you're a blessing to the jazz guitar community on yt.
Natural teacher
Finally someone explained it in relatively easy terms what it means "to unlock the fretboard". Thank you!
I really dig your lessons and your approach. One trap i have to avoid: try to master all at once. Though every exercise is enlightening i feel more comfortable with mastering one thing at a time. That's quite challenging with all the sources of Information today. I see it as a blessing. But sometimes i wish I could jump back in time and to concentrate to one specific album, one teacher, one system...
I have been falling into that trap for years. I'm completely unbalanced. All or nothing. I am getting better, but sometimes I feel if I evenly divide everything I need to work on into timed segments I will only have 2 minutes to work on each part. And at that rate it will take a lifetime to master any one part. A blessing and curse...I hear you. The hardest part is figuring out what to practice and how to practice and how much time to spend on each part. Tough. I have started using a timer to break up what I practice. Something Rotem suggested to me years ago, but I was too hard headed to listen. It helps, but it is hard to move on when I feel like I have so much still to work on in that one area. Take care.
Too true. Information overload is tough to manage, but it's a nice problem to have!
with you Chris
I like using a thumb pick with jazz.just tried it and it's very helpful for me
You're a star Rotem, thank you for this video!!
Triads are amazing. One of the most versatile tools I have found. Defiantly worth the investment of time, and it’s a lot of fun.
Thank you Rotem for your masterpiece videos. Thank you for being a inspiration to many.
Happy to help!
Awesome lesson and great musical exercises.
Your c major7 video opened my eyes transitioning me from blues to all out melodies
Weirdly, I'm concentrating on CMaj right now and was kind of planning some practice similar to this.
So the video is perfect for me right now haha.
Cheers.
So clear and helpful, thx!
Very very nice and helpful !
man.. still wrapping my head around that last exercise, but I love it!!
10:52 this reminds me of the great Clash song, 'Rebel Waltz' :) - thanks for the great lesson, much appreciated!
Mine blowing! I'm going to strive to do those exercises it's totally what I need. And the only way to do it is to do it.
It's a real pleasure to follow your lessons. I like your great sense of musicality.
I like how he makes complex concept(for me) to doable thing! thx for great vid😊
hello Rotem. Thank you for the great input. you explain everything in the video perfectly and at the right speed. showing the slow one again helps me further. The connection with solmization and listening to the color of the tone is great. best regards Udo
This is gold. Thank you so much Rotem. I've watched this twice last month to try to figure it out. You're such a great teacher
last two exercises / ideas are excellent !!!!
Once again, informative and inspiring. Have just taken delivery of A New Dance, which I am enjoying immensely. Even my wife likes it!
I finally get why you hum the note while playing the other notes... you're listening to the difference between the root vs the 3rd, 5th, octave-root, etc. So, if we had a bad voice, and looper pedal, we could loop the low root and then play/listen to the other notes (I understand the concept of "colors" and "flavors" of music, but was missing the finer detail)
Really helpful. I'm already doing an arpeggio exercise like this one but you made me realise that I should get familiar with recognising the notes and where they are from the centre instead of trying to fly through the shapes as fast as I can. Much better and more useful. Thank you 🙏🏻
What a great lesson. Thanks for blessing me with these tips
This is legit, thanks a bunch for sharing! Funny that cycling through triads in the circle of 5ths is also Cory Wong’s warmup. Relevant no matter what genre were playing in.
GOOD TIMING! I was looking for some 1-3-5 patterns to practice
A classic sound. I like it!!! Greetings from Mexico
love this
I am attempting to learn triads in my practice routine.
Great exercises and ideas for practicing! Thank you!
I LOVED your tone, can you help me out how to get this tone?
Well, time to get to work then! :D Great lesson!
Maaan! What reverb pedal is that? It sounds amazing!
You are awesome, thank you Rotem ❤️
Great lesson as always Rotem. I can’t seen to find the .pdf on Patreon? I mainly want it for the last chord changes bit. Probably user error but can you point in the right direction?
Awesome
Another great lesson!
Thank you! Usefull as all your videos.
Ciao
I love your tutorials..
Killer stuff! This is so helpful. Cheers!
Love it! What is the Gibson model you are playing?
Fantastic. Thank you
great vid thanks so much
Such a humble voice you have
Great lesson
No dislike! Amazing 😍
Lol ❤️🙏
We used to call them arpeggios!
גאווה ישראלית אתה
Why do you avoid barring in these arpeggios?
Please don't poke your eye out.
And not a single mention of how to actually apply any of it in a solo.
