For me, this kit is a good starting point for a piece of terrain. I think attaching it to a base, adding flooring and rubble, and possibly some additional beams and roof tiles help complete the model. I've built a few and leftover bits from other kits and adding some scratch-built details can greatly improve the final result.
Lovely work as usual. I can never justify the time to do scenary when I have so many little guys to do. But I reckon I am missing out on just doing it for the joy of creating some beautiful show pieces
Ah, so nice to see the now venerable Warlord Ruined Farmhouse. Probably the best looking one I've ever seen. I'm always amazed that thing is still around, hehe. Over the years I think I have accumulated a dozen or more of those things - this video may just inspire me to go digging around for some. Cheers!
Thank you. It’s a little rough, I’d have preferred to get my airbrush on it, but it will definitely do the job. It’s a great little kit, not surprising it’s lasted so long, perfect for what it does.
Looks great matey, new edition has arrived, might have picked up one of these off Ebay as a start to some themed terrain. Just need to pick a force now.!
@MiniatureRealms DAK looks great, it's just the scenery of European theatre looks better from a game wise point of view. And to think, I wasn't going to mention the Matilda.👀🤣
Thanks for another helpful tutorial with excellent results👍 Have you done a tutorial on painting red brick surfaces that are sometimes seen on buildings and walls where the rendering has broken off? I can’t see one on your playlist, but would really appreciate your advice on the subject. Cheers.
I'd be really interested to see how you would have tackled this with an airbrush. Would you have done the dark gray/light gray colours in a zenithal style so as to leave the deepest recesses black?
Yes absolutely, really making use of the angles and building up layers before adding oils and weathering. It’s a much longer video, but similar techniques to what I used in the Warhammer Castle video on my channel.
That looks like a nice kit, simple kit or not I do think even a one page instructions sheet isn’t a bad idea but as you say you can just put it together based on box artwork and what seems to work. Scale wise do you think it would be compatible with GW products? Looks a little bit of a challenge to source the soil works stuff here but I’ll definitely keep an eye out for it, it does look really good
I think I could benefit from a one page instruction sheet for sure. Scale wise it’s close enough, so could definitely work on a fantasy table. Can you get hold of AK oil paints and thinner there? I can talk you through how to mix your own.

Oh yes it’s extremely versatile

I find doing a terrain piece here or there helps break up the army painting a bit, always I nice palette cleanser between projects.
@@MiniatureRealms "palette cleanser between projects" wow and just like that you have just sold me the idea...

Cool. Weathering powder is so good
I love using it 🙂
The way I read the thumbnail was your Farmhouse tutorial was ruined 😂😂, it wasn’t though and it looks great 👍🏻
😂 Thank you 😊
Fabulous and very useful, Paul
Thank you Paul 🙂
Great vid, with some excellent techniques. Will definitely give that a go and thanks for not using an airbrush for this one 👍😃
Thank you 😊

Oooh what are you tempted by?
@@MiniatureRealms I have some US Airborne I could play with.
But fancy Armoured Panzergrenadiers. Can't decide on Europe or DAK.
@MrBlackear DAK always look amazing, but I can’t say that having not finished my 8th Army and looking at late war Brits 😆

I’m not sure I have covered that yet, I’ll keep that in mind for next time I paint some brick.

@MiniatureRealms Awesome, thank you for the reply, I'll check out the other video 👌🏼

I want to see the airbrush version.
Maybe one day
Sir, I have but one simple question: when do you sleep? Your video output is crazy. :)
😂 Luckily I’m a night owl, I probably spend 12-18hrs a week working on videos. I enjoy it though, wish I had more time.
Great tutorial, very informative. I noticed you didn't use an airbrush for people on welfare 😉🤣🤣
😂 Thank you
these look very profi indeed
