Unfortunately, we don't get to see the carafe being filled from the machine - why not? What are the aluminium pods lined with? What is the temperature of the water at the point of extraction? We don't know. Move on, nothing to see - or hear - here.

If there’s “a demand for longer cups”, why would Nespresso remove the alto size from its lineup of pods? For those who don’t know, Nespresso made the decision to discontinue their 14 ounce pods leaving many customers upset.
Less coffee per pod means MORE PROFIT for Nespresso ... simples! They know that dumb consumers would buy these pods even if they were empty - just like their brains!
Ahhhh, the amazing Carafe Pour-Over size.... but she doesn't demonstrate how to fill such a large container directly from the machine! "Move on everyone, nothing to see - or hear - here." as they say in the movies.
You can remove the silver tray where she rests the mug, there are also a few different positions for that tray you can choose based on what size mug you are using.

@@nespresso You should PUBLISH the temperature of the water at the point of INFUSION! This is the main fault of many so called coffee machines. We have asked for that important data from Nespresso customer support many times, but never received an answer. Weird or what!!??
@@return2earthvideochannel i took a thermometer and measured it myself at 120°F which is what Starbucks heats their hot chocolate too. When you add hot steamed milk, it's at 140°, which is average. You don't want to scorch your espresso or it'll taste bitter.

Ah now I get it! So the different barcodes tell the machine how much water to dispense. Just ordered a machine without realising two systems for 2 different sizes of coffee pod. Didn’t receive any pods with it so bought some ‘Nespresso compatible’’ without realising they would not work in my vertuo which uses a different size. So can only use Nespresso capsules in virtuo? 🙄
Sprouts grocery store in the USA provides the thickest froth by far when it comes to Whole milk. I used Trader Joe’s whole milk both regular and grass fed and no froth just foamy bubbles.
I work at Trader Joe’s and I can tell you you’re full of crap. All of the milk you get actually comes from the same farms, there’s no difference. Did you think sprouts and Trader Joe’s had its own special cows that each make some kind of different magical milk exclusive to the store they knew they were going to?

Hi Laura, The Vertuo machine has a centrifusion extraction technology when activated, the capsule spins up to 4,000 rotations per minute, Thanks to a barcode on the rim of the capsule, the brewing parameters are adjusted by the machine and pours out the prescribe amount. Alternatively probe a reset on your Vertuo Nespresso machine.
My 20-year-old Nespresso machine just died and replaced it with this virtual one which feels like it’s not going to last 20 years like my original. Feels very flimsy in comparison to the original Nespresso machine I brought 20 years ago.

My mother in law bought this machine thinking she could use it to make a espresso coffee in the morning as it is just her. This machine is more than a nightmare I came over to help her with it I read all the info then I watched the videos downloaded the app and made a espresso coffee with one of the medium cups it made this small amount of coffee woth a little bit of cream I couldn’t believe how disgusting it was. This should have made atleast 8 ounces I would been happy with 6 ounces woth cream. I am wanting someone to either exchange this one for a new one or refund her money so she CAN BUY SOMETHING THAT WORKS.

Nespresso call their technology 'Centrifusion' and even trademarked this silly made-up word. It is derived from the words Centrifugal Force and Infusion. You can achieve exactly the same - or better - by adding hot water to ground coffee in a jug or french press, then 'infusing' the brew with a hand-held electric whisk that creates a vortex. Whisk for just 10 seconds and you will experience the 'best coffee ever'. Now return the mesh plunger to the french press and pour to serve! This neat trick means you can use your favourite Certified Organic ground beans or ready-ground coffee and save a small fortune compared to those expensive aluminium disposable pods! Simple.

I bought one and had no idea all the capsule sizes made different size coffees. I like milky coffees like lattes. I spent $150 on coffee and can’t drink half of them because it fills the whole cup with black coffee and I can’t fit any milk in it. All the yummy sounding ones like vanilla custard pie is just black coffee and you can’t make it a latte. It’s the whole reason I bought a coffee machine so I wasn’t spending $12 a day on vanilla lattes at the cafe. I feel like I’ve wasted my money and I’m so angry that your website doesn’t explain any of this information.

This is not "new technology" ... they keep re-releasing the Vertuo because sales keep falling. The special coffee pods are bar-coded so you cannot use less expensive compatible pods. And Nespresso use a well known tactic called 'distraction marketing' - meaning they bring out new 'flavours' to encourage more sales. But wait, I just want to taste 100% coffee, and not other synthetic flavours, that is madness! The aluminium pods are lined with a film of plastic - not good folks! When hot water and acidic coffee grinds spin around against the plastic coating, your freshly brewed drink now contains chemicals that were 'extracted' from the plastic liner..... ,mmmm, tasty! As they say, move on everyone, nothing to see here.

Yes, we do recommend using only Nespresso pods with our machines as we cannot guarantee the quality of other pods.

Nestle changed to the Vertuo because they screwed up on the parent for the original capsules, allowing anyone to copy them.
Secondly, the demand for larger size capsules is bollocks. Yes the Americans and even less sophisticated South Africans do think big is better. However - the more civilised Europeans (nestle is based in Europe) prefer smaller coffees. Not a huge mug of muck. I hate marketing bullshit.
Ps: the original nestle machine was made to make warm baby milk. Except no regulator would certificate it. Hence - a coffee maker.
Oh and ignore that crap about being environmentally friendly and caring if coffee workers. What a joke.
