      There's a long delay. You should sit and just watch c span take calls. Americans are a colorful opinionated people. C span had a comments section years before Facebook with this hotline.
      The next guy probably was like.
      Let's talk about Obama's birth certificate.
      And the anchor said go on.
      And he tries to say the n word.
      But that damn 3 second delay stops him and he gets blocked. Then some old lady starts normal and begins to ramble into loony town.
      It's like an audible version of the comments. It's god damn hilarious

    This was really wholesome. ❤Debating and politics doesn’t have to be all hate and misplaced passion as we can learn from their mom. I loved that she was worried about real issues such as health instead of ideology to determine her political stance.

      No that's literally how insurance works, generally. Whatever insurance plan you buy makes you pay money every month regardless of your personal health status because they use all the money they collect to pay for anyone on the plan who is sick + pay people. This is how every insurance plan works. It's nothing new or groundbreaking.

    By the time the call finishes, you can see the love her boys have for her in their eyes. Panic at first, but their faces become so tender towards her by the 2 minute mark. Very sweet.

    This moment is truly amazing. Not only does it show genuine human connection but also political opinion from someone who observes the problems of those around them to decide where they feel their vote can positively benefit people the most. Hearing the feedback and support from the mother is really nice and I'm sure that the sons were appreciative of it.

      @@blumie006 they do have jobs, but medical bills are too fricking insane, including hospital bills. 75$ for a 100mg ibuprofen during a hospital stay. If you can say that the over inflation of medical costs to that degree is justified, I hope you end up in a position to fully feel the wrath of being without insurance in a life or death situation on a minimum wage 9-5 job with no benefits.

      @@KindCountsDeb3773 Indeed. It's hard to find people who are open minded enough to "split the ticket" now'a'days. One side wont vote for the other no matter what good the politician is going to do, because everyone on that side are "evil" and "nothing will change that". Even the people who vote for someone of their party will call them a "wolf in sheep's clothing" just because a couple ideals do not match theirs, even though 90% of the stuff that the person they voted for does is favorable for the people. Political tribalism, radicalism, and hate is horrifyingly common these days and it scares me more as time goes on. Respect to this woman for being the small percentage of voters that will vote for the good of the people, and not on personal beliefs nor for religious reason.

    Anyone else still gets embarrassed when your momma goes looking for you at your job? My bosses momma came by one day (out of the blue) EVERYONE came by and was talking to her about her little boy. We called him, he was upset because we interrupted a meeting, then I told him his momma was here and everyone was talking to her. He said Who's everyone? I said with laughter. Everyone you can think of that works here. He said I'll be right there. Lmfao. He came quick. Like passing the lights and stop signs quick. He gets there and his boss is there, the bosses boss is there, Everyone. He starts asking people to leave and then tells his mom "See, this is why you need to call me before you come, I'm never going to hear the end of this". This man was 55 and his mother was 78. Lmfao. He looked like he had a high school flashback.

      @Anne Turner They were all in HIS office until the big shots came in. Then we all got nervous and scattered, that's when I called him. We never see the big cheese but when he came down, all the other cheeses came with him. It was hilarious to see the office assistant face because she couldn't ask anyone to leave, and my bosses voice when I called him.
      "What do you mean, ALL the higher ups are there? Are you talking about my bosses boss?" Me: "Your bosses boss and everyone who comes in to evaluate your termination, those people"
