The “Forks” look great-MUCH better than the wheels you had on before.
Thanks! I think so too
The lobster claw wheels look miles better. I’d always go OEM over aftermarket every time
I agree, I can’t stop looking at them
I have a silver 996 c4s. Want these lobsters in black. 🖤
That would look pretty cool
I'm considering these for my 996.1. It has H&R sport springs so I'm curious if you've had any rubbing now that you've had time to drive it?
No not really, definitely needs spacers in the front though
Great video what is the bumper on the 996 you have?
That’s the stock non aero bumper
Love the lobster forks on a 996, esp aero cars. These are standard 997 lobster forks? Thinking of picking a set, already have 295s, what size tires do you have on the fronts? Do the 997 lobsters have only one offset size? 19x11 +67 rear; 19x8 +57
front.
They are standard 997, 235 on the front. Yeah, I think they’re all the same size
@@LowBoostFilmsActually I have learned they are not all the same size. The rear lobsters came in two offsets 51 and 67. It's stamped right next to the valve stem. Which one do you have for the video?
The lobster claw look is a plus, that said I'm always skeptical of wheel spacers and wheel bearing issues.
Yea I feel you, it’s not a huge spacer, lots of wheels would have the same offset.
Lobster forks look great on a 996!
Yea I’ve always loved them
Considering lobsters on my 996 c4s. Having seen yours they look great.
Nice! You’ll definitely the spacers in the front. They might fit the rear fine.
@@LowBoostFilmsdid you go from 18 to 19 in? Any difference in handling and ride? Ps. I love my quick jacks also.
@@vintagesteelgarageno noticeable difference, the car is already pretty stiff on the coilovers.
Youll need the Lobster claws from a turbo or S series 997.
I have smoke grey powder coated claws on my narrow body cab, like here in this video. but also ended up with 6 more stock finished claws (4 were rears.. 2 for wide body turbo or s ) theyre gone now tho.
S and Turbo have the same wide body
@@koollee ok thanks for info
Lobsters all the way!
Lobstah!
Love the look! It’s kinda James Bondesque. The old wheels were corny.
PS - I am still feel some kinda way at you for going Hollywood. You trailered the C5 to track day instead of driving there and back home.
😮
Lol, I have driven into the track and back, but it was sketchy with 5 gallon jugs of gasoline sitting behind my seat lol. Having a truck and a trailer allows me to put more stuff to bring like tools, tires, canopy, film equipment etc.
IMO the Enkei NT03s looks a bit better, but I've never been a fan of the lobster fork wheels. Otherwise, the fitment with the front spacer looks pretty good but you can probably go with the 20mm and be fine. I also run 19s with 295/30-19 rear and 235/35-19 front, which is the stock 997 size for that year. Those 325/30-19s are almost an inch taller than the stock 997, and almost 1.5" taller than the stock 996 265/35-18 tires.
Nice. I’ve always loved the lobster forks so I’m partial
