I absolutely LOVE the videos with Brian in them. Why? He's a no BS kind of guy and it adds authenticity to the claims Ronen makes. It's also refreshing to hear someone speak his truth and not care if he hurts some Karen's feelings. I would have loved to have videos of time in the truck during loading/unloading and how the inside is during downtime/sleeping. A no BS view of those things would be refreshing and informative for a potential new driver on those creature comforts and how to best protect your health/body.

Very, very… interesting. I have a 2019 VNL with an X15 and auto shift plus 3. I had put in a Carrier APU that virtually eliminated my idling and maintained a very nice comfort level. 90 day average 8.03 mpg. Like you ripped out the stock seat for a Legacy Silver. Computer read outs don’t mean anything, the manual calculations are the only true data. With the current resell market I have been thinking next year of selling it and buying a new Western Star 5700xe. Cascadia frame and drive-train with a much better O/O interior and comfort level. BUT, that one box DPF system scares the hell out of me. On average 400,000 to 800,000 mi life cycle with a $15,000 replacement cost. Maybe the best course of action is to hold the Volvo run it another 7 or 8 years and retire. Even if I had to do an in-frame it would be worth it. I am very interested to see what your decision will be. As for me I would chase my wife around the kitchen table too, like you said. But if after being retired for a few months I think she will be the one chasing me with a butcher knife in one hand and a cellphone talking to her lawyer in another. :-)

Can't believe it's 90 days already. Awesome video. I got really bad news and then really good news this week. Pennsylvania adopted California carb rules as of Jan 1st 2022. What that means for me is since new truck built is pushed off to first quarter of next year 4200 bucks plus 5000 in price increases for 2022 so 9200 bucks added to price. Good news a few people canceled orders and my build date is now December 2021 and don't have to have the new emissions nor the new price increase. So saving 9200 and getting it before Christmas 🎄 😅.

I know one of your first complaints was about the stereo, and I definitely agree. However I'm currently driving some new 2022 Cascadias out to BC , for the company I had been with the past 5.5 years ( getting an Ontario job after this) , and the stereo isn't as bad as older models. I think just changing the front speakers , and the sound might be quite good. If I buy one for myself I expect I would change the rears as well though.

You could always go with western star. New one or older one. Whichever way you want to go. Older one you could get the 12.7 Detroit in it and those things are huge inside. Or a newer one with the dd15 and you can still have the long nose classic look as well.

Hi, I'm a company driver from Germany, currently driving fresh food (meat, dairy and fish products to be precise). A Month ago my company got a 2022 Mercedes Actros with Mirror cameras and active drive assistant (means, the truck autonomously keeps the lane by camera input, as long as there are lane markings on the road).
With an average road speed of 33.5 mph and motorway speed of 53 mph I managed a fuel/mileage ratio of 22.5 Litres/100 km, which equates to around 10.5 miles per gallon.
Thank you for your great content. My last company, which is specialized in building site delivery, started such kind of channel too, however, the population of English speakers tends to bay WAY higher then those who understand RUclips vids in German.

Well I was driving a 23 Freightliner and a weird thing happened I don't know exactly how but the truck didn't start The 4 ways didn't work and The truck would not start this was at a fuel stop. Had to do something with the Ignition I don't know That monster was outlined in it yeah we are experienced and then a 1/2 an hour later try it again then it started It would turn the key on before the wipers would start going the 4 ways didn't work And then it started working again a little later And the truck only had less than 40000. And it happened on the weekend just imagine how scared we were When that happened. It was something too experienced especially the 2nd time on a truck especially a 2023 system adaptive cruise control be aware of that How that truck will perform 2 years from now who knows but it was kind of interesting to have that happened in a new truck. So I wouldn't sign off on the modernnized version just yet. And of course the steering alignment wasn't that great And a Steer assist It is Something to do to get used to But the truck handled well we get 9 miles or 10 Carrying just about the same amount of weibut But we didn't get to the Miles on the truck added a real quick. So so these newer modern trucks with the headaches add it to them and sensors and all that other stuff might be an issue a little later on the 90 days but make the best of what you got I guess Because they're not going to try to make an old thing work better. They want to see it go away but but somebody's old trucks do run a lot better But maybe if he was Govern and his truck, probably that 5.2 or 6 would be 7 or 8 miles. But that dam clock doesn't wait for anybody.

My 94 379 Pete is down for a engine overhaul. I drove a 2021 cascadia for 7 days and I can’t wait until I get my truck back together. My right leg is beat up from the stupid drink holder and dash. The metal grab bars next to you and by the left knee are a pain in the ass. I’m 6’5” tall and my Pete has more leg room in it. The seat in this cascadia sucks, it’s like riding on a board. I never used the sleeper, I sleep in a holiday inn at night. I think it has a dd13 in it and it is slow and sluggish with the automatic transmission. To each their own. I would never own one of these trucks.

Great series, really hope you can do another 90 days in the T 680. No offense but I just think freightshakers feel cheap. Whatever you end up doing Brian, I hope we get to see it here. Cheers!

I'm driving a 21 cascadia and absolutely hate it . It's pure junk . Built in Mexico. I got it brand new . The first week both doors about fell off . Hinge bolts were loose and could turn them with your fingers . Electrical issues . Every time you turn the key windshield wipers will cycle . Rattles like crazy . Microwave cabinet will vibrate loose . The screws in the front of it loosen and let cabinet drop . Ac has a Short in wiring harness . Blower will quit and have to pull the cover from fuse box reach behind dash and wiggle wiring to get it to come back on . Plugs are tight but something is loose . Seats just suck period . Electrical outlets are awful . Was in shop 4 times for the axle flange seals . Blowing oil everywhere. Biggest piece of shit I've driven in 28 years of driving . If it catches fire I'll beat the hell out of anybody that has a fire extinguisher in their hand . Legendary freightliner quality my ass . And it only has 206000 miles on it .
