do the research before getting anything done.
You can always tell.. We love her but we are not sheep. As a nurse it is dangerous to keep putting things in your face.. She can do whatever she want to her face.. As you can see now the right side of her face is off..
amen thank you! There’s upkeep and very simple, minimal injections every couple times a year. Sammy clearly isn’t going over board. Some people are very realistic with the procedures they do to themselves
As a human being, its people who say things like "the right side of her face is off" that builds insecurities in people that do not need to have them. I watch her videos for about 7 years and never noted anything that didn't seem normal. As a nurse, you can work with plastic surgeons who are doctors and that know what they are doing, or at least people believe and trust them. And again, Sam stresses about doing your research before and even talks about her experience about the boob job and how she should have ask and question more.
Everyone is sounding so judgmental. From my experience, a lot of people want to do the same but don't have the money or are afraid of being judged themselves. People have judged me then a few months later would say how they wanted to get something done. You look great Sammy! You do you, boo!
Exaccttllyyy! The people that condemn are always the first to get something done when they get a bit of money! Everyone wants to look a bit better than they already do even if they deny it!
I think it's so great of you to talk about what you've had done. I've had my nose done now but for so long I was a little judgemental of any other surgeries because I saw it as a life changing surgery for me but now I see that it's totally a personal choice. My nose is only slightly noticeable but I LOVE it. It has made such a different to my life and I am always happy to chat about it. It's so important that your talking about your procedures on your platform. So proud of you ❤️❤️❤️
Sigh. I cannot stomach it when women bash or berate other women for what they chose to do their body. Especially under the guise of “feminism”. There is nothing feminist about telling a woman what they can or cannot do their body and what reasons she can or cannot use to justify those procedures. You don’t have to get cosmetic procedures if you don’t want to; you can if you do. You may regret it, you may not. The point is that choice is awesome and shaming someone for exercising their right to choose is kinda a trash thing to do. One thing I would like to point out is that Sam appears to do things out her own volition and not to please anyone or anything other than herself. It doesn’t have to be your cup of tea. But damn, can the girl drink hers without y’all spitting in it? Edit: Please read carefully. If you have disagreements about body modifications, that’s your business and it’s fine. It’s sad, however, when women object to them under the basis of being a feminist or promoting feminism. That’s YOUR personal beef with cosmetic procedures based on YOUR own biases - and, again, that’s fine. Own it. Love it. Speak your truth to power around it. Just don’t parade it under womanism or feminism because that whole movement is about the ability to choose what happens to your body - or what doesn’t happen to it, if that’s not your thing. And we are all entitled to our opinions and to be disappointed - but show some intellectual bravery and rigor if you have the balls to post it on the internet. Don’t hide it behind a movement that really doesn’t espouse what you’re promoting. Just say you ain’t with the cosmetic surgeries and that’s that and go in living your best life.
Samantha Ferrari That is not what I said at all. What you’re suggesting is utterly bizarre and, again, not at all what I wrote. I was responding to the criticism of her couched in feminism or feminist ideals. Which, incidentally, isn’t feminism at all. Thanks for playing though.
twicevelvet definitions change and evolve the more people learn - but the tenants of feminism has always involved freedom to choose what happens to your body.
A couple of things. I think you're quite brave to not only make this video, but also to leave the comment section open. To the people saying, "I thought you were a natural beauty," if it's all mostly gone now and you barely noticed that she'd done anything, then that means that she is a "natural beauty". I also think it's unrealistic to believe that someone whose image is their brand and business, wouldn't do some tweaks here and there. You view images on IG all day and every single one is edited. What you're seeing is not what you'll get in real life so I'm not understanding the backlash below. You clicked on the video to watch but knowing that you were against it and then still left a comment. I just don't get it. Then it seems like a lot of the commenters would get these things done, but don't because they can't afford it and so in the interim are commenting on how sad it is that she's "uncomfortable in her skin".
Wow Sami. Fair play for doing this video and no malice meant in this but you have had so much done! Not saying you are promoting unrealistic standards at all but it is no wonder we all have so many body confidence issues when people we see online every day have actually had all these procedures done!
It's all just a bit sad really. That someone so young and already society's definition of beautiful feels the need to mess around with her face so much. I wonder what you'll tell Indie and any future children about this. That it's ok for mummy to do it but you don't want her doing it. Or alternatively you'll let her do the same at a young age too. We're all getting way too obsessed with how we look. It feels good to look nice. But let's not make it the only thing that will plug that hole. Those Insta baddies are going to look ridiculous by the time they're 40.
