My parents told a story about how when I was about 3 or 4 we had gone out for the evening and my dad had this awful feeling we needed to get home right away. It was very warm in the house and my dad deduced I had climbed up on the chair in front of the thermostat and cranked it up to like 80 something. We had an oil furnace in the basement too and it was my dad's worst fear it would blow up while we were gone somewhere.
Hallucinations due to gas leaks are a common skeptical explanation for ghosts, so the idea of a ghost that points to the gas leak is just wonderful! I can't say I cared too much for the investigative team (I believe that ghosts exist; I also believe that charlatans exist,) but the idea of the story was pretty cool! 👌
