Well you are actually updating the actuator eprom itself. The ECM shows the firmware in the actuator. If you cannot update the actuator and you verified the update is for your part number actuator then you may have a bad actuator. Try using the private data link 3 pin on the engine just incase there is too much traffic over the vehicle's data bus.
@@ENGINESHOPJOE I appreciate your response. I had to get the proper firmware from Cummins. The firmware I tried to use for my actuator part number was not correct (even though it had the application code my ECM asked for). So far so good. This problem was definitely something I had not seen before. Great video by the way!
