if the new ghoul drummer is an absolute monster then the old ghoul drummer is an absolute master. THere is never a single moment when he isn't in complete control.I particularly like this set they are all kicking arse big time
I think their old drummer is way tighter than their new one. The old guy had way more 'feel' and drive. Just listen how he handles the hi-hat in this live performance, this is absolutetly astonishing!
The sickest bass on any song on Opus is Prime Mover. That album really has a very doom metal/early Sabbath sound, so the bass is really prominent, driving & heavy. I think it really shines on that particular song. Especially Live.
Been into Ghost for a while now. Not heard this version of perhaps my choice tune from them. How they altered the latter half from the studio version is brilliant.....the aura is brilliant....early Ghost are brilliant!

So glad people were good enough to record these concerts so we can enjoy the Ghost that was & is no more.🤘💔

It's a great interview He called Tobias a psychopath. He also said he is going to be doing something in the future with some of his old Ghost colleagues and I can't wait! I so want him playing guitar again. Whatever he comes up with, I'm there💕. Come on Simon, show us who the real magic behind Ghost was. The cardinal crappia circus will fade. I hope Martin (Omega) will be part of Simon's new project. Yeah, can't wait!!!🤘
Me too. Omega and St. Peter were everything to Ghost. Technically the new album is really a Tobias solo record. He plays all the instruments and brought in hired studio hands when he couldn't play something, (ie: Sax). So it's a Tobias Forge solo album with the name Ghost attached to it. It would have been much better to release it as a solo album. Not bad for a solo album. But for Ghost? Where's the evil? Where's Papa? He's not evil anymore ,he's just funny now.

It was always the guitarists & like with Marilyn Manson, It was the singer. But this drummer is the best I've ever seen. Funny, when they play Genesis and Infesstisumam I don't miss a singer at all. Tobias, to use his words doesn't realize how "disposable " HE actually is. There is a European band of young guys who do Ghost cover songs. They are awesome and the singer's voice is much better than Tobias. They are called Another Nameless Ghost. Check them out on Utube .. I think you'll like them.
It sometimes happens when You're tired. Singing on pitch often seems to be easier nasally. Tobias is a baritone, who is forcing his timbre to sound high and tenor-like. It tyers Your vocal chords pretty easily and that's why he switches to more and more nasal sound during the concerts.

All Ghost songs have great bass lines (and the bass is really loud on Opus Eponymous)
