  • Can you believe it! Nigerian tribalism in Canada! Woman makes tribal threats. Bringing home baggage to new country. Tribalism should not be tolerated. This is an example of when you can take a person from the jungle but cannot take the jungle from the person. Why bring baggage from your home country to a new country. I am still in shock! Africa needs change, development and progress not hate and tribalism. This woman is not an example of and does not represent Nigerians in Canada or Nigerians anywhere. A person should only be judged by the content of their Character. Not where they come from or the color of their skin ( Martin Luther - I have a dream). Africans in Africa and in Diaspora, Let us stop this madness.

I remember someone asking me why i choose being a 2nd class citizen in another mans country, when i can be a 1st class in mine. I laughed out so loud! In my country, i have faced being treated as low as a 4th class citizen because of tribalism.
    It is really sad 😔!

I have seen tribalism here in the UK, too. In churches, at parties, online, etc. Tbh, unity is possible if our leaders back home make an effort to include all. Followed by communities and churches.Ty 🙏🏼

Two wrongs really don't make a right but you did not get the whole story!!! This woman was RESPONDING to tthreats made against her ethnic group by a YORUBA & BINI men living in Austria!!! Those threats have been ongoing against Igbos for a long time both at home and abroad.
As is typical of Nigeria, those comments that triggered her were cut off to PRESENT her response!!!
If you followed the political system in Nigeria, you would know that this has been ongoing!!
Even a RESPECTED TRADITIONAL RULER & CURRENT PRESIDENT'S WIFE are guilty saying bigotry things against her ethnic group...the Igbos.
Please don't be like Nigerian government, do some research before jumping on a topic!!
Again, I do not support her but it's only fair to publish CAUSE & EFFECT!!!
Do not talk of effect only.

IMO, I don't condone what the lady said, but what she said reveals very clearly that Nigeria is NOT a country of ppl with mutual love. 1stly, there is no love amongst all the 261+ ethnic groups in Nigeria. Every group has a derogatory name for other groups. Most ethnic groups are marginalised/abused/discriminated against in so many ways. Most Nigerians CANNOT feel safe outside of their state of origin. Igbos have been silently 'banned' from ever producing a President of the country & yet ppl expect them to seriously be happy to be called Nigerians? Let's get real pls. Nigeria exists on paper & not in reality.

How does being a president of Nigeria makes the Igbo better when the governors despite governing States with small landmass aren't able to develop the Igbo states???
How has the Yorubas benefited from having Tinubu a Yoruba man as president???
Sorry to write but the Igbos even amongst themselves aren't united and have no love for each others....how then will it be possible for them to love others??? It's difficult to give what you don't have.

The thing about immigrants in Canada. Many of them are interested in progress in their own lives and don't control political affairs back home.

    • @ThisSideOfLifeWisdom
      @ThisSideOfLifeWisdom  28 дней назад +2

Everyone should be interested in the progress of their own lives. However, we should not do that while hurting other people like our African politicians do. Wherever we are, there's something no matter how small we can do to impact our world, especially in this age of the internet. Thanks for watching!

I have not seen your headline caption "Tribalism in Lagos"...about Mc Olumo nor from Asari Dokubo or from Tinubu himself. Truth is Nigeria is deeply rooted in tribal and religious sentiments and can never coexist.

    • @ThisSideOfLifeWisdom

Please examine yourself. I did not even mention any tribe, I deliberately cut out any mention of tribe from the original video but you are still blinded by tribalism and bias. Check my community post for what I have to say further about this. As for me, I am a child of God, and all human beings are equal and are to be loved as myself. In heaven, we are the same. If you are a believer, you will think only of what Jesus would do. No one will stand before God on your behalf on Judgement day. So examine yourself and not others, and this world will be a better place. I thank you for watching!

Fine Mc Oluomo and Remi Tinubu made some profoundly unsavoury comments and they should have been condemned for those comments. MC Oluomo is a thug who should be nowhere near politics but for the incompetent occupier of Aso Rock. The latter's wife also made some stupid comments in 2019, which I found irritating. However, neither of the two said anything as terrible and grotesquely crude as the woman in question. She is advocating for the genocide of races and even went as far as prescribing the methods on how to carry out such disconcerting attacks. Additionally, she even stated that she would start carrying out her attack the next day. So, my point is that the woman's statement is far worse than MC Oluomo's or Remi Tinubu's

@@ThisSideOfLifeWisdom Just examine yourself too and read what I wrote again. Did I mention any tribe? 😆 You just demonstrated a long deep rooted problem in Nigeria aka ethnic tension. And another advise, stop engaging in a back and forth banter in comments with a viewer of your RUclips channel. Leave it for viewers to do that. You seem to have been touched personal to the morrow. Have a great day too.