MsMorepinkplease no shit. But again, when her daughter is her age... she’ll be old enough to make a decision on her own. To pretend otherwise is dangerously naive
I think it's really good that you've made this video and are being open and honest about the procedures you've had done, anybody that wishes they looked like you can now understand that aspects of your appearance aren't natural and are the result of corrective surgery and fillers, which I hope will make people understand that this level of beauty hasn't come without a cost! I personally think it's a lot better to find happiness in your natural state than it is to alter yourself, but I totally respect your choices - I wear hair extensions every day because I don't like having short, thin hair, and for me it helps my confidence a lot! I do however now struggle if I have to go out without them in, and I can see that you struggle with very small aspects of your appearance because your attention to detail has become a lot stronger. The fillers provide you with a quick fix too, and once you've had them in one place you're more open to trying them out in another. I just hope you're striving towards being the best version of you, and enjoy your life and know that although you may think you look better with the fillers, lots of people appreciate your natural beauty! Ultimately it's your choice, your money and your body! Do what makes you happy, and thank you for this honesty!
Gosh I am 23 and had nothing done of that! I guess that's the benefit of being brought up by a mum who never got tired of telling me and my sister that we are beautiful the way we are. Thanks Mama :-*
I have to say that this video normalises something which isn’t normal... where does the filler dissolve into? I feel that women and young girls especially think this is normal and it isn’t ... imperfection is beautiful ... striving for perfection is dangerous .... women like Judy Dench and Helen Mirren are stunning these are women I admire and follow as they embrace ageing beautifully and with grace .... what is a baby amount? You’re ok now but as you get older into your 40s and 50s is the time... this video is damaging I’m afraid. To put yourself under such a scrutinising microscope is very worrying because this isn’t happiness.
From someone who has had cosmetic procedures done also and has been watching you since the beginning! I salute you for putting yourself out there and being honest! and for all those people commenting “I like you but be careful....” I think she is very aware of what she’s doing and doesn’t need people trying to lecture her. Bore off! You do you hun!! Beautiful as always sister!💃🏻xx
I don't understand the people who are saying negative things about this video or plastic surgery. Women can do whatever they want with their bodies. Also for people fear mongering, fillers aren't dangerous, we do know what they're made of, it's hyalauronic acid which is naturally occurring in the body. You keep doing you Sam! Proud of you for being transparent and open! 💖
Catt Lewis Thank you! The ones leaving nasty comments are just insecure and wish they could get it fines anything is possible. Just need to work toward it. Lol
everyone is so negative if someone has the money and wants to get something done then good on them ! kylie jenner had pretty extreme lip filler in at age 16 who has millions of young girls that look up to her. You are stunning , i appreciate how honest and real you are xxxxxx
Oh my god... all these people saying it makes them sad make me annoyed!!!!!!!!!! So what if you think she’s too young? Or doesn’t need it? Who are you to say she has insecurities or must be really self aware or is conceited and self absorbed? Even if she is this is really none of your business and I don’t know WHAT happened to if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all... Sam, thank you for being so open about this! It should be spoken about like it’s normal because it is normal, and everyone gets it! Even all of these older women who so many of you are claiming to be ageing naturally. You do you girl!!!
Ive never cared what anyone does to themselves or even been anti surgery. I think it’s great if it makes you happy. But once I had my daughter, I see videos like this and I get kind of sad because I can’t imagine listening to her list a bunch of things she doesn’t love about herself when I love and adore every bit of her. It would break my heart, so I go above and beyond to tell her that she was created to be a wonderful, smart and powerful woman instead of harping on how beautiful her looks are.
Can’t believe the amount of negative comments on this video.. fair enough everyone has their opinions but at the end of the day it’s Sammi’s choice what she does to her own body, she’s not saying we all need to go out and do the same thing. Most of us feel unconfident in our own bodies so if we had the opportunity to change we would. Props to you for coming out, being honest about what you’ve had done.. cosmetic surgery doesn’t change the person Sammi is.. she can still be a role model, she is still a mother, she is still human.
What makes me really sad is that I used to love watching Samantha’s videos when I was younger and I always found everything so inspiring, but it’s really sad that I feel like the message that all her videos provide now is that you can have the perfect life and beauty with money.
