He is one of the most interesting artists I have seen in my long life, been hooked on him since Singer 2018, and rhere is a lot of material from before and after that. So versatile, so charismatic, such a performer, has an incredible interaction with his fan in live sessions, a very complex an interesting personality. He is a composer, musician, singer and could be atalented actor if he tried, I am sure. It is never dull with Hua Hua. 😝He has his own ”Marsconcerts” ( The planet Mars, long story behind) every year, welcoming his audience ”home” to Mars. Pandemic stopped all concerts last year, But this year he rented a big amusementpark in Haikou end of november and beginning of december to give concerts 6 days . He wants his audience to have fun, eat, drink and meet, like you are ”home”..so he is very brave and thinking out of the box. He is superstar in China, worth to be more known in the rest of the world. If you want to see something in another style from the same show( Singer 2018) I suggest Child and Flammable and explosive, two different genres. Hello dear Cedric yes Hua Hua is extraordinary, for the personality and his voice. That "thin voice" you are referring to is when he is using the nasal voice which is an ancient technique, used by famous Chinese theater singers of the past. You have to look at his "7 Personalities" which is exotic and wonderful for us in the West, where he mixes hardrock with mantras from Buddhist monks, the result is great. Rapping in Chinese should be easy as it is the language with the shortest syllables ha ha!. This boy is from Dimash's litter, he was among the audience that watched him sing DQ at his contest in China. I am a Chinese and let me tell you. Hua's rap is 🔥🔥🔥. Not one Chinese rapper impressed me like Hua does. His rock rap is just so different from others. I don't know how he's able to rap so fast, sounded so good and so clear all at the same time. Just by reading the Chinese lyrics, I can't even able keep up with him. Absolutely incredible! He's so talented!

Oh my, you are going to love this ! HuaHua has so many amazing songs ! Is this from the Chinese show, The Singer ? Something to watch for with his performances, he gets so deeply immersed in the song, when he is done, you can literally see him come out of it! Watch his face closely. It is like all of a sudden he is brought back to reality. You should do Child and Ordinary Path, both from the same show ! You will get a lot of people recommending Fake Monk, but please wait until you do 5 or 6 of his songs and get a good understanding of him and his varied styles. It is a very strange song, and if you are not familiar enough, it has turned people off. I am so excited for this !
Fake Monk actually turned me into a Martian. I love that performance but I agree that it is a special one. It is best to watch the prestage interview first to get a better understanding of it. But it is so amazing... I never get bored of it. I have watched it countless times. 🥰

Really something to watch! Performed it at his 2016 concert. But, yes, Guns and Roses would be cool! By the way the contrast in color and style were meant to show the hardness and softness of the nun chucks.

You should defo check out Hua ChengYu's first appearance on TV. He attended a singing contest program back around 2013 called "Super Boy" (or Happy Boy) and his very first performance was his solo creation w no lyrics !!

Hua Chenyu is Huge in China! He is innovative, super talented at composing and adapting songs and rearranging songs from others and puts his unique spin on things! He is one of few performers in China who can sell out the Birds Nest stadium which can hold 90K people in under 5 minutes...in this song, he sings rock, rap, and a hint of classical Chinese opera...the man treats his vocals as an instrument in his compositions! He is amazing! A good intro is to flow his Singer episodes from 2018. 2020, and 2021. He was on there 3 seasons ... and in 2nd in 2018, and came in 1st place in the later 2 seasons....
You put it right. That's why I value this artist. I like his creativity, passions and energies. I like his maturity and his use of his own musical colors. Apart from having great talent for a singer, he is also a gifted composer. :) It is worth checking out more of his songs, especially his authorship.

