The drumming of Earl Hudson is possibly the best punk rock (and reggae to a degree) has ever seen. The Bad Brains has always been one of my favorite bands since the mid 80’s. Fortunately, I was able to see some great shows before HR sadly dealt with mental illness and even brain surgery. Still listen to Bad Brains plenty. Great job! Earl would be proud!
Hell yes! Earl would be proud!
This is badass, and youtube needs more hardcore punk covers!
Very true!
insane single kick work. great job
Watch the mackie cam when he does we gotta know, he uses single , I've just progressed to double with that song , buzzed of of it for days then saw mackie cam, knocks the stuffin out of you.
Well done. Earl isn’t easy to play. He’s a high hat, power guy. Most drummers don’t have the stamina to play that shit. They rest on the ride. Earl doubled up on the high hat!
Please keep on making the world a better place . As you are in this vid .
Great drummer ! Keep posting videos
^^
Big hug from Brasil
Badass Cover man you're an awesome drummer.
I was screaming Riiiiiiiiight Brigaaaaade at the end! Well done!

Man just watching your kick patten during the verses is making my hip cramp hahaha
Can you do some Bad Brains or HR reggae drum covers? I’d love to see that. Earl Hudson plays some good reggae grooves.
Beans approved!
Wish i was there to lay down the guitar :p
Nailed it
good toon, nice beats!
Fucking sick! I try playing this on drums but sounds nowhere near the original this is spot on!
You nailed it
Good job!

Incredible job Adam! I'm thinking to get some drums, which drums are in this video?
Thank you gta 4 for introducing me this song
do discharge never again:)
@Orsiloco bruh
Were you doubling the kick beats in the verses¿?
This is my interpretation
@@adamxrobson you are awesome man, I've been drummin lil over 15 yrs & you got solid precision man-
That was single pedal, fuckin brilliant, been playing 30 years on and off and I can't do that with one pedal.
@@martinmcfred6758 is it a Camco/tama?
@@kookadams85 can't see, I use Pearl export.
Hey what ride cymbal and hihats are u using?
21" A sweet ride & 14" A New beats
@@adamxrobson that's what I thought that's what I use as well thanks for the response
Earl Hudson great hardcore drummer but has far more to his repertoire than just one style.
What do you mean by that?
@@adamxrobson I mean he could switch into jazz and reggae with ease. How many hardcore drummers were doing that in 1982? He had some great grooves and quite simply not enough Earl Hudson on YT. Good to see someone taking on his early stuff which is his most demanding when it comes to stamina.
I totally understand this is old and my opinion shouldn't matter but I feel like you approached these BB songs in a 90s punk style which is awesome if your into that. But I feel like you put too much emphasis on the speed rather than the power. you look bored during the slower parts (which is what they were legendary for + being a tight disciplined group) and try to make up for it with unnecessary fast drum fills, BB were like the Zeppelin or sabbath of punk, they made the slower parts heavy and powerful, much more powerful than thier speed which is why hardcore praises them so much.
You said it yourself I approached it with my own style