As far as the Botox, it’s def the placement. Some people’s eye brows may droop or actually create a dramatic arch but a person who is really good can know where to place it to where the results look great without the eyebrows being affected
Hi Samantha, I have to say, that I agree with a lot of the comments on this video and it makes me so happy and relieved, that people are taking a critical stand on this topic. After I have discovered the body positivity community on Instagram, i have definitely become more critical on how I’ve been socialized to believe, that I have to look a certain way all my life and how I in many ways think that this is the foundation of the mental struggles I have had throughout my life. I think that it is really important to have this conversation about, for what reasons we are doing these things to ourselves and be more critical. Thinking that we do this for ourselves because we ‘’would like to try it’’, ‘’fix’’ insecurities or whatever, in my opinion is just naive, this will only maintain this culture, where we have to look in a certain way. There are ideals that we are trying to live up to, and the socialization is such a strong force. I just feel like the important discussion to have by now is, why do we buy into this? Why do we think that this will fix our insecurities? Why do so many young people struggle with eating disorders in so many forms? Why are we so focus on exercise, make-up, surgeries and constantly looking in a certain way? Do we actually believe that this begins and ends in ourselves, or is it something we are taught from a very young age? What is wrong with looking like our natural self, with body hair, sweat, saggy boobs, stretch marks, cellulite, fat, etc.? Why are we made to think, that these natural elements of our body are in fact unnatural and something that we need to get rid of and fix? More importantly I think we need to be aware of what we are reproducing every time we buy into this and how we are influencing a generation of young people to have the same insecurities and excessive focus on their looks, as we have grown up with. I think that we need to set ourselves free by criticising the culture we live in. With this said I would like to emphasise that my aim with this comment is not to make you feel bad about the decisions you have made, I do not believe that it is not your fault that you buy into this. You have grown up in this society and culture, and you have been exposed to and influenced by these ideals your whole life like the rest of us!!! AND on top of that, a great part of your job is within this culture, and there is a big focus on your looks from both your viewers and the partners you work with. This must be difficult in so many ways. I don't mean this as a patronizing comment, rather i just want to give you credit. I guess my point is that it is not our fault that we think that we have these needs, but I just believe that life will be better and easier if we try to set ourselves free from them and fight against them. I really hope that this topic is something that you will consider commenting on. Also please check out the body positivity community on instagram (especially bodyposipanda, antidietriotclub and theslumflower). There are so many amazing people fighting for all of us. Finding this corner of the internet has changed my life in so many ways. All the best, Julie
I’ve noticed after you posted your filler video I thought you looked radiant and refreshed. I turned 30 this year and also did Botox and lip filler and I felt amazing and could totally tell a difference. Do whatever you want it’s your body.
Back in the day like 7/8 years ago, I was such a fan of you, you were one of the first youtubers I followed and thought you were so unique and beautiful!! You’re beautiful now too though, don’t get me wrong. I just don’t feel like you needed anything done, but to each their own! ❤️😊✨
Don’t be put down by all the negative and patronising comments on here Sammi and focus on the people you have helped, I have never had anything done nor do I have any interest to, but I definitely found this interesting to learn about and I chose to watch this. It’s your life and your body so you choose exactly what you want to do with it, just like everyone else. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that’s absolutely fine, I just don’t know what people are looking to achieve or gain out of sharing a negative response to something you have chosen to do, when it doesn’t affect them directly. I would like to believe that people can respect your choices as much as they expect you to respect their opinion. I hope that those responses don’t make you feel like you can’t share your experiences as these are great for people who are interested x
The only sad thing about this video (stealing that line from another comment) is how absolutely DISGUSTING the comment section is!!!!! They’re talking about how SHES making young girls feel insecure in their bodies because they can’t get these procedures while they’re attacking her for decisions about her body?????? The truth is fillers are not permanent and you can love yourself and still get fillers and procedures done! You can still look like yourself and get procedures done. All of these comments are just enforcing stigmas and some are even saying “omg I always thought you were one of the youtubers who hardly got procedures done. I’m disgusted.” Like no!!! That should show you how you can get a procedure done and still be you.
I wonder if it depends on the city though‽ I live in the Los Angeles area and the price point seems similar! I think the lady that does my lash lifts charges between125-300 usd for eyelash extensions depending on the style you get of course!
I love this! I personally don’t have any work done (and I’m not planning on having anything done!) but you are so genuine on the subject that it’s so refreshing to hear! You look SO good! I’ve been watching you for YEARS and you’ve always been so pretty regardless of having any work done. Anyways, love this video!!
I almost never comment!!!!! HOWEVER, the comment section of this video has me seething. It's actually sad how many people feel the need to write about how confident they are in themselves to never go under the knife or how insecure they think Sammi is because of the decisions she's made. I'm not pulling this out of nowhere, I'm literally referencing actual comments that I'm reading as I write this :/ Sammi made a disclaimer at the beginning of this video. If you are morally against this topic, just drop your dislike and head on out. The thinly veiled snarky comments being costumed as concern make me sad, not only for Sam, but for anyone that wants to be transparent with their audience. Yes there are more and more videos of people detailing their procedures, BECAUSE they feel safe and regard their subscribers as their peers/friends in whom they can confide.I personally have no interest in cosmetic procedures for myself, but that doesn't make me abhor the thought of it for other individuals. People are having cosmetic procedures whether or not they're telling us. I just wanted to break the monotony of negative comments and tell Sam that she's beautiful!!! Thank you for having the strength to be informative whilst knowing what might go down in this comment section. 🌻🌻🌻
I just want to thank you for your honesty! It is not on us as your viewers to judge your desicions. We should be thankful for someone to even share something this personal.
