Great introduction to your Lithium conversion. It is still a pretty intimidating project for most RVers at least it was for Pearl and me and I think your series just might answer many of the question folks have about the conversion to Lithium. We’re looking forward to the next episode. I might add, I really enjoyed your editing on the video it was fun to watch.
Thanks Bob, really hope to break it down, try and answer those nagging questions. BTW, tested the auto Gen start this am by running the hot water heater off the inverter 👍😎
Thanks David, everyone said that when I gave up my flip phone too which wasn't long ago 😂 both cooktops I found on Amazon, there is quite a problem with the induction tops and parasitic draw (heads up)
Great Video Dave and Bob! When we purchased our Monaco it needed new house and chassis batteries so I installed 2 Lithium house and 2 AGM chassis. I did not replace the Magna Sine ME2012 inverter but did get a new remote. I am able to charge the lithium using Constant Current/ Constant Voltage setting. My alternator only charges the AGM chassis batteries. I did have to install a trickle charger to keep the chassis batteries charged while plugged in. I will eventually replace my inverter with a new pure sine wave. Hope to see you soon.
Great intro to the project. I've keep putting this off as something else seems to go wrong with the coach. (It's been in the Caterpillar shop for the last month) I've found that when boondocking, we use about 220AH so with 4 GC batteries, the generator needs to be run a couple of times per day. I only have 630watts of solar so that needs to be doubled. This is going to be a good series.
We didn't even bother with connecting the alternator when we put in our lithium batteries. It's easier to spend 10 more minutes in the sun for solar or run the generator 5 extra minutes. The alternator does so little over all it's not worth the time or worry

You and Bob work so great together! Between the two of you even I got totally in to the intrigue and excitement of learning how it all works!
Working with Bob was definetly a help 👍🤗
Always enjoy an interview with Bob & Pearl!!🥰
Absolutely 👍
It is about time. Looks good. Love the new stove. Where did you find that? Ninette would like a new one.

With that setup you had just a little more power than I did for the past 3 years 👍
The CC charging profile works for lithium if you have it I say run with it! Have had issues with some appliances not running with the mod sign power

We pretty much run the same on power, solar and generator time👍 those hours add up quickly 😖
Dave, good job and I like that you explain everything in plain english.
Thanks Don, hope to break it down in future episodes as well 👍😎
@@OurEndeavor That will be great.

Very true 👍 so long as the alternator is separated (many don't, just run with it until... 😖)
Looks awesome Dave!!! (And BOB!) Life is going to be so much better for you going down the road.
I should be a little quieter to be around too 😂
Welcome to the 21st century. I installed my lithium in 2016. ;)
Hey I had a flip phone until 2015... I'm just stubborn that way 😂
BTW, still on the same batteries?
@@OurEndeavor yes and still just as much capacity as when I installed them
