One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. If people would listen to the music and look past the theatrics they would see what an awesome band Ghost really is.
I have to constantly tell people that Ghost is a mockery of a Catholic Mass. The members, especially Tobias, aren't satanic so much as atheist/agnostic and they simply have a disdain for organized religion. Once you realize that it's all schtick and gimmick, they become exponentially more enjoyable. I just saw them about a week ago and it was probably the best concert I've ever been to. And they're ability to cover a song but also make it their own is impressive. Just look at their cover of "Avalanche" off Prequelle deluxe.
@@MrBlakeD82 Per Eriksson (Sodo) is actually a Satanist but you're right- a lot of people take them too seriously. They stand for what Satan represents- Tobias has said it himself, but considers himself an atheist.
It brought me to tears too. I was at home by listening to this gorgeous track! Fortunately, my man was around - and if it would be official - somewhere on streets - don't be shy to cry! I laugh at funny things - so I can also cry at sad things! Don't feel ashamed! CONGRATS for having emotions! 👍❤😘

Speaking as a Christian, I find much of Ghost’s music to be beautiful. It troubles me that any artist as gifted as Tobias would perpetuate a belief in unbelief, or worse, belief in an entity specifically in opposition to the idea of ultimate goodness. This song is beautiful. Tobias is a brilliant musician and arranger. I wish he would get away from the Satanic shtick, if in fact it’s only a shtick. If he’s truly into Satan, then he needs to choose that side. Playing at Satanism is almost as bad as being a legit Satanist. For those who think religion is a racket, that’s fair enough. I’m just saying that we Christians believe in God the Creator and His son, Jesus Christ. Despite the beauty in so many Ghost songs, there’s no reason to insult Christians, and no reason to make a mockery of Christianity, unless one is truly devoted to that task. Otherwise, reconsider. There are a lot of people you could reach without being overtly contemptuous of believers in God.

It really was a rough year and a half going through all of that. I didn't think I'd make it through, but here I am today. The world is such a different place than it was 2 and a half years ago. Seems like a lifetime ago now. Thanks For Your Comment Bro!
Lyrics: [Verse 1: Papa Emeritus III] The Earth was spinning all vacant and waste And there was silence over the ocean When a voice came thundering from above The first day of light was in motion Then the voice said may fruits be created And seeds take root as they may And no crimes were as yet committed Life was breathing its second day In his image, this voice made a man And a woman to love each other They became the rulers of the world And the third day was their mother [Chorus: Papa Emeritus III] Now, who will pray for Babylon? Sing a song to Babylon On your knees before Babylon Beat that drum because Babylon is falling [Verse 2: Papa Emeritus III] Man and woman learned how to make fire And the kingdom's walls were extended On the fourth day the walls were reaching so far No one knew where they ended Now, no one heard that voice anymore And metal cities came to ascend On the fifth day spring turned into fall And a rain fell over the land But no walls can stop such a rain That keeps on falling forevermore I was told that by the sixth day The Earth was like an open sore [Chorus: Papa Emeritus III] Now, who will pray for Babylon? Sing a song to Babylon On your knees before Babylon Beat that drum because Babylon is falling [Verse 3: Papa Emeritus III] The Earth was spinning all vacant and a waste And there was silence over the oceans When a voice came thundering from above The seventh day was in motion [Chorus: Papa Emeritus III] Now, who will pray for Babylon? Sing a song to Babylon On your knees before Babylon Beat that drum because Babylon is falling Falling [Segue Outro] I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created, and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground, for I regret that I have made them

@timwins31 We are all satan and god, it's yin and yan. You can't have one without the other. It's the nature of everyting. And yes, it's also just a philiosophical way of understanding things today mostly, but back in the day it's was used as a way to control people by bad people.
Same
Omg
I just discovered this song and band…….
I’m speechless
Swedish metal bands are amazing
This is one of the most bautiful songs I have ever heard. I do so love Ghost. My heart melts each time I hear this. I just wish it was live. I love their more raucious songs as well, but this,..oh,..wow. Just wow.
me too, it is so beautiful:)
A true Ghost fan, and yet no crimes were yet committed
His voice in this song though.. amazing
This is, by far, one of the best fan-made vids I've ever seen! This would have done Ghost proud if they'd done it themselves.
Thanks so much. It did turn out pretty cool. I can't believe it's been seven years since I made this. Cheers.🍷
Mate! You did an awesome job! I've lost count of how many time I've rewatched your video. So well done, man!