I like that you're talking about the work you've had done. It's good to know if the people you're seeing have any surgical enhancements because it changed your perception of what is natrual
I love you so so so much but it breaks my heart that people feel the need to look at their faces sooooo closely that that want all this work done, looks amazing on you but I have watched since 2012 and u were stunning even then Sammi!!!!! I would love lip fillers and yet I know when I have children I wanna love my own skin, as That’s what I’m passing on not my unnatural facial features that have been altered :( love you and your fam so much Sammi! 💛💛💛have a great week everyone!!
I admire your honesty, not many women admit to having work done, they’d just prefer if everyone believed they’re completely natural. Good for you and you still look very natural.
I think you are amazing for making this video despite all the negative and shameful comments you have been getting. There needs to be more talk about cosmetic procedures, the good and the bad. There just isn't enough information out there and many people end up having a bad experience. By shedding some light on your experience, the people who watch you are becoming more educated and better able to make an informed decision. Please don't hesitate to keep sharing your experiences, you never know who you might help!
I wonder how you'll act when the day comes that little (or not so little) Indie comes and tells her mum she wants all these things done... I wonder if you'll let her or encourage her or just say no you're beautiful don't do it. You're gorgeous Sammi! I've been watching you for years and I've never once thought you needed anything done.
Well I imagine shed tell her she can do what she wants when shes the right age. I know Id teach my kids to love the skin they were born in and accept the flaws they dont. But if they ever do want something done, they must be the right age and they have to do thorough research, and remember that it can come out in ways unexpected or that it may make them feel better but its not everything.
love how honest you are about this considering people are so hateful! I've been really interested in fillers and botox and I love when people are more open about this so I can learn and know what to expect
Everyone's doing it. You've allowed the "beauty" industry to convince you, you're not good enough. Have to de-form, to conform, I suppose. Kind of sad, actually. What message does it send to the next generation of young women?
rather that if you're a woman you're gonna have to put all of your money and thoughts towards your appearance. If you're a man, you're fine, you can live with the body you were born in (wow, shocker) and devote your time to actual achievements.
But you she literally said she went of what she wanted her idea not social media or the beauty industry. Shes allowed to feel the best version of her and by her posting this its helping people like me get an idea of the experience. I'd rather know about it then do know research and risk going to a sketchy person.
As someone who works in the industry, it's honestly very sad how uneducated and unaware people are about these procedures. The amount of people that get cosmetic procedures is so large, and so many women do it, they just don't talk about it because everyone shames them, as these comments are shaming Sam. So many women do it and are hush hush about it. Not everyone that gets cosmetic procedures look like a troll. GOOD doctors enhance what you already look like, that's why its important to do your research. Sam actually has the balls to make a video like this for those who are too "afraid" or "ashamed" due to ignorant comments like these. Sam, you look amazing, and you define good cosmetic work because you look absolutely stunning, but most importantly you look like yourself. Props to you for being honest, versus the majority of the female population.
I always jump to see your videos, but could not bare to watch this until the end. You felt like you needed Botox in your 20s because of some lines?...it’s like I don’t know who this “new” Sam is anymore.
Ines Manique how does this make her any different? She isn’t demanding people get work done, she is informing people of what she HAS done and what her experience is. She has done what makes her comfortable, and she’s sharing what it has been like. That’s all there is to it. If you’re uncomfortable with this kind of thing, that’s okay!! You stopped watching the video and that’s what was best for you-whereas some people would love to hear about her process. There is no “new” Sam. There have been massive complaints about dishonesty in the RUclips community and she is being open, honest, and informative in this video. Is that not enough?
Oh, hush. I’m the same age as well. I’m getting Botox as well. We as women should be able to decide on what we want to look like. Anxiety causes lines. I’ve got lines from anxiety over the years. So it’s made me insecure. Be more open minded and look at yourself and support other women instead of putting them down on how they wish to look.
Milady Gothica I don’t support women in particular, I support people in general. And people who make up their own minds, not follow everyone elses. Like getting all these designer bags just because every other blogger is. Like getting all these aesthetic procedures done just because every other girl is. I refuse to accept that a 20 something really truly feels bad about some line on her forehead.
I rarely comment on videos but I think you look great Sam! Thank you for sharing this video because a lot of people really don't share (or don't want others to know) the work they've done. I've had fillers and botox done myself and you're really just enhancing your existing features - don't listen to the naysayers!
