The Pegasus 39 is one of my all time favorite casual shoes. Can wear them all day long (30k+ steps) without any fatigue. Glad to see the 40 out so I can triple up on the 39 for cheap 😂
The upper mesh of peg 39 feels like plastic with lil bit movement of toes while running. I loved the upper mesh of peg 40 compared to 39. Try it and you’ll feel the difference
I really like the Pegasus line. They’ve been consistent over the years with being a comfortable shoe, but yeah, some of the models have been more narrow than others. Luckily they usually have a decent offering in the wider versions. Plus they look pretty slick
Pegs are incredible shoes. I ran through 5 pairs of the 39s over the past year. I run about 200 miles per month in the pegs. I tap the shoes out at about 400-450 miles and even then they still have everyday life left in them. Great yard shoes at that point 😂 Probably the most consistent everyday road runner on the market IMO. Those invincible run 3s were too bouncy and the arches were high for me. Hyped to try these 40s out. Salute Chris as always for these incredible videos!
Nightwing really should be paid by Nike and other brands, his reviews are the go-to for just about every release and are 99.9999999% accurate, awesome content
I think he does have a relationship so they will send him units for review. I just get that feeling cuz there’s been shoes he says he doesn’t like but then will say very positive aspects for balance
I supinate and love the 39s. The round edge in the forefoot heavily assists me in the toe off and forefoot push area. I'm the kind of user that kills shoes and needs shoes to do what my foot tells them to, not a shoe that's gonna command my feet to be a certain pose or angle. Rounded outsole like these and kyrie style outsoles are magic for supinaters that tear thru shoes
I actually bought my first pair of Pegagsus 39s a few months ago. I always overlooked them because they were so inexpensive I figured they wouldn't be that comfortable plus I've never really been a fan of Zoom in terms of comfort but man was I wrong. I own 4 pairs of React Infinity Flyknits, and 3 pairs of Pegasus Turbos and the inexpensive Pegasus 39s are right up there in comfort.
@@BobRoss-wm3lc um, i think the flyknit 2s and then I own 2 pairs of the OG Epic Reacts which is what the react infinity flyknits used to be before they changed the name.
@@NonLegitNation2 yup exactly. The OG epic reacts, I liked them to, but the only thing I thought was weird was how on the bottom, the heel and the toe areas were hard, but the rest of the bottom was soft. I always thought that eventually that would start to feel weird on your feet, am I wrong?
We made it to 40 everyone!.. lol These have been an underdog running shoe ever since there release and even now they are very slept on. Great vid you guys. Thanks
They were already on sale a couple of days ago (sadly it ended) and I managed to score two pairs for 70 bucks each. The Pegasus line is my favorite for daily walking and standing around. Stable yet the cushioning is amazing. 😌
I'm not a fan of nike for long runs but I recently purchased a pair of Pegasus 39 for $40 and all I can say is, I love them. I run anywhere from 3-5 miles and I have no issues doing so. Great shoe. I usually run in New Balance.
I remember getting the 92 pegasus in 1992. Man, it was such a comfortable shoe. I had it in black with hints of silver (I think it was hints of silver). I've searched all over for it in recent year's, but couldn't find one. I noticed that nike put zoom in some of the 92 retros. I keep meaning to try them.
Hmm Zoom Air in the ‘92 release interesting. I haven’t seen the release stateside recently but they have retroed the original ’83 last year & the ‘89s this year
Great video, as always! Nike did the same packaging for my Vaporfly 3's, except that they were not packaged inside of another box. So anyone along the shipping process, or anyone who saw the box sitting at my door could tell what was inside! I didn't like that. I've heard both good and bad about the Pegasus. I guess that I'll just have to check them out for myself. Thanks for another dope video from Weartesters!
I am a huge fan of the pegasus for walking. I do prefer the older tooling before they made it wider, but they are still very comfortable. I am an even bigger fan of the trail versions with thicket rubber. They have really helped my knees. I have a bunch of invicible run 1s and 1 version 2. I tried on a 3 and loved it but will wait for the price to go down. I'm a 9 for pegasus. 8.5 for peg trails. 9 for version 1 and 3 in the invincible run and 8.5 in version 2. Not sure if you find the sizes changing for yourself as well.
The Pegasus 39 is one of my all time favorite casual shoes. Can wear them all day long (30k+ steps) without any fatigue. Glad to see the 40 out so I can triple up on the 39 for cheap
Not sure why but this was one of my favorite reviews and I only buy Pegasus when the price is dirt cheap. Stopping Jordan at 45 would be such a great idea! Would drive up sales for that last model and then they just focus on making Player exclusives..
I just bought the 39 on sale and they are some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve worn. Tried the 40 on when I saw them in the store and they’re basically the same feel w some slight tweaks to the materials
I know they don’t want to stray from the formula too much with the Pegasus, but I still expected a little more excitement for the 40th (!) version! Maybe release a special pack with the same CW in a Peg 40 and a Peg 83.
I loved the Pegasus since I began with the 38th model around mid-last year, it felt like a reborn Air Copious (anyone remember those, they literally felt like I was running on air with each step though that could've been the air bag already decompressed after my dad wore them for so long!) since I picked the colorway based on the Copious' white, gray, and blue colorway. I much prefer the 39th model!
I agree that the men’s colors often suck. I’ve had pegasus since 36 n have gotten some unique colors on the cheap. I’ve never paid above $70 for any generation/ Nike always has some aggressive sales on these. The shield waterproof versions are maybe the most useful versatile sneaker out there for folks who have dogs, house upkeep, etc
Most times, when I receive shoes in a single box (that is a box inside of a plastic bag), the box gets damaged. Like you said, if it is a shoe that I am going to use/abuse, I do not care about the box. But if it is a collector´s item, I want the box pristine. That may be a problem with the "move to zero" thing.
The Pegasus 36 is still my favourite model of the Pegasus line. Unfortunately, the zoom unit popped after stepping on a little nail. I have the 37 at the moment. They are decent, but a bit narrow in the mid-fot. But i got them ln discount, so i can't really complain.
From Memory The Pegs now have different PSI in the units in the forefoot for Men and Women's. This might be why you are not stoked about the cushioning
You give me idea to buy women version now if they are same design! often they have better colorways. Especially for all pure white/cleaner colors. I've never liked nike runners until I bought the Peg 38 to do my daily walks to work. They are the most comfortable shoes to walk and stand all day - great for holidays! But still feel the asics or other shoes are better for running.. The Pegs just feel heavy, flat, slow for running. But for walking they r the best!
