Could anyone imagine the kid on the bike in the original photo taken in 1886, kicking up a stink and calling GDPR/invasion of human rights? My god this world has gone totally mental. Probably because its run by folk who have mental illness and should have been committed to an asylum years ago, but sadly the government and the do gooders figured it was best to sell the asylums, turn them into private dwellings and let joe public deal with nutters and woe be tied any of us who calls em out. Back in the 1960's this building was a bakery called Blanchards. My dad was a baker at this place. Used to come home with a fresh uncut loaf, still warm. I go past it most days and the smell of new bread is gorgeous. Keep up the great work you do, I have watched a lot of your videos, and some day i hope to have seen them all.

The wall round the dismantled tank stand is probably a “Bund” which is required around any overground tank to contain any spillage from a leak. Fun fact: it’s meant to contain 110% of the capacity of the tank.

We have similar things here in the states and we call it secondary containment. It's to protect the environment in the event that the primary container fails.
The extra 10% is to allow for the body of the bloke who was trying to stop the leak! .... or anyone who caused the leak in the first place!

I think DJ is killing two birds with one stone.
He ain't educatiing anyone. He only does this because he earns alot of money from youtube. If he really cares about showing people these companies he could easily get in contact with them and do it the right way. He goes till these places recording people that don't want to be recorded and when someone records him he puts a mask over his face what an absolute clown. He goes till these places knowing theres a high chance that the staff don't want him recording he does this to create drama he knows exactly what he is doing.
If someone doesn't want recoreded while at work that's up to them but this fool won't even blur a face unless he gets hit with a privacy strike.

Gary's Bike Shed story( will try to keep it short, happened long ago, know the story through people involved at the time):
There was a long time employee (30+y served), Gary, who had no immediate family, lived alone, kept himself to himself, worked long into his retirement age... at some point stopped showing up for work, people assumed he retired, noone bothered much, old man past away in his home, body was found after neighbours reports, noone from company even bothered going to funeral which was almost empty, some felt bad about it so named bike shed in his name as if somehow this makes everything less awful (much cheaper option than paying the man redundancy money he well deserved)
If true then that is APALLING behaviour from a famous company. So Gary worked there for over 30 YEARS until one day without warning he didn't turn up, and NOBODY cared to find out if the old man was okay??? And as for ignoring his funeral... WTF
Love your witty humour and the way they look like rabbits in headlights, always has me glued to the screen, I work in utilities so if you’re interested here’s the colours for the markings cadent were doing.
Colours as follows:-
Yellow-gas
Blue-water
Red-electric,numbers with the voltage 240v/11kv/33kv/132kv
Green-fiber,virgin media/city fiber ect
White-Bt/telecoms or drains and sewers, markings will be different to suit.
Orange- something located but unsure what it is, trail hole to identify

Well thanks to the Rottweiler at the beginning, Hovis has missed the opportunity to shine. The managers were just caught in the headlights lol but seriously what a lovely old building. 👍

I enjoy your videos and wish I had the same skills to deal with people on the level you do. Before my accident, no man scared me, but since I ended up being disabled, the thought of having to deal with people who could turn violent leaves me with feelings of impotence.

Actually now you mention it, security staff are typically having a large & overactive amygdala with a heightened sense of fear, so any un-typical movements scare them and put them on this "high alert". They only know how to respond with a "heightened sense of fear" and it shows!

The bike shed was named after a colleague that worked there and was always seen leaving/arriving on his trusty cycle. Similiar to the memorial out front, a nice touch.

1:55 Normally when someone puts their hand up their about to grab something, so it's quite normal to react and think they might assault you. Slapping it away is therefore a valid form of self-defence. But it must be done when attack is felt to be imminent, and with no hesitation otherwise it could be seen as initiating an attack on the other person.

The old storage tank looked like it had a low wall around it, so the tank probably held fuel.
I think it was a 'bunded' fuel tank, so if it leaks it collects the fuel (in theory!) - as you say 👍

Hey brother. Need some expert advice on restriction zones on drone assist. In particular the light red circles that surround the dark red circles the explanations are very vague. Can you fly in the lighter shade of red zones?
From being a non-drone user who watches these videos, yes if it's a 249 gram drone.
However some of those could possibly be areas where you need to be above a certain height like prisons.
DJ they think you are an bakery spy for a rival company. These people do not know how to promote their business.
What on Earth makes you think you have any say in what happens on the public footpath?
At 16:08 you are examining the walled rectangle in the ground. 45 ish years ago, I worked for a transport company that had its own above ground fuel tanks for their lorries. The tanks were raised off the ground for gravity feed of the fuel, but they had to have a walled catchment area built around them, that if memory serves, had to be large enough to contain the contents of the tank in case of a leak or rupture of the tank. So my guess is that's the site of an old diesel, petrol or oil tank.
Also at 19:50 you come back to the tanker, working at the same place, I was an apprentice HGV sprayer at the time, we sprayed a few flour tankers for Hovis, that just looks like a more modern one. They have to tilt them up like that because flour is quite difficult to unload, I believe they tilt them at the same time as pumping compressed air into the tank to help force the flour out.

Typically, this requires the company to reasonably accomodate such persons extra needs, with special training etc. Often such persons are excellent workers! So, I think you can understand where I'm going with this, when it comes to publishing video content online without consent and the ethical questions around this. PS - I'm a big fan of the channel and DJ!

I have a hard time understanding why big label companies insist on pretending that they employ numpties in the name of equality, when we all know they employ them because they are cheap and easy to exploit. I know we "all" make fun of their ignorance and its entertainment, but its unfair to the employee and the blame must be squarely shouldered by the employer who fails to give basic training.
In the 60s it used to be Wonderloaf Bakery...As far as i know the factory was purpose built for the "Wonder Loaf"
Think it was Blanchards Bakery back then, when they made Wonderloaf. They used to have a fleet of vans delivering to households.

I've seen quite a few of your videos and love them. One thing that fascinates me with your drone is that it won't let you fly if you're in a restricted area and won't let you fly into one either. Is that extra software you've had to buy or does that come with the drone? I'm seriously interested in getting the same drone because of your videos.
