Hi Paul please don’t stop as your view and analysis of the scandal is so interesting. Would love to hear what you think on the recent developments in the UK. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the update, most welcome; no need to apologise as life has a habit of throwing periodic curve-balls. Looking forward to seeing more analysis of TP's session - plus I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on the riotous events in England.
Thanks for the update… please take your time …. I can wait for your insights, which are very interesting and enjoyable…your wellbeing is more important.
Dr Paul, please don’t worry. Take your time and I look forward (as we all do) to hearing your thoughts on the Post Office inquiry. Your insight into the Post Office inquiry is compelling! I’d be interested in your insights of what is happening in the UK, especially as you have ties to the UK but live in Australia. I am in the UK. We are ok, but clearly worried about the ever increasing attack on liberties, freedom of speech and the 2 tier policing that is emerging not just in society but in the workplace. The rise in violence to the native UK citizens, especially the Children is distressing and many of us don’t feel safe. Many families I know have fear in their hearts where once there was love. Troubling times politically. I won’t comment on the riots - right now in the UK we can’t say anything for fear of being misunderstood or arrested. Zero tolerance! Best wishes to you.
Always look forward to your analysis, Dr Duckett, but please don't put yourself under pressure. It's a privilege to listen to your take on all the issues that strike you, not a right. Having said that, I would love to hear your take on Stephen Dilley (Post Office Inquiry). When you're good and ready, we'll be delighted to see you. 💐
G'day from across the ditch again. Thanks for the update, and as noted already, life has a habit, more so these days me thinks, of dabbling in the day to day routine but pleased all the same you are following up with more on the GPO. Most certainly want to hear your thoughts on the continuing GPO debacle, particularly in regards to Tim Parker whose comments on his so called "management oversight", or lack there of, simply left me speechless to be honest. Also interested in hearing your take on the UK riots which seems to be following a worrying trend in extremism that is developing around the world.
Good to see you today Paul. I too always look forward to your video’s and your expert analysis but only when the time is right for you. Best regards from the UK
No worries!! Who can forget Tim Parker... and as well, he admitted to requesting that he work even less! Without any cut in overblown pay, I'm sure! Irregardless, we'll remember these charming valiants of the PO, and will still be in step with you as time unfolds!! Thanks so much and looking forward!
Dear Doctor. Thank you for your update. Please don't worry, we all know that you have 'stuff to do' other than RUclips. Your videos excellent when they appear and are worth waiting for. As for here in the UK, it has all calmed down at bit . . . for now, and the 'justice mill' seems to have swung into action surprisingly quickly for right wing violence.
Thanks for the update. Looking forward to hearing your further thoughts on the Post Office Scandal. There's so much to wade though and to think about so you can easily be forgiven for taking a little while.
I think you are brilliant! I love your videos...and your closing out music always makes me cry, it's so beautiful.. Looking forward to seeing you again when you are ready 🤗
Take all the time you need Paul, we just appreciate your analysis. Little Timmy Parker will be a treat to hear . I was shocked by the riots but even more so by the mobilisation of the good citizens who counter-protested the rioters. They gave me hope that the xenophobes and racists are no longer the majority in little Britain.
Thanks for your post, Paul. Life gets in the way sometimes when you really intend doing something. Please don't feel the need to apologise. I'd be really interested in your take on Tim Parker at the Post Office inquiry. He took the term 'laid back' to a whole new level whilst coming over as a lazy rich sloth. Like you, the riots in parts of England and Northern Ireland horrified me, if only because so many people were stirred up by right-wing demagogues and media outlets. The inciters, of course, cowards that they are, did all their dirty work from a safe distance. The amount of poisonous lies disseminated for nefarious purposes also startled me (and I consider myself to be an experienced old cynic who isn't easily shocked). Your sane take on these matters would be very welcome. Thanks in advance. Take care and keep up your invaluable work.
Hi Paul, I’m genuinely interested in hearing your thoughts on the recent unrest in your country of origin. I feel that your perspective, shaped by personal and cultural experiences, would provide some unique insight. From my point of view, it seems both sides in this conflict hold valid concerns, while the immigration policies have somewhat failed to achieve social cohesion. Additionally, I sense a psychological shift within the UK, USA, and even Australia's collective identity rooted in multiculturalism to one increasingly centered on nationalism. This transition, if it is occurring, raises intriguing questions about how these changes may influence group dynamics and individual identities. Cheers mate.
Hey buddy, came across the videos after watching hundreds of hours of the PO enquiry. Your analysis of these guys is incredible. I'd love to see you rip up Jarnail Singh, the guy is a complete study
Take your time.Hope your wonky work, straightens out soon. Yes an in-depth into the riots. When you can please. And more post office especially rodric Williams. Above all else take care of yourself x
Thanks for the update. Re the UK riots, just back from a few days holiday in London (resident in Spain) and found the place to much the same as usual, life was going on as normal, and people were generally friendly. Normal, of course, means overpriced hotels and public transport (trains also unreliable, stations unmanned, and ticket machines didn't accept foreign payment cards) but apart from that....😀
It sounds like you are going through a bit of a rough patch. I hope you have some good colleagues you can debrief with. I'd love to hear your take on the riots in the UK. I hope your friends and family are safe there.