He also has a trilogy of songs that go through his journey of depression. The first is I Really Want to Love this World, the second is Madhouse, and the third is Conversation With the Martian Children. That last one is my favorite. His fans are called Martians and to write the song, he wrote down his own fears and insecurities and invited his fans to respond to them. So the song is literally a conversation between Chenyu and his fans, the Martians, about mental health. When he performs it live, the audience sings certain parts to him and it's very powerful. May be wrong, but I think there is something called classical Chinese Hand Dance that Hua incorporated into this performance, weaving it in with his classical, rap and rock/roll motifs. What a unique and breathtaking mixture. I love Hua. He's not just a singer. The stage is his canvas and he uses music to literally paint the textures of whatever story he wishes to tell. Try his Fake Monk, a story of a young man's cyclic journey through his own madness (and do not even attempt this song without subtitles!) Re: the subtitles... it is a slow and haunting song, and the lyrics are easily absorbed, enhancing the experience of the song expentially.

I've never heard this song (I probably should've checked out other performers when I was watching all Dimash's Singer performances, but I never did ... oops) but this guy pours so much passion and emotion into each note that it's really captivating to listen to. GOOD LORD THAT RAP CAME OUT OF NOWHERE!!!! I was not prepared for that, but it was spectacular. You know you're listening to a good singer when they are singing in a genre you don't like at all but the thought of stopping the song never even occurs to you.

The hand movements and finger placement and the style of singing is a play on traditional Chinese Opera - there are many forms and styles of classical Chinese Opera. Your environment is enacting the message of the song - behind you to the right of you in an old tree full of wisdom and full of twists and turns then there is the wind ancient in its own right also full of wisdom and fluid, the in-between is in the man made structures showing rigid and softness. Hua Hua certainly made this song is own. You will find he his known for being a most fearless performer in emotion, composition and vocals. He is entirely unique and different from anyone else. Known as the 'Alien' because he always felt himself the outsider from the rest of society. His fandom are called 'Martians' and our signature color is RED.

I'm so happy you finally checked out Hua Chen Yu! The original song was sung by Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou back in the early 2000s, but Hua Hua took it to the next level with his mixing of rock, rap and Chinese Operatic style. 😁👍

Hello dear Cedric yes Hua Hua is extraordinary, for the personality and his voice. That "thin voice" you are referring to is when he is using the nasal voice which is an ancient technique, used by famous Chinese theater singers of the past. You have to look at his "7 Personalities" which is exotic and wonderful for us in the West, where he mixes hardrock with mantras from Buddhist monks, the result is great. Rapping in Chinese should be easy as it is the language with the shortest syllables ha ha!. This boy is from Dimash's litter, he was among the audience that watched him sing DQ at his contest in China. I am a Chinese and let me tell you. Hua's rap is 🔥🔥🔥. Not one Chinese rapper impressed me like Hua does. His rock rap is just so different from others. I don't know how he's able to rap so fast, sounded so good and so clear all at the same time. Just by reading the Chinese lyrics, I can't even able keep up with him. Absolutely incredible! He's so talented!

Oh my, you are going to love this ! HuaHua has so many amazing songs ! Is this from the Chinese show, The Singer ? Something to watch for with his performances, he gets so deeply immersed in the song, when he is done, you can literally see him come out of it! Watch his face closely. It is like all of a sudden he is brought back to reality. You should do Child and Ordinary Path, both from the same show ! You will get a lot of people recommending Fake Monk, but please wait until you do 5 or 6 of his songs and get a good understanding of him and his varied styles. It is a very strange song, and if you are not familiar enough, it has turned people off. I am so excited for this !
Fake Monk actually turned me into a Martian. I love that performance but I agree that it is a special one. It is best to watch the prestage interview first to get a better understanding of it. But it is so amazing... I never get bored of it. I have watched it countless times. 🥰
I love Fake Monk, that and Nunchuks were the first things I watched of him about 2-3 years ago and I then binged whatever I could find from him! It's a great performance.
I'm with you, I'm kind of fed up of always the same song recommendations. I wish the requests were broadened so as to match HuaHua's huge catalog of songs, and specially his 4th album should be more recommended, after all HuaHua hasn't gone fishing after recomposing Fake Monk and Nunchucks.

