Hey, Josh... WOW; some really amazing scenery in this vlog!! As for changing "Karen" back to metric; I don't blame you... While I grew up in an "imperial world," for a lot of my life, here, in Ireland, we changed over to metric, about 25-30 years ago, so, I'm used to metric...more-or-less, at this stage!! Like you say; it's easier to work out time/distance eg, 100km = 1hr... Really looking forward to seeing more of that beautiful scenery through the Rocky Mountains tomorrow, or whenever...!!! 👍🙂🇮🇪❤️🇨🇦
Fun fact Josh, when you leave Tsawwassen ferry terminal you go into US waters for about a kilometer before you’re back in Canada!

Golden is indeed a great place to live, I lived there from 1981 until 2012. Now in Chilliwack. Problem is that it's difficult to live in Golden as we age, as most medical specialists are 3-4 hours away. It's a young persons town, so much outdoor activities, Mountain biking, rafting skiing, climbing ! Love all you videos !

Yes Josh it was always called the Little Snake Pit. That's where I learned how to Drive from the Old Timers. The Fraser Canyon is called the Snake Pit
I used to get the plastic front center caps but can't find them anymore. They never rusted and didn't dent.

Take a look at Calgary bypass around the south side. Hwy 901 to 22x to 201. Thinking you'd be happy to save roughly 30 mins vs going all the way up and around

My father drove that pass over and back 5 nights a week for 20 years. Running mostly from Kelowna, switch in Golden and back to Kelowna. A 74 Kenworth with a screaming 318. Those were tough, noisy miles.

Yeah, this is scary thing about truck and you can’t have it both ways the flatlands you get good mileage in in the mountains you get terrible fuel mileage but no when you get old going there you go
Beautiful walk! While you've encouraged me to walk more, I forgot to say thank you for the Google Fit App recommendation. I just wish the app showed like a line to where I walked. The last app I had showed that, but it showed me walking like in zigzags and looked like I was taking shortcuts through people's backyards. It was comical to see, but I just wanted it more accurate. Lol
It does do that. Go into settings in the app and allow it to continue tracking in the background even when your screen is off and it'll keep track of your walk better

I've been there along time ago, It's really nice., For BC Ferries, you going out of Tswassen, really long ferry pier, then going past small islands.

Been to Victoria twice via Princess Cruises. The Provincial Parliament is beautiful at night.
VICTORIA! Back in August, our Alaska cruise ship docked in Victoria before returning to Seattle. Stop was very short, so we were unable to get off the boat and explore, unfortunately.

Yeah, you can’t to complain about fuel mileage like that. Specially, with a W 900 L that’s really good fuel mileage but yeah 66 1/2 I take that that’s nothing to sneeze at.
