Always so so impressed with everything you’re doing all on your own. You’re going to have one huge accomplishment to look back on for your whole family the kids will feel so awesome for their contribution too. It’s looking great!
Great progress being made. Yes, you are right that it is very important to take time and be with family. Children grow so fast and soon enough they are gone on their own adventures. So nice that you had time with your grandma as well ❤ - Krista -
Good morning Thi ,Gina and little ones . This your making great progress I'm cleaning and clearing the land I bet you the kids are loving trampoline. And be safe. And I hope your trip was fun and exciting and had a good time because you know what when it boils down to it family is family and you got to make time to spend with the family especially when you're living off grid and you're on top of each other trying to get things done. So it's nice to step back and have quality family time.
Look around when you get to the gravel pit and remember the type of land it is as I am sure you have a spot similar. Just a thought. keep up the good work.
You passed the town I grew up in Temagami noticed the lake as you drove passed. Love what you guys are doing best of luck on your homestead build stay safe and take care.
hi there gina & thi. something i have notice is that around the area you have your trailer then there is small trees. i dont know if you have small trees every were but you could infact push the small trees down whit the tractor and then push away the trees whit roots and all. basically use the tractor like a bulldozer, first you push it a little above the root to see if you can push it then push it so it leans away from the tractor then lower the scope so you can get a new grip and push the tree some more. in short raise the scope then go slowly whit the scope towards the tree then back up then go slowly towards the tree again then lower the scope whit the tree lean and go slowly to the tree again and contiune like that untill you uncover the root then push the root system away and you have fell a tree whit the tractor. if the root system is not to large then you could push the root system out from the ground whit the scope also i think. i hope you understand my bad explanation :) have a great day!
Thank you for the tip. I have fallen a few small trees (around 6" diameter) by pushing it with the tractor. I will definitely try your suggestion and see if I can do it to some bigger trees. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment. We wish you all the best.
How much does a machinery heavy equipment Grapple cost? We see that you have a Canadian and an American Amazon Storefront. But do you have an Amazon Registry Wishlist, so that we viewers can help you with the homestead… …by us buying the stuff that you pick on the list?
A grapple for a machine like mine is probably around 3K Canadian.... Thank you for the suggestion. We'll look into setting up an amazon wishlist. All the best friend!
I would love to have one... what guy doesn't want more equipment? lol.... But I'm also concerned that it would get damaged due to the abundance of rocks everywhere in our property.
Good stuff and the kids will be occupied for hours. If you want to make it a bit safer for the young ones you can dig the ground deeper so the bouncy part is closer to the ground so if there’s an accident they have less of a distance to fall. Looks like you would be able to do that and accommodate drainage below. Take care!
Yes, we live in an unorganized township. We have 2 videos on our channel talking more about rules and regulations when it comes to unorganized land that you can check out!