I'm waiting for David Gilmore and Roger Waters. From Pink Floyd to chime in as back up for this song
jen21629 I was thinking the same!
jen21629 I think ghost would like that.
I thought this song had a "Pink Floyd" vibe to it, also. Good call!
jen21629 we could only ever wish for that, wow that would be mind blowing.
sounds like it could be on the final cut....
I just want to be emotional and cry and give everybody a hug and relax.
I get goose bumps the chorus is PERFECT...What an intense video and song..
I'm so in love with Ghost. Such a beautiful cover!

I really loved reading through these comments. Reading everyone's interpretation of the lyrics was great. They're all different but they all have the same general meaning. Ive never heard of this band before but stumbled upon this song.
I only just discovered this band, and i truly thought this was a music video produced by the band. Very well done and thank you for the time and effort it must have taken to compose such a magnificent piece of visual artistry
MrMusiclover91 wow, thank you so much, was a fun video to make, hope the band has seen it, and thanks for watching

It's brilliant. A little bit of tuning, and Ghost can release this as their official mv.
This is a very good fan made video.
Love this band cant wait to see them live again
Me Either, where have they Been????
This song, regardless of lyrical content, is well executed and one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.
I listened to this song on repeat going through my seperation- divorce from my Babies Mother and all alone, Hit My Soul about mankind's fall from Grace, same as my Failure and Fall from Grace
So Glad it helped through your Tough Time, Best of everything for you!
It really was a rough year and a half going through all of that. I didn't think I'd make it through, but here I am today. The world is such a different place than it was 2 and a half years ago. Seems like a lifetime ago now. Thanks For Your Comment Bro!
Lmao
Just saw them play this live yesterday. Amazing performance!!!
I love you Mr.Ghost ...you speak to my soul ....
Lyrics:
[Verse 1: Papa Emeritus III]
The Earth was spinning all vacant and waste
And there was silence over the ocean
When a voice came thundering from above
The first day of light was in motion
Then the voice said may fruits be created
And seeds take root as they may
And no crimes were as yet committed
Life was breathing its second day
In his image, this voice made a man
And a woman to love each other
They became the rulers of the world
And the third day was their mother
[Chorus: Papa Emeritus III]
Now, who will pray for Babylon?
Sing a song to Babylon
On your knees before Babylon
Beat that drum because Babylon is falling
[Verse 2: Papa Emeritus III]
Man and woman learned how to make fire
And the kingdom's walls were extended
On the fourth day the walls were reaching so far
No one knew where they ended
Now, no one heard that voice anymore
And metal cities came to ascend
On the fifth day spring turned into fall
And a rain fell over the land
But no walls can stop such a rain
That keeps on falling forevermore
I was told that by the sixth day
The Earth was like an open sore
[Chorus: Papa Emeritus III]
Now, who will pray for Babylon?
Sing a song to Babylon
On your knees before Babylon
Beat that drum because Babylon is falling
[Verse 3: Papa Emeritus III]
The Earth was spinning all vacant and a waste
And there was silence over the oceans
When a voice came thundering from above
The seventh day was in motion
[Chorus: Papa Emeritus III]
Now, who will pray for Babylon?
Sing a song to Babylon
On your knees before Babylon
Beat that drum because Babylon is falling
Falling
[Segue Outro]
I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created, and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground, for I regret that I have made them
This song is painfully relevant now...
More than ever......
This is a song by Imperiet, called Bible
