but there is something to consider... if we believe EVERYTHING written in the bible.. IS inspired... then that means it ALL MUST be 100% true..
      Ephesians 1:4,5 tells us this...
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
if we take this strictly on face value... then we must conclude that NO one will go to hell in the final judgement.. since God predestined US unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ...
then this would seem to state... we are ALL pre chosen by God to be with Him in heaven one day... right?..
if you believe some will go to hell when they die...
what separates those going to heaven from those going to hell?..
man's free will?.. then what you are saying.. man's free will is stronger than God's will for man... that man is capable of gong against God...
but how can we.. when in Jesus' prayer of John 17 He states He has not lost any that the Father has given Him...
" While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled."
      this one being JUDAS
we must thereby deduct that Judas was one NOT chosen by God to have Jesus keep... correct?..
. and so we see that God DOES predetermine some to be lost..."so that scripture may be fulfilled.."..
which scripture..?.. there are many... how about this one?..
      Proverbs 16:4
"The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil."
who are the wicked?... and when is the day of evil?..
in Job's day.. this happened the day when God gave Satan permission to torment Job.. for the rest of us.. it could be any time.. when the LORD needs His purposes to be fulfilled..

It’s not much else to listen to. Which brings a point off that eventually you start believing the teachings and doctrines of these people because of nothing to listen to in the pre-Internet days lol.
But just a comment on this comment about the term “forced salvation” which I never heard until now lol but it made me think and make this comment and question what about Saul of Tarsus, who is chosen from his mothers womb, and yet in a way he was forced to surrender, which is one of the few unique ways that someone got saved, yet he still could’ve resisted the Lord (free will) instead of asking, who are you? He could’ve said how dare you blind me!

It is correct that the apostle Paul quoted from the psalms AND isaiah in Romans 3. I am just curious that when he wrote "No one is righteous, not one", you interpret it that he only referred to the fools and the wicked as a context. Isn't it that when we say "no one", it meant no one?
David wrote in Psalm 14:3 that "They have ALL turned aside, together they have become corrupt, there is none who does good, not even one", with the previous verse stating that the Lord looks down from the heavento see IF there are those who understand, who seek God?
If context is what we are looking for, we need to quote the rest of Psalm 14? Psalm 14:1 is the starting statement for what David was to expound on, that no one does good, not one seeks God.
It is not good to accuse someone of false teaching when what he said is consistent with the Word of God.

    • @faithonfireministries
      @faithonfireministries  8 месяцев назад +6

I think you misquoted Psalm 14: 1. It says, "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good." That is the starting point and the group to whom David is referring to as Psalm 14 continues. So, when Paul quotes this in Romans 3, the "no one" in the group is literally the same type of person to whom David was referring to, which are the people who don't believe in God and were persecuting God's people who were the true believers. The Bible, not me, defines who "no one" is referring to. I am just reporting what the Bible says. Ignoring the correct context is just typical of Calvinists who can't get a single Bible doctrine correct it seems because they are constantly reading the Bible and misinterpreting isolated texts solely for the purpose of making it fit their man-made ideology.
King David was speaking about those who don't believe in God and are fools, and he was not referring to every person alive like Calvinists claim. The context is even in the quote from Paul whom he is referring to in Romans 3 if you would just read on a little bit and not through the lens of Calvinism but just by the words on the page. Paul was not referring to born again believers. Christians, whether Jew or Gentile, have been made new in Christ, became a child of God, been redeemed and forgiven and are seen by God in the perfect righteousness of Christ. It seems this Christianity 101 basic concept is totally lost on Calvinists who think everyone is wicked and hates God with feet swift to shed blood and destruction and misery are in their ways. Nope, that simply is not true of real Christians.

    • @clinttaylor8730
      @clinttaylor8730 7 месяцев назад +1

None of us are born as Christians. However, in David's time they were born into God's chosen people. Even then, there were jews that failed and were unrighteous and they needed to atone for their sins during yam kapur. (Probably spelt that wrong)
Another way to look at it is that all of us, not born a jew, are not chosen by God. And by default, we are not brought up knowing God. So NO ONE can save themselves with their OWN righteousness; as Paul was explaining.
But let's take that to the side and think more of David. Was he righteous? He murdered a man to get that man's wife. Yet believed in God and was still righteous enough to save himself without Grace, but only on the grounds of knowing God?
We all fall short of the kingdom of God, and it's only those that put their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ to cover our sins and make us righteous in the sight of the Father.
To claim to be saved by only knowing there is a God, yet not being born again, letting your soul and mind and heart be made new.... that is a fool.

But the ultimate truth is that Calvinists always think that being saved requires only one condition and that is having the 'correct' doctrine. A moment's reflection should be enough for people to realise that salvation requires a right relationship with God and therefore has nothing to do with doctrine.

