  • Replacing injectors on my 5.3 LS swap s10.
    Motor is out of a 2005 Silverado.
    Couldn't find good website for injectors besides your local parts store. From the reviews I have seen on Amazon I wouldn't buy none from there. I recommend OE PARTS.

    Another tip is to use compressed air to clean everything before anything comes apart. Silicone spray or dialectic grease also takes the place of the vaseline

    Why is your harness blue? And did you do any performance upgrades on the truck?

    • @howididitgarage.
      @howididitgarage.  10 месяцев назад

      I put that wire lume on there when I reworked the harness for the ls swap. And no, I left everything stock so I could use it as a daily driver and keep stock tune on stock ecu.

    Is your fuel injectors for regular gas and not flex fuel? I'm gussing that is the case. My fuel injectors on a 2002 Suburban 5.3l engine were longer and port was different.

    I was lucky enough to find a brand new intake that already had the rail system on it that had all the injectors already.. would it be easier to unbolt the rail system and take the old one off my truck and then put this one in mind because the injectors are already in the rail system and then just plug up the fuel line to it? I can do some ranching, but I'm not a big motor guy.. just asking

    • @howididitgarage.
      @howididitgarage.  Год назад

      You should be able to. There is the clips that hold the injectors to the rail. It might be a pain to line all the injectors with the hole, but should work.

    • @bamadondon0495
      @bamadondon0495 Год назад

      @@howididitgarage. I've been looking at that and I'm thinking about just dropping each injector out of this other intake that I just got and putting them in one at a time and labeling each one of my lines 1-4/5-8 and putting them back in their the way that you did urs.

    • @howididitgarage.
      @howididitgarage.  Год назад

    Is jerking while accelerating a sign of bad injectors?

    • @howididitgarage.
      @howididitgarage.  Год назад +4

      It just depends. Could be a lot of different things. Depends on what kind of jerking, when it does it, when it don't do it and If there is codes.
