I'm rebuilding this engine (rings and valves) due to the issue with burning oil because of the rings. Now that I have it back together I noticed the timing chain gets slack between the two phasers each revolution. It makes a kind of clunking sound as the tensioner goes in and out. Is this normal? I don't have oil in it (I do have assembly lube of course) so I'm wondering if the pneumatic action in the tensioner is not in play and causing this temporarily now? Is your fuel injectors for regular gas and not flex fuel? I'm gussing that is the case. My fuel injectors on a 2002 Suburban 5.3l engine were longer and port was different.

That works, good old fashion TROUBLESHOOTING!! A lost art. Only bought the part that was needed. I like it!!

That's nuts dismantling everything. It took about 10 minutes to Dremel/cut a 3-sided hole over the top of the pump and fold it to the side. After installing new pump, the flap folded back over nicely. I used a bead of silicone over cuts and duct tape but just tape would have been fine.

Came to the vid looking for 1 tip but stayed for the whole thing and i gotta say, this is a very good informative video, don’t stop doing what you do 🫡

It would also help to clean the inside of the knuckle and bearing mating surface. Not trying to be picky but If you do a job then do it correctly. Don't make a video to show someone a proper method of rust prevention when you don't clean off the existing rust. Sorry just pointing this out. I don't see a torque wrench. You do know that the torque on the axle nut sets the bearing end play to keep It from premature failure.

Yeah it could be an I am gonna be pissed with all that sliver glue 😂😂 I did that once not on the splines but on the nut LOL but I also put a Lil on my lug nuts an one seized an no tool would take it off so I spend all day an 3 boxes of carbide concrete bits later I got it off I use hi temp copper anti seize now an if you don't have that mix some hi temp grease up into the sliver anti seize an it will be about the same an keep it from drying out an F-ing it all up 😂😂❤❤❤