I watched his teaching about SIN- My conclusion is the problem is us believers we listen to prophets and pastors who condemn us, who don't preach the good news but bad news, they use the scripture where it talks about sin to rub it in that we are sinners and we're going to hell, BUT only Jesus Christ was without sin and there is no how we're going to be perfect like him. The Good News is that Jesus is there for us sinners who believe in him, He came to the world for us sinners and he is with us even now, His work was done on the cross. I am not justifying sin but we can't let sinners like us condemn us. We can't live in bondage of fear (fear of sinning) while Jesus said we're free indeed. We're not under the law but under grace. This narrow path is a journey, so God's mercies on us are renewed daily.

Or does not the potter have authority over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? And what if God, wanting to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath having been prepared for destruction, and in order that He might make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory-”

      Also.
When Paul spoke of the potter, he was referring to Jeremiah’s analogy in Jeremiah 18. The clay in Jeremiah is Israel and Israel was given a choice. God’s hardening is CONDITIONAL.
“The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying: “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the Lord. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel! The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, 👉if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it.👈 And the instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it, if it does evil in My sight so that it does not obey My voice, then I will relent concerning the good with which I said I would benefit it.”

All you need to say: Tell us what he said or let us hear what he said and then bring us to Gods Word and explain where John was wrong. The danger is, if you speak too much you will weary your listeners and clutter the truth on this matter; the little of you the better. You say a lot before you bring Gods Word in. This will be helpful, if you consider, what I’ve said.
The preachers in Nehemiah chapter 8 verse 8 shows us how this preaching should be done. “So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.”
Far to mush chatter from you, telling us what you are going to do. Prepare yourself before God and be his spokesperson.
We should, as it were, speak and walk timidly, it is true many of Gods teachers are bringing out untruths, these days, But because they are servants to Him; we should have restraint and speak with this verse in mind, “Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.” Romans 14 verse 4
Finally, we know the scriptures are profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

Calvinists are like political progressives... the ideology never stops.... There's always someone who just heard about it this afternoon for the first time. Calvinists got a 'leg up'' on RUclips years ago and we're running to catch up... gaining.. but still not 'there' yet. I'm convinced that continuing to put up new material, even on the old subject, keeps it 'relevant' in the search and Al Gore rythmnses 😎And 'your' presentation may be the one which helps someone see clearly and avoid getting caught up in the web of the reformed. Too many people have never heard the sermon "what's wrong with Calvinism" and they're totally unprepared for the well crafted out-of-context arguments of the Calvinist trying to confuse them about how they got saved in the first place.
I'm always posting with the silent 3rd party reader in mind... and I sometimes get messages from persons who were totally absent in the comments sections, thanking me for something I posted which was helpful in seeing through the 'fog' of Calvinism, even as much as 2yrs after I posted it.

TULIP is purpose built to remove man’s requirement to believe the Gospel.
T - removes our requirement to believe in Jesus (says we can’t)
U - removes our requirement to believe in Jesus (says we’re already saved)
L - removes our requirement to believe in Jesus (says Jesus atonement wasn’t for all sin just the chosen, back to point U)
I - removes our requirement to believe in Jesus (says we can’t believe God will make us believe)
P - removes our requirement to believe in Jesus. (Says God will make us preserve)
Any teaching that removes our requirement to believe in Christ, and takes the focus off Christ alone for salvation is a false teaching.
If anyone has to question if their family and friends are “elect” their hope for salvation is not in Christ alone, it’s in “election”.

No, all have sinned and fall short of the glory God, and there is none righteous no not one, is the state of man before we got saved by Christ or without Christ. But Romans 4 starts off by saying, WE, being believers, have been justified with Christ. Paul also says in 2 Cor 5:17-21 that we are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. So as believers, we are righteous now in Christ! So, do we miss it and sin from time to time, yes, and do we fall short yes, but we are righteous in Christ now, so Romans 4 is where we are. Romans 3 is the state of man without Christ, proving ALL need Christ both Jew and Gentiles alike, that's the context. not that all are still scumbags whether you are saved or not. No! When we are saved, we are righteous now, if not, what is the difference between the saved and unsaved? thanks.

That, and on calvinisim, everything is determined by God. Which means, God determined that person to do that for his own glory. Which brings me to my other point. James White says, that Gid determined evil to happen, and if God didn't do that, then it is purposeless evil (even though the purpose of evil is evil,) then he says, this is all done for God's glory. So, either way, calvinists talk out of both sides of their mouths. They say that people are robbing God of his glory, while at the sametime saying, everything that is done, God gets the glory for it. They don't make any sense.

