    I found that I had to unplug, then plug it in. Open the autolift part where you insert a pod. Then close it. Then immediately press the coffee button 3 times. Only way I was able to get into the Orange mode and it went through that rinse/cleaning cycle.

    If you are struggling with the first use set up? I found I needed to leave it on with the green light showing for about 10 mins and then it was happy to accept my three presses of the button. So try walking away and making a cup of tea 😉 and then go back to it… maybe it needs to get to temperature a bit longer but once I did this the cleaning set up was easy……

    A little tip guys do a mole descaling for the first use 2 cycles and follow instructions to make it out of descaling mode by pushing the lever and the bottom for 3 seconds.
    Leave it for some moments and u can prepare your coffee normally

    The Nespresso knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the Nespresso from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
    In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the Nespresso is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the Nespresso must also know where it was.
    The Nespresso guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the Nespresso has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

    Instructs to make sure cup support is inserted. However, when setting up you cannot out a container under spout without REMOVING cup support when cleaning or setting up maker.

    I just got this machine and am trying to do the first cleaning. The orange light is blinking but no water is coming out and it's been 6+minutes. The orange light is still blinking. How long do I wait? Is something wrong? Help please!

      To those who see this in the future, I just pushed the button again after waiting like OP and process just started. I dunno if it works different now and documentation needs to be updated but just try pushing the button again while it's blinking orange. This worked on a vertuo plus

    Just received my Vertuo Plus, had a lot of problems doing the first cleaning, read lots of reviews. Pressed three times orange light came on and nothing for 20+ minutes. Then as some had said, i pressed the button once while the light was blinking, made noises like it wanted to and nothing, then pressed it again, and wow, finally started working. Come on Nespresso, as much as these machines cost, shouldn’t have to go through this.

    I just received my Vertuo Plus machine and could not get the orange blinking lights to do the "Rinse Machine Before First Use". After a while I went ahead and put in a pod to brew first cup. Now, do I need to back track to rinse machine. I see someone waited 19 minutes for the blinking lights.

      Hi Rosana, the VertuoPlus machine will automatically power off after 9 minutes of no use. Alternatively, you can turn it off yourself by firstly closing the machine head and pushing the lever down for 3 seconds. Many thanks.

    This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

      Why would you descale it before even using it?

      The cleaning procedure should be completed approximately once a week, and prior to your first use on a new machine. Descaling can be after you've brewed approximately 300 capsules. We do recommend a weekly cleaning of your machine, to keep the machine running as good as possible in between descaling.

      Ok that’s different than fist use as mentioned above. Also why not use spring water (never distilled) instead of tap water and you never have to descale. I have a regular espresso machine I’ve been using Spring water only for 10 years now and never have had to descale it. And no corrosion either.

      @@nkcbrazil it was just to force it to clean up. But normally as Nespresso mentioned the descaling with a descaling is recommended each 6months or 300 capsules and once a week a normal cleaning with water 💧

    Would it kill them to add more than one button for certain features smh. "hold for 3 seconds, tap 3 times in under 2 seconds, hold the button and the lever at the same time for 3 seconds then turn around and touch your toes for 5 seconds!" Good lord ffs smh

    For 2 years that I have been a nespresso user I didn’t have a problem. Until my nespresso vertuo plus stopped working. I called nespresso and explained what happened. While my machine is still under warranty and they even video call me to make sure that my machine is really not working. They saw and still giving me a hard time. And said that they emailed me a letter saying that I need to return my machine for a repair. And it will take a few weeks for it to be done. A FEW WEEKS😮
    That means A FEW WEEKS of
    no coffee for me??? Wow. That is so disappointing. That shows that they don’t show no care for their customers.

    May I ask what the difference is between the 2 styles of the machine? One has a dome-shaped top and the other is more flat but both Vertuo Plus machines.

    I pressed the button three times, but it didn’t register until until the third time I tried to start the process. Then, the orange button kept flashing but nothing happened. I then pressed the brew button two more times before water finally started coming out. Is this normal?

      Hi there, I can confirm that process in the video only needs to be followed on the first use of your machine, if the tank has been run dry or not been used for a period of time, if your machine has been in placed in draining mode or has recently returned from repair and has been drained for transport. I can however recommend that you regularly run a clean/rinse cycle on your machine to ensure it is maintained well.     Will the black flat head be back in stock soon? Which of these two machines are by Breville and De’Longhi?

      Hi Brian, the VertuoPlus is available for online purchase in the US now. Breville and DeLonghi are distribution partners with Nespresso so if you purchase one of our machines in location other than through us directly it will have one of those logos on it. The machines themselves are identical functionally.

      When will the flat head be available in Canada? The round head is available but I want the flat head that is out of stock, apparently.

    I just installed the new Nespresso and milk frother. I love it....one question...the coffee does not seem really hot....is there something i need to do?

      @@nespresso thank you! do i need to keep machine plugged in at all times? i unplugged last night and then this morning got red light on top. maybe using the cold cream from fridge is issue?

      Brew a used capsule in the chamber first, Stacey, or follow the instructions under 'first use' to run hot water though your Nespresso machine.

      @@nespresso so each morning before my first cup brew a used capsule in chamber first? does that heat water ? do i keep machine plugged in at all time...ok to unplug if i leave for a day?
