  • Rizzoli Locomotive Works designed and built two new whistles for the V&T so the crews and the Facebook Friends could vote on which on they liked best.
We are so proud to have been part of this great railroad!
Special thanks to the entire V&T family for allowing us to have such a good time playing trains!

I see the old whistle was a southern 3 chime. With the new whistle on the old bowl, it looks and sounds like a southern railway 5 chime.

The number 30 sounds a lot like the baldwin whistle that mccloud river railroad 19 and 18 had during their career in mccloud

So what happened to the other whistle, #31? Is it for sale?

Our specialty are scale whistles. This is the first one we have built. I don't think we are going to offer full size whistles, MD is the choice for those. Thank you for your kind words!

Chris, I want to build that whistle at .33 seconds into this video. Is it possible for me to make that out of steel?

Good job guys! I can't believe how worn out that cast MD whistle is, they must have put it through some service! I kinda got into building whistles myself, and personally I love it. Do you guys offer full sized whistles for sale at all?

That whistle was about a year old at that time. It was bad form the start and only got worse. Pure JUNK !

After a few weeks the M.D. Whistle turned to be compleat Junk ! Started sounding like a ruptured Duck. It was a total joke and disgrace to the Builder.