I might as well add my two cents in just the comments by itself to say that for years as a former listener supporter of John, MacArthur, just the cessationism alone, got me away from him and his supporters. Now when I come across his supporters, it is no different than when you come across a Jehovah witness, a Scientologist, or a Mormon. I had a friend who was a Calvinist and I repeat HAD but it had nothing to do with Calvinism, but him ripping apart, making posts against our Prime Minister, which the Scriptures clearly opposes.
But anyways these followers of John MacArthur refuse to change. They refuse to basically even listen to you no matter what scriptures you show them because they’ll have “their scriptures.”
On and on back-and-forth, banging your head against the wall, there comes a time or even Paul kicked the dust off his feet and just kept walking to the next city.
It’s the same with these Calvinists that you can waste tons and tons of your life to no avail , when you could do something productive, like go fishing, go hiking, make a water colour painting, make a delicious meal for your wife and give her lots of kisses afterwards.
But to sit there for hours on RUclips or on Facebook arguing with these cult members of John MacArthur‘s elite group is a complete waste of time.

The Calvinists who teach that are sick and nothing but wolves.

I so love that every reliable teacher I have been led to is reading from the KJV. To be fair, I believed the lies about modern translations being from the "oldest and best" manuscripts for over 10 years. Until I begged the Lord to help me understand why there were so much confusion and debate. I read a different translation year after year, sometimes 4 at a time to get "the full meaning" of the text, searching blue letter for the Greek and Hebrew, watching endless debates. Then a sister in Christ gifted us a KJV Bible for our newborn son and I began to read...Every Word from the mouth of God matters. Make sure you are not reading an interpretation, with at least 10% of the words changed solely to be able to obtain a copyright and make money.

The Bible wasn't written in English. The KJV isn't as accurate of a representation of God's word as the original texts were in Hebrew, Greek, and Aramic. By comparing English translations to the original texts they were written in, we can know that the KJV isn't the most accurate translation of the Bible. It's certainly good enough and there's barely any functional difference between it and other more modern translations, but the newer English translations based on more recent manuscript evidence are objectively more accurate, albeit very slightly and in just a handful of verses.
I don't like the KJV personally. The translation itself is fine; the substance is there. However, in addition to the substance there's also the fluff of "thee"s and "thou"s. The KJV trains people to want fluff, and there's a huge issue with much of humanity that when they seek for God they seek for fluff instead of substance. They will go to a church based on how beautiful the building is instead of how accurate the teaching is inside. They will go to the place that makes them feel good instead of the place that properly uses God's word to inspire conviction of their sin.

I would also state, yes, no one is good, as in sinless. 1 Kings 8:46, 2 Chronicles 6:36, Ecclesiastes 7:20, and Romans 3:23 later on in the chapter, states the same. But, it does NOT say, (like a Calvinist would have to affirm) that we can't repent toward God, and believe toward Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21). God gives that option to everyone (1 Timothy 4:10, 2 Peter 3:9). (Calvinists state they believe in repentance, but they say one has to be passive repentance, basically, God has to repent you, not you repent toward God. Weird stuff.)

You are right, it is not based in Scripture but for John MacArthur it is based in Calvinism which is more important to him than what God says. The main point of Calvinism is to present intellectual philosophies that undermine the authority of Scripture through fancy commentaries written by unbelievers.
I watched MacArthur make that claim that a person who is saved can take the mark of the beast in the end times and still go to heaven. Understand, the reason for his logic is based upon an unbiblical view of Calvinism which teaches unconditional election. They think God chose from the beginning of time everyone who will be saved (Elect) and everyone who will go to hell, and nothing can change that, even if the Elect takes the mark of the beast. In the cult MacArthur belongs to even the people who swear allegiance to the Antichrist and the Beast and take the mark of the beast will be saved and go to heaven if they are part of the Elect chosen by God from the foundation of the world.

I totally agree about Calvinism a very horrible false doctrine.... 1 John gives us the definition of sin.. it is trespassing and breaking God's law.... And God's law is giving in detail Exodus Leviticus Numbers Deuteronomy... Yes we are all born with a sin nature that we inherited from Adam and Eve but we do not become sinners until we Actually break just one of his commandments and laws then we are sinners.... Esther was probably an 18-year-old and the greatest of reputation.. look at Joseph maybe 17 years old sold into slavery into Egypt he told Potiphar's wife I cannot do this sinful thing and sin against God.... These are two people who is a picture of the Christ that would come who would save their people... So even as kids they teach you your sinful.. that is horrible some of these kids will commit sin just because they're told their already sinners by the church... We know that you cannot pass sin down to the next generation.... Only God knows the very heart and the very actions of everyone and we know he breaks up young kids because many of them are wholesome unpolluted by the world..... We have no right to tell them and teach them their sinners.... Thanks for your Bible study I did enjoy it...