So many negative comments wow :( Fair enough having surgical/non-surgical procedures is not everyone's cup of tea but at the end of the day if it's something you want to do why not? It doesn't negatively effect anyone else. And the people saying 'be confident in yourself' its much easier said than done, if theres something you're physically insecure about I don't see any problem with changing it if it will make you happier. But yeah thats just my opinion - you look beautiful Sammi
I thought this video was very helpful. I had a bunch of freckle/moles removed with lasers and am way happier now. I’m also getting a boob job next. If something is bothering you or you just want to change it, and it’s done by a professional, then go for it. Nothing you have had done Sam is even that extreme. I appreciate your honesty. You’re beautiful.
I'm baffled by the amount of RUclipsrs I follow that actually had work done on their face. No wonder everybody on here looks flawless. It's just like with the girls in magazines. Their 'edited'. Kinda makes me feel crap that the people I look up to, have had work done to look perfect because I thought growing older I would come to accept certain flaws. This makes me think that to truly feel beautiful I need to 'tweak' myself. Seems like everybody else is. PS: This is not meant to be mean! I still love your videos and appreciate you being upfront and genuine. Just had a huge reality check. If I ever have a daughter of my own, will by then the people she'll see on the street all be tweaked? Like will it become the new thing to fit in? Crazy world we're living in.
Laurie M I think she also struggles with self love like most of us and probably doesn’t realize the pressure and how much influence others have on her. She is just falls into a chain reaction like most of us. I try so hard not to hate myself but I’m not gonna lie reality is I feel so down with how I look sometimes. Self love gets harder and harder.
I've honestly never considered getting anything drastic done. Particularly anything permeant because trends change so quickly. But I have always thought about laser hair removal. I don't wear short sleeve shirts and am very self conscience about even lifting my arms up. It would even makes financial sense then to keep shaving and waxing for the rest of my life. I really appreciate the time you took out to have a candid conversation about all of this. if you are unhappy with something about yourself and changing something so small would give you more confidence I don't see the problem at all.
Can’t bare to watch any more than 5 mins of this. You are so conditioned to societies idea of ‘beauty’. So sad. Please learn to love yourself as you are, there’s much more to life than looks. You don’t seem to realise how lucky you are with what you already have!!
I’ve been watching you for years and didn’t even notice that you did anything it’s crazy, they are all very subtle ,well to me anyways. I appreciate the video it’s very informative i think people are very harsh when it comes to change but you can clearly see how much more comfortable you are in your skin and for some people who are thinking about it you have helped them out or deterred them from it if they were on the fickle end. 💕
Procedures are a luxury splurge that many adults do, and she has a platform and is informing other people, its a bit of rejuvenation and tweaking, makeup only does so much, and filler is usually just hyaluronic acid, if you look on the faces of respectable clinics you’ll see that results are pretty much always make the individual look better and refreshed!
I love how honest you are with us Sammi and that is why I always stick to your channel.. regardless of anything you are honest, anyone is entitled to do whatever they want with their body! Thank you for this, it was very informative❤️😍👏🏾
I love honest people! You have been beautiful all the years I've followed you on youtube, and look the same☺ While I don't do botox/fillers or other procedures or injections, I don't see any shame in it.
Sami thanks for being real with your viewers! Don’t listen to the “well-meaning” haters. Been a long time subscriber and you’re still gorgeous. Lots of love girlie!
Hi Sam, just some advice on the tooth whitening.. Please please please go to a dentist to have this done! And ideally not a "celebrity dentist". When it comes to anything to do with your health and body you have to be so careful with the professionals you choose to use obviously, like you said in the video, do your research 🙂 I'm not sure of the laws in the UK but here in Ireland a dentist can only sell tooth bleaching kits up to 16% carbamide peroxide which works really well... Polanite is a brand that gives really nice results but it is an at home kit. I know you said you'd like the convenience of having it done in clinic but I feel that because the at home kit is so gradual it make the process safer. Also you can keep the trays and get a top up kit in a few months or years when the coffee has taken its toll again and that way you don't have to pay for another full session 😀 anyway hope this helps, you look lovely as always pretty lady ❤️
legit shocked by the amount of judgemental and shaming comments. Sammie literally says you shouldn't NEED to get work done, and surely it's a good thing to be open about cosmetic procedures rather than denying you've had them (thus REALLY perpetuating unattainable beauty standards!) getting filler has been super helpful for me, after suffering with body dysmorphia all my life. ran it by my therapist and loved ones, did it, loved it, and it's actually helped my relationship with my face. I felt that it balanced out the parts of my face I wanted to be a bit different, thus complimenting my face as a whole. Why is it acceptable to colour our hair or get tattoos or piercings (the former being something far more permanent than filler) yet when a woman get's botox or filler, or breast implants (breast reductions are rarely treated with the same judgement btw. almost as if surgery shaming is inherently connected to our general shaming of women accentuating parts of their body's that are deemed more 'sexual') We can contour our face with makeup and it's LIT but the second we contour out face with sort-of permanence it's sad and warrants patronising "I say this with love" / "I say this with kindness" comments. Every time a woman openly discusses getting cosmetic procedures the predictable cries of 'succumbing to other peoples beauty standards' arise, with this entire camp of people forgetting that THEY hold their OWN beauty standards - which are usually no surgery and natural ageing. It's cool that that's for you, beauty is subjective after all, right. But this group of people literally just come across as passive aggressive and sanctimonious in their obsession with decrying cosmetic surgery. These sort of people bring a woman daughter into HER own decisions around HER appearance - this, not her surgery, is the real tragedy. This mum's a business woman, a hugely successful and hard working role model - and you all want to negate that because she's had some surgery? Gtfo lol
I love that it was just about you ! And satisfying the way you want to look and feel. I’m all for change as long as your not doing it for anyone but yourself. As a viewer I also think it is Awsome how honest you were about the expected results versus how the outcome actually was in your opinion so many people fail to realize a lot of us women struggle with self image it’s only natural we envy those that look the way we want to and those that do never share the facts about their transformation or the outcome or choose to share information for all the wrong reasons such as endorsement deals. Thank you for being genuinely YOU!
