- Vast abandoned area inc. farmsteads surrounded by the worlds largest China Clay deposits, for a number of reasons I've chosen not to name ANY locations here, some segments I have chosen not to show for a number of reasons. Any comments with locations will not be accepted.
Kaolin (clay) is mined with jets of water before being 'washed', it was often referred to as "china" to signify its quality & to market it as an equivalent to the esteemed Chinese porcelain.
The former conveyor belt tunnels are likely where the aggregate and sand waste were separated off with some going up to the waste tips, vast areas are now abandoned as production has moved to Brazil in recent years.
Just absolutely love your video the places are stunning thank you so much I don't get out much with my disability and you take me to places I can only wish I could go to so massive thank you 👍👍👋
another brilliant explore!! really interesting!! thanks!!!!!
Great explore of clay country. So much of it lying idle nowadays.
The last farm house looks like someone was working on it, then left it again.
Interesting watch👍
Guess this area was abandoned and due to be dug out, but signs of a new roof & maybe some hope for these homes with the works slowly closing and no longer extending.

The clay industry bought up these small farms Back in the day if the pit ever needed to expand that way. But it seem a waste not to let the old farmhouses out in the mean time. If the clay industry continues to decline things may change. There is enough old burrows from the mines hear in cornwall without adding to it.
We filmed it 2 years ago m8