He put together and performed a mashup of 16 songs in 17 minutes that included Lady Gaga-paparazzi, Chandelier, The Kill, Love the way it hurts, Somebody I used to know,See you again, as well as a bunch of Chinese sons. Really something to watch! Performed it at his 2016 concert. But, yes, Guns and Roses would be cool! By the way the contrast in color and style were meant to show the hardness and softness of the nun chucks.

You should defo check out Hua ChengYu's first appearance on TV. He attended a singing contest program back around 2013 called "Super Boy" (or Happy Boy) and his very first performance was his solo creation w no lyrics !!
I feel like you would find his performance of Bullfighting really interesting. He assist with the stage design as well so it's really cool that you were really able to pick up on so many things. I hope you continue reacting to him, he is my favorite artist.
Hua Chenyu is Huge in China! He is innovative, super talented at composing and adapting songs and rearranging songs from others and puts his unique spin on things!
He is one of few performers in China who can sell out the Birds Nest stadium which can hold 90K people in under 5 minutes...in this song, he sings rock, rap, and a hint of classical Chinese opera...the man treats his vocals as an instrument in his compositions!
He is amazing! A good intro is to flow his Singer episodes from 2018. 2020, and 2021. He was on there 3 seasons ... and in 2nd in 2018, and came in 1st place in the later 2 seasons....

He's really fun and has so many songs of so many varieties - kinda like Dimash. You'll enjoy Hua if you do more reactions. Love Hua Chenyu so I was excited to see that you reacted to him. My favorites are "Nunchucks" and "Fake Monk" which is totally different than this one and is a must see, especially with English subtitles. He's an amazing performer. I mainly watch Dimash and Hua Chenyu because there's always something surprising about their performance. Wish I lived closer to Pullman WA to see you in the play.
Thanks for reacting to Hua Hua Cedric! I think you will really enjoy his other performances on the singer as well as some of his original songs like Bullfighting. He also has a trilogy of songs that go through his journey of depression. The first is I Really Want to Love this World, the second is Madhouse, and the third is Conversation With the Martian Children. That last one is my favorite. His fans are called Martians and to write the song, he wrote down his own fears and insecurities and invited his fans to respond to them. So the song is literally a conversation between Chenyu and his fans, the Martians, about mental health. When he performs it live, the audience sings certain parts to him and it's very powerful. I hope you check it out.

May be wrong, but I think there is something called classical Chinese Hand Dance that Hua incorporated into this performance, weaving it in with his classical, rap and rock/roll motifs. What a unique and breathtaking mixture. I love Hua. He's not just a singer. The stage is his canvas and he uses music to literally paint the textures of whatever story he wishes to tell. Try his Fake Monk, a story of a young man's cyclic journey through his own madness (and do not even attempt this song without subtitles!) Re: the subtitles... it is a slow and haunting song, and the lyrics are easily absorbed, enhancing the experience of the song expentially.
I hope you enjoy the journey into Hua Hua. I hope you accept these suggestions into the layers of who and what Hua Chenyu is. Many begin their journey with "Nunchucks"
and then they move on to "Fake Monk" for something completely different.

I've never heard this song (I probably should've checked out other performers when I was watching all Dimash's Singer performances, but I never did ... oops) but this guy pours so much passion and emotion into each note that it's really captivating to listen to. GOOD LORD THAT RAP CAME OUT OF NOWHERE!!!! I was not prepared for that, but it was spectacular. You know you're listening to a good singer when they are singing in a genre you don't like at all but the thought of stopping the song never even occurs to you.
FYI, he didn't compete against Dimash, he was in the year after him. Both are sooo amazing!!
Hehe Dimash was in The Singer 2017. And Hua Chenyu was in The Singer 2018 and The Singer 2020. Lots of fans hate Rap / Hip-Hop, but everyone loves Rap Hua Hua. :D - foregin fans, I don't know how the fans from China. ;)

Your environment is enacting the message of the song - behind you to the right of you in an old tree full of wisdom and full of twists and turns then there is the wind ancient in its own right also full of wisdom and fluid, the in-between is in the man made structures showing rigid and softness.