Why does limited atonement bother you? I don't really understand why it bothers anybody. Limited atonement has zero practical impact. Either the atonement is for everyone but only those who believe receive the benefits of it, or the atonement was only for those who believe. The end result is the same. If you switch limited atonement to universal atonement will even one single additional soul be saved? Nope. So why do people care so much about it? I don't believe in limited atonement but either way it seems to be a complete non-issue.
It's like the argument between whether what God does is good because God does it or whether it is because God only does good things. It's a distinction with a difference that doesn't matter.

Brian I am so glad I found your videos. I have a question for you, but first, I will preface it with it the fact I have been a student of R.C. Sproul, having listened to him daily for years on my commute to and from work. I knew he was Presbyterian I didn’t know he was a follower of Calvin and Luther so much, but as he sprinkled Luther’s life and teachings into his teachings, I soon discovered things I had never heard, being raised Baptist. He did sprinkle his personal views through out his teaching and I found it refreshing when he gave his testimony at college as he gave his heart to Christ in a chapel and the magnificent transformation. I had a problem with predestination and I just didn’t listen to those teachings, I also didn’t agree with his view of the rapture. He, however, had the power of the Holy Spirit leading his teaching to ‘agree to disagree’ on any Christian teaching and doctrine that did not infringe on the ‘actual gospel of Christ’ and to operate in the love of Christ. He was a man of character and the love of Christ. I did have so many issues with John MacAuther’s teaching in strict judgment of others….women…gifts of the Holy Spirit, etc. My question is…do all Calvinist and those who follow Luther believe that the power of the Holy Spirit to use Christians to do miracles has ceased? (to be used to pray for the sick and they be healed, being used to pray and cast our evil spirits, etc.). Thanks for any incite. God bless you

Not all Calvinists are Cessationists but most of them are, and Calvinism is where that teaching originated from. I am so glad you phrased it as you did, that Christians are "used" by God for those miracles. Unlike Cessationists you understand that it is God with the power working through (using) a willing servant. It is not the person who has the power of miracles but only God and nobody can perform miracles on demand as leading voices of Cessationism often challenge people to do. They say, if you have the gift of healing then go into a Children's hospital and heal all those children. They don't realize their blasphemy is that they are not challenging a person, they are challenging God. They might as well say, okay God, if you still heal people then prove it by healing all these people right now so I can witness it and know you are not a liar. Jesus faced the same critics demanding a sign. Nothing has changed.

The Calvinist mind is ok with god sending and condemned most people to hell, as long as it isn't them.
Therefore because the Reformed 5-Point Calvinist members refuses "WILL NOT" repent and be baptized they go through life thinking "THEY" are selected for salvation when they are "NOT!"
I see so many of them on their death beds in total fear that perhaps they were not selected at all. Which is the only truth they ever speak of!
True full blow Calvinists are not even saved let alone Christians.
      Christians are Christians!
      Calvinists are Calvinists!
      Mormons are Mormons!
Calvinists believe god created all things, and controls all things, predetermined all things,
and made all things exactly the way they are.... thus god also created evil!
Therefore since Calvinists believe god created evil, they are blaspheming against the holy spirit ... the only unforgivable sin!
Calvinists also believe the only people who will be saved have been predetermined by god.
Since Calvinists believe god predetermined who will be saved ... they have removed free will - the gift of god to humans, which removes Jesus from the equation.
Since god (according to Calvinists) has already determined who will be saved ... (and who will not be saved) ... those who will be saved do not need Christ and those who will not be saved cannot come to Christ, thus Calvinists are not Christians.
Yet if they are still breathing and have a heart beat, they can turn to Christ and God will forgive them.
A fool says in his heart that he is wise. A fool is seen for what he is by those with discernment.
Reader know this, I post these things for you to be warned of the heresy people like this spew out.
Their god is calvi-god and calvi-jesus which are a figment made up out of their deranged imagination.
Jesus loves them and wants to save them they simply need to turn away from man and turn to Jesus and ask for forgiveness and follow Him. Simple.
      Truth in love
Why would God send a prophet telling them to repent if it is God himself who decides whether they will repent or not? Calvinism is ridiculous.

Calvinism absolutely does not deny the whosoever in John 3:16. They would teach that who ever believes was previous to that belief made spiritually alive by the spirit of God. And if you look at the context of John 3:16 it does support a work of the holy spirit before belief. V6 says that which is born of flesh is flesh and that which is born of spirit is spirit v7 do not be amazed that I said to you, you must be born again. V8 the wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it but do not know where it comes from or where it is going, so is everyone who is born of the spirit. And later in v19 it says this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather then the light, for their deeds were evil.