Hi Paul, listened to a lot of you PO videos and it's interesting to hear the understanding and knowledge you bring. I also thought you might enjoy reading "The Unaccountablility Machine " by Dan Davies (especially Ch 5 on building Unaccountablility into a system).
The riots were a bit of a flash in the pan. You can easily be in the UK and be totally unaffected by it. The courts have dealt with a lot of the perpetrators swiftly and severely and I guess this has had a big calming effect. The narrative has moved on now to the people in positions of power, who fermented it and will they be prosecuted.
I'm glad to say tough sentences and the anti racism peaceful protests has some what squashed to violence communities are standing together and saying no not in my town or city hatred will never win so proud of communities coming together to tell these thugs to get lost.
Hello Dr Paul hang in there man. Yes as a Brit I'd be interested in riot analysis. Or as my friend said a few years ago "why is everyone so angry ?". And, this may be a niche item, but today 17/9/24 there's a Guardian report about a proposed protest by some fans at an English football match about high prices for upcoming European games. They crowd funded 16,000 red cards for fans to wave but hardly anyone did and the protest was a fiasco despite "outrage" online. Interesting group behaviour
Thought “Oh no, what has DeJoy done now?” and so clicked you on. I saw the movie about this British horror show, so I watched you. I promise, Dr. Paul, you are not being unfair. First, has anyone ever told Tim Parker he looks like he’s wearing a weird, white baseball cap? Ludicrous. As ludicrous as Sir Tim’s arrogant non-apology apology worthy of Shakespearean hubris. Second, I thought as I listened to him the same as when I watched the movie. This is just another case of the we’re-never-wrong, hoity-toity, aristocratic “better” class pretending it is just so, so wearisome having to put up (35:08) “at the risk of sounding a little boring” with the oh so ignorant, pesky, don’t-know-their-betters, great unwashed lower classes, meaning anyone who is not them. It’s not just some invisible sense of scale that’s distorted. It’s their whole world view. Some professor once told my class that anyone who keeps saying “honestly” is lying-because what does one think he’s there for in the first place? To lie in public? To lie to the British people? Nuts. Why today’s great unwashed who must vastly outnumber the British pseudo-better class put up with such nonsense is incomprehensible to an American. At 36:01 “and I have to keep reminding you”-right, the dunces you, Sir Tim, are speaking to just can’t possibly comprehend how difficult it is to push paper a couple days a month and still make it on time to cocktails in tie and tales. And it’s not 52:48 that a certain percent of people are going to be crooks but, hummm, “in hindsight,” that it’s clearly *the lower class* where there are certainly, absolutely going to be crooks. Not, oh never, the upper class who just play spy and betray their country for sport. But crooks? Not milady and her gentleman, no no. We in America have our issues, we’re the first to admit that. But this kind of thing in the 21st century? We have Trump, yes. But you guys have a whole, entrenched class of Trumps. Well, the astrologers say that with Pluto now in Aquarius for decades, equality is one Aquarian Age reality that *will* come. If there’s any truth at all to that, your British class structure is cruising for a very hard bruising. Astrology or not, it still looks like you Brits are fighting 18th century battles in the 21st. 1:04:21 Dr. Paul, you don’t appear to see this: What Sir Tim is really saying is the minions do not *deserve* an apology. Giving an authentic one would lower Sir Tim to the crooked, troublesome, jailed, bothersome level. That level? Human. By the way, it sounds to me that in the US your field of psychology is called Social Psychology. It may have been my social psych professor who made the honestly comment.
The Post Office Inquiry itself is on holiday so a refresher on some of the evidence will be good whenever you are able. The riots seem to have quietened down for the time being. Personally I'm not sure that will last very long. There are things the government are doing that will make life more expensive and difficult but not addressing contentious problems. So one unanticipated event like a winter of 1947 or 63 could be enough to trigger all sorts of problems
Looking forward to your analysis of the protests. Is 2 teir Keir's government the most repressive, authoritarian, inept, treacherous in our history and how can we sack him ?
…..does your opinion include Ms Truss’s 40 days? Seriously I’m genuinely interested to hear why you feel so strongly about a government that has only been in power for approx six weeks?
Please take your time Dr Paul. Always enjoy your insights.

I'm sure it will be worth it when it's done. Also, yes would love to hear your thoughts on the UK riots.
Paul, I always welcome your views. I don't always agree with them and sometimes I've changed my view but they're always thought provoking
Looking forward to your insight

Musk and Farage a pain.
