Sliding the umbrella down your jacket is the most genius thing in this video! But pointing out that you need the right rig for the situation, and sometimes that's no rig, is perfect.
My first Pocket 4K was getting bulky, and I decided my second one would be a minimalist build. I use my P4Ks on a tripod, and it turns out there are certain things that end up being 'essential' for my gigs. I added an external battery for long shoots where I may not be able to plug in, an HDMI clamp for when I'm doing a multi-cam live shoot, an external hard drive because I'm too cheap to buy the C-Fast card that would have the right capacity, and a cage to hold it all. After all that I added a handle just because it felt odd picking the camera up with one hand by the body.
I totally feel you man. I’ve got the same approach. Every rig has it’s purpose! I generally like a minimalist rig, but as I said in the 3rd rig, I need the bigger one sometimes! Thanks for leaving your comment man. Appreciate it
@@SjoerdWess Thinks the same, but I was not able to find the product link, neither the battery you show in the video. I think they are not listed in the description, nor in your kit page...

@@SjoerdWess I've shot most of my content hand-held using the BMPCC4K, and each time the footage gets smoother and smoother. Great video, love your perspective. Can you give me your thoughts on the quick release half cage? Looks good but hoping for some insights from someone using it. Cheers!
Mate! Thanks a lot. I love that cage. For 1, I really like the grip the pocket has, so I didn’t feel the need for a full cage. And the quick release is just very easy if you want to put it on a glidecam/gimbal or something. Its a nice addition!
@@SjoerdWess thank you. I've ordered it so hopefully it will fit. Looking at your video I see a decent enough gap at the top so hopefully thats enough clearance.
