I love how confident Marmrie is even though she’s so wrong, the first challenge was for both reward and immunity Grace was correct.

When Liz said “Q, you’ve been played!” All I could hear was Grace saying you’ve been hazed. I’m happy Kenzie won and was hyped when Liz helped her in the last challenge. Liz has become such an endearing cast member to me. Such a crazy season.
After that entire thing with Maria, I so badly wanted her to pull out an idol nobody knew she had. I didn't even want her to stay, but man. What a moment that would've been.

Oh Jesus this episode was PAINFUL as a fan 😅😅 from Grace repeatedly calling Kenzie “Kelsey” to Mamrie not understanding that there’s an immunity challenge before EVERY TRIBAL. The obstacle course was immunity and reward - when do they ever go to tribal without someone having the necklace? Oh girlies we love ya but I now have angina.
I love them so much too, but I agree. I have been looking forward to this episode! But I'm only 13 minutes in and it's killlllling me
When players say they're superfans and then are shocked by the reality of the game, Grace and Mamrie are who I will think of now. 😆
People who enjoy the game but don't know every aspect of it are out there, which is great!, I just forget that they exist lol.
I had to quit when Grace called Kenzie the wrong name. This was an extremely painful episode and I truly was looking forward to it.
Ladies, that was a lot of great insight into the show and it really enhanced my enjoyment of the season. When the season began, I extremely disliked Kenzie. I have to say that over he course of the season she won me over, like nobody has i the past, and in the end I found myself rooting for her. I'm happy with the outcome.
Fire challenge: they MUST keep it. The name of the show is "Survivor". In the beginning, they put people in an environment with nothing: the contestants had to fend for themselves, like, you know, survivors. No food, no water, no shelter, no nothing. Over the seasons they've spoiled them: they fed them (starving people are lethargic: bad TV), they give them water, and they live in fucking Fiji. Fire is the only remnant of anything that makes this show "Survivor". If they get rid of making fire, they'll have to change the name of the show to "Vacation".
The final four fire-making challenge was introduced in season 35 and was EXTREMELY controversial, because production didn’t reveal it to the contestants until after the final immunity challenge. The majority of fans see this as production trying to rig the win in favour of the scrappy underdog who was 100% going to be voted out in fourth place if they still had a regular vote.
Okay for the non-Survivor watchers: was I the only one that had to go google because I thought they meant Jon Lovitz was gonna be on the next season of Survivor 😂😂

I never liked Maria and I didn't know why but after her salty juror vote that was literally THE SOLE reason Charlie lost $1m, I feel vindicated in hating her. If it was 4-4 vote tie, 3rd place choses winner and Ben confirmed on Jeff's podcast he would have voted for Charlie. Maria is the worst type of player.

Also it was 2 immunity challenges in one episode to get from Final 5 to the Final 3.
The one Liz helped Kenzie in was for immunity also that's the one that they took out Maria in the pinko one Ben won and sent Kenzie and Liz to do the fire making.
Ladies I love y’all but for a reality show recap podcast there was just too many core things wrong for me to enjoy this one 😭😭 like facts should be straight first and thennn the funny commentary. But I’ll still be listening to the next one!!

Maria is number 1 villain of the survivor reddit sub. according to the post exit interview, Charlie said that him and Maria talked about it but leading to the finale, he said that she kind of retracted on what they have discussed. So that probably felt like it opened a lot of wounds to him. He said he probably won't be friends with her anymore.
I mixed up Jon Lovett and Jon Lovitz and was actually excited for a second about what he would be like on the island 😂
Love Mamrie but she constantly makes points that are completely wrong, but is so steadfast in her opinion that Grace second guesses herself. It says a lot about their dynamic haha

I listen to the audio only version, but I had to come here to see people reading Mamrie for the immunity challenge snafu
Personally, I think my Maria turning point was when she started working with Q seriously, but I was already rooting for Charlie by that point. I couldn't be mad about Kenzie winning, but I just appreciated that Liz helping her in that immunity challenge surprised me because I thought she was running for her own board to be ready.
I watched S46 just so I can now watch your podcast episodes about it 😊
the history behind the fire is that survivor used to have only a final 2, which saw favourites going out in 3rd, so they expanded it to a final 3. But that just meant the favourites got voted out 4th instead. So fire was introduced to bring in an element of chance, so there is still opportunity for the person who would’ve been voted out to make it to FTC since it’s not up to a vote
Problem is they just vote them out 5th now lol. Lots of us are much more interested in the final 4 voting dynamic, especially since there’s more incentive to bring someone like a Maria further if you thinj you can still vote them out later, and there’s a chance for a tie which would still result in a fire anyway
I was waiting for a Drag Race episode since y’all talked about Survivor all last episode (minus the 8 minutes for Vanderpump lol) 😭
The fact that y'all got into survivor, a show I've watched since the beginning and been teased my whole life for doing so, is hilariously gratifying. 🥹