You looked gorgeous before and you still do now. I can’t even tell you’ve had anything on the face, looks really natural! I personally have nothing against plastic surgery/cosmetic procedures as long as people are honest about it so it’s clear whether the look is achievable naturally or with enhancement.
I think it's amazing that you do these videos. Girls like me that really want to get stuff done for ourselves really need people to talk about their experience. I'm looking to get some things done and I want to do as much research as I can. Love you Sam❤️
I LOVE THIS!!!! Yessss! I love when people are open to all the procedures they have done. It jst helps when you look at all these youtubers and stars and see how flawless they are, making you feel shitty about your own appearance. It helps to know that they were not born perfect and that hey, youd look jst as good if youd have those things done to your face too.
Not going to direct any personal comments toward the lovely Sam. Just wanted to say that I was almost relieved to read some of the comments here; insightful, intelligent and just pure common sense from a lot of people thankfully. The idea of perfection has become so dominant that young females are getting injections in their face to become more proportioned?! To me this is utter madness. Also to be honest when I look at Hollywood stars...from the ones you have ‘subtle’ work done (say Jennifer Aniston) to the not so subtle (Madonna) I don’t like what they’ve done to their faces. So starting fillers and Botox in your 20s is madness, I would be worried I’d look like a puffed out Cat woman in my 30s but that’s just me. Yes each to their own but I’m glad most other people have a sensible approach when it comes to these kind of aesthetics.
there's SO many things I want and NEED to get done and it's so comforting knowing the processes/experiences that others have had. Only thing stopping me now is money 😭😭😭
Laura agree!!!!
Sam cannot make people want surgery or feel self conscious unless they already felt it already. She should not shoulder any 'blame' for this. She's being honest and transparent.
PastelRose of course she can make people want to get themselves fixed....
Yes 100% inadeer
Same! But maybe so many people that we watch have loads of procedures so it's super normal for them
Taryn Robinson I think it’s totally normal and very common for anyone in the public eye (men and women).
TriTri Cruelty Free Beauty I agree, I definitely think that’s the case.
yes! totally agree.
@@TriTrina But what's wrong with imperfections? We all have them. Who wants to watch and relate to someone who lives this kind of lifestyle?
( your face in particular)
Some of these things comes back to hunt people later in life.
I could list many celebrities who the things they did to their faces make them look unnatural as they got older.
You're a grown woman and can do whatever you want. I'm just advising you to please be careful.
❤️Summer
Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪
Thanks for the video Sam. I'm 26 and theres a few of these things that I'm considering (though it'll take me a while to save up) would be nice to have an update video in the future talking about new things and more thoughts on the past ones XX
Couldn’t agree more
caring and loving comment
People who leave comments like this always claim to be well meaning but I feel like you know it’s none of you’re business to say. She doesn’t need you to tell her to be careful, and you don’t actually care, you just want to say your piece about what other people should do with their bodies while trying to seem ‘genuine’ 🙄🙄 not fooling anyone
Love you summer.. I need a video on this subject please..
Yes!!
The normalisation of these procedures is pretty terrifying tbh
That would leave some young women wondering about why they can’t achieve that look when, in reality, it was never a natural look anyway.
indeed. It's quite shocking how many procedures this girl needed to have to feel good about herself.Yikes.

These videos are now the norm on youtube. Sad.
