If I were you, I would build a garage with upstairs apartment by the road. Alot simpler. Nice place to store your water, batteries, laundry, wood stove and tools. Higher point than tree line to mount your solar for that low winter sun. More efficient living in winter than trailer. Side carports to store trailer, tractor and stove wood. And you can always use it as guest or kid house in the future. But more importantly something you can complete comfortability by winter.
A terrific video.We retired to Manitoulin Island 4 years ago.We bought 50 acres with a house to renovate which we have done.We have dogs and we laughed when you talked about your dogs staring and in serving you Ours do the same.They like to stop and eat grass next thing there are bugs all over us lol Thank you for not leaving your dogs outside.They would be heartbroken and as you said not safe.We love following you and your beautiful family on your incredible journey.

I wonder if it might be better to rent a Cat 980 loader of something along that size and rip through the stumps and bush to clear your building site...expansive but our summers are short.... regardless you guys provide not just entertainment and real life situations, but also encouragement and hope for many who wish to step out of the box to live life to the fullest.

Not sure if they are alike but we have a Siberian (husky). Siberians do not like being left outside. They thrive when they are part of the family dynamic. Ignore nay sayers do what is right for you and yours.! Great channel!

We actually mention this in the video... but maybe you missed it? Our kids are also going to soccer camp this year for 2 months and are having a blast! We are currently on a road trip, so this summer has been one for the books... our kids have been enjoying not only their summer but their life in general :)

We just moved off grid in Wyoming with four kids in our camper! I LOVE your channel so much. Real life!

If you are losing your way walking in the woods, you could tie bright ribbon or rip down a neon tshirt to tie around a few trees on your path.
The funny thing is that we have done this in some points in our property LOL we need to add some more! Thanks for the tip... appreciate it!