JULIA LYNA not sad. It’s wonderful being able to help women feel beautiful every day!
do you have tattoos are piercings julia ? i’m sure you do ...yet there is stigma about fillers
Unless you're specifically talking about the fillers and the boob job.
why sad? because people finally feel comfortable talking about it? lets not act like this the new norm.
Parker Chase I don't think these procedures make people happy though.
Amanda Corrales With all due respect, its still a personal decision. She’s done these procedures for herself.
@@alwysfresh83 the whole point is to make Sam happy, not other people!!
You are entitled to do whatever you want to your body and face because they are yours! Beautiful inside and out. Appreciate the honesty.
everyone should do what makes them happy. but if I'm honest I'm sick of people wanting to look the same..
I'm seriously with you on that one 😩
yeah, i honest to god sometimes can't tell if someone on my explore page on ig is Kylie Jenner/Kim Kardashian or just someone with the same surgeon
Agreed. Unfortunately. I think the Kardashian’s have a lot to answer for
If your profile pic is really you, then you have been blessed with conventional beauty and honestly have no business telling people to accept themselves. It might not be as easy for them as it is for somebody who looks like you. Not everybody is as blessed as you.
I just said everyone should do what makes them happy.
I am so shocked, you and people in general talk about plastic surgery like it’s a complete normality. So crazy. As if though it was make up.
May Add it is nowadays
The only plastic surgery she mentioned was the boob job, which she has already gone into extensively in the past so there was no need to again here. Procedures like dermal fillers are becoming so non invasive that they're becoming almost on par with make up, that's just the truth sis
she only mentioned one surgery ...learn what surgery is
lol what
May Add i agree. so many young girls look up to her and she’s promoting it....smh
I just find it interesting how all the beauty bloggers I follow that made self love and confidence videos in 2008-2012 have now all succumbed to the pressures of social media by having surgical procedures. It just comes across as phoney! Like those videos 10 years ago weren’t genuine - “love yourself until you’ve got enough money to change yourself.”
Funnily enough, I have no issue with plastic surgery.
Trolls and haters commenting on people's appearance, that's why
All young girls. Please love yourself. You dont need to do any of this!
Byyrd there is a difference between needing and wanting. Yes, nobody needs it but if you know something is going to make you more confident then why not???
Exactly! Love yourself first.
This is such a good comment.
Thank you. You voiced it so eloquently and respectfully and I couldn't agree with you more. I believe she can do whatever she wants, but this channel just isn't for me anymore.
Molly Ginsburg This was so articulate and beautifully written!! You’re SO right!!! Please start a RUclips channel - we need normal people back!!!
Your comment is just on point.
Sara Stenz Aqila has always
You are being fully robbed paying £150 for lashes
Ashleigh Holgate absolutely!!!
yeah in my area it's like 65$ Canadian.
in america... that's a good deal. it sucks. it ranges from 150-200+ here.
I’ve realised that you prefer things you’ve done recently but regret doing things you’ve done quite a long time ago - I found that quite interesting
Yes. It's a little worrisome to be honest.
Honestly sounds like cosmetic procedures have become a temporary mental "pick me up" for her, not a long term solution to the actual issue of intense dysmorphia.
Or maybe the tattoos and breast implants were forced upon her by her ex and she never really wanted to get them done.
this post was not meant to pass judgement - the reasons she got them done is completely her business. Keep your superiority complexes to yourself.
mSWEETYw 🤷🏽♀️
After retweeting that Jameela Jamil video on Twitter about the Kardashians, I really hope you find these procedures more serious and unnecessary rather than the nonchalant way you talk about them.
Exactly
What do you mean? What's in the video?
nordette Jameela talks about her past eating disorder, how beauty “standards” messed with her head, how much damage is being done to young girls who believe they’ve got to change themselves, etc etc etc.
Isn't it sad that videos like that are normal on youtube now
FashionStyleLinda z exactly my thoughts
Omg my thoughts exactly and I mean it with no disrespect - but all the videos from (although I hate that word) influencers on youtube are extremely similiar now and all of them are basically capitalisms wet dreams. Everything's about what I had done or what I bought. And of course I do sometimes like to watch these types of videos, I mean I do like hearing about some new beauty products, I like vlogs etc., but it's kind of scary to think that for some people these are the primary values now.
Yup.
Sadly money can change people... :/
I ADORE your honesty. You're confident and have nothing to hide. Love you!!
Elaine Lewis a majority of the population is not symmetric
As a human being, its people who say things like "the right side of her face is off" that builds insecurities in people that do not need to have them. I watch her videos for about 7 years and never noted anything that didn't seem normal. As a nurse, you can work with plastic surgeons who are doctors and that know what they are doing, or at least people believe and trust them. And again, Sam stresses about doing your research before and even talks about her experience about the boob job and how she should have ask and question more.
She is not a role model , that would be dangerous to assume that. She is a business and she sells stuff. It’s naive to think otherwise
Should women be immune from criticism simply because the are women? How utterly bizarre.
Samantha Ferrari That is not what I said at all. What you’re suggesting is utterly bizarre and, again, not at all what I wrote. I was responding to the criticism of her couched in feminism or feminist ideals. Which, incidentally, isn’t feminism at all. Thanks for playing though.
Why are you talking about feminist? People who disagree are not feminists. You have to stop feminism bashing.
feminism is simply about equal rights for women nothing more nothing less, not this new definition ppl have tacked on to it in the past few years
twicevelvet definitions change and evolve the more people learn - but the tenants of feminism has always involved freedom to choose what happens to your body.
Sammi you forgot the under eye filler
Hello Ellen I was most interest in that such a bummer!!! I wish she would prepare her videos better, make notes of what she wants to say etc...
Why do you keep commenting this ? We know.
Kelly VonKrypt couldn’t agree more with this!
I think when her children are sammies age they'll be old enough to make the decision themselves
@@MegaMuffinXpeople are obviously influenced by their parentd example. To pretend otherwise is dangerously naive
MsMorepinkplease no shit. But again, when her daughter is her age... she’ll be old enough to make a decision on her own. To pretend otherwise is dangerously naive
@@MegaMuffinX you just repeated your point and tacked on the end of mine. E for effort
You're paying well over the odds for those lash extentions..
Revill7 wayyy over. I pay £40!
Yeah I gasped at that..
Maria Em where do you get yours done?
Hannah Obsiye In birmingham, if your from there il let you know who i go to :)
Maria Em hey Hun, I'm from Brum, can you let me know where you go and tag their insta please?
Lol
Catt Lewis Done*
everyone is so negative if someone has the money and wants to get something done then good on them ! kylie jenner had pretty extreme lip filler in at age 16 who has millions of young girls that look up to her. You are stunning , i appreciate how honest and real you are xxxxxx
wow bummer.. this makes me lowkey sad
Sammi that lash extension tech is ripping you off. £150 is a scam.
Wow this video is depressing. I hope my beautiful little girl never feels she’s not enough.
I think about my daughter too 😢
I fear for my daughter growing up in this age of social media and unrealistic beauty norms
Hi Samantha,
I have to say, that I agree with a lot of the comments on this video and it makes me so happy and relieved, that people are taking a critical stand on this topic.
Gutted you didn't touch on the under eye filler stuff you got a while ago. Super intrigued by your thoughts on that!
You’re gorgeous x
Omg 150 for lash extensions😨 up north they start from £30 or something ridiculously cheap
Aroosah1 that’s mad pricing I pay £40 x
Totally agree with you! I am so disgusted to see so many negative comments. I’m like they knew what the topic was and are just here to troll.
Sami, I noticed you started getting a lot more done after you got married. We love you and this isn’t healthy.
I love this but love you so much more for being honest! Honesty all the way! xx
The comments on this video are really refreshing. The world my little nieces are growing up in frightens me.
You didn't talk about your tear trough fillers x
What are those?
nordette they go right under your eyes, people usually get them to help with sunken eyes or under eye bags
@@MichaelaaaReneeee thanks!
So funny you say this, I was waiting for her to talk about it!
I've been watching you for years and I've never once thought you needed anything done.
when she is old enough to realise herself what her mum is doing she will be too old to think her mum is cool anyway...
larakr90 some people never stop thinking their mum is cool 🤗
omg y’all are really in your high horses today . What if your child find out you are acting self righteous around other parents
Indie will be an adult and can do whatever she wants... wont listen to her mum again anyway until she's 30! 😂😂😂
That women can do whatever the hell they want?
Lucile Capelle ...but are they really doing what they want? In their heart of hearts, is this truly what they are choosing for themselves?
rather that if you're a woman you're gonna have to put all of your money and thoughts towards your appearance.
Uh Huh why should I? (-:
elise dejesus it’s all true what you stated, and that’s why my comment reflects MY opinion and not anyone else’s.
Depression and anxiety amongst teens has increased exponentially in the last few years due to social media... And you wonder why ........
i totally didn't realize you got your mole removed. i loved it, but whatever makes you happy. i support you xx
I love that you’ve talked about this and all of your different experiences! Well done for talking about all of it in such a normal way.
Procedures are a luxury splurge that many adults do, and she has a platform and is informing other people, its a bit of rejuvenation and tweaking, makeup only does so much, and filler is usually just hyaluronic acid, if you look on the faces of respectable clinics you’ll see that results are pretty much always make the individual look better and refreshed!
didn't you have under eye fillers too?
I LOVE THIS COMMENT!!!
And you're not even 30. So sad.
Perhaps it's sad at any age.
