Lex reminds me of Vivica A. Fox in Curb Your Enthusiasm in that if you took her to a Metal concert she clock a guy taking a cheap shot at you in mosh pit! Come on you know she would watch your back in place like that! Brad is lucky guy!
Craziest mosh pit ive been in. When this song started I was standing on the side. All the sudden the entire floor was the pit. Great fellow fans, guy picked me up when I fell.
I saw Pantera for first concert and standing at back with my friend, once they started the entire floor was the pit. I didn't find my friend until the end of the show.
One time my high school football team was playing a road game and the other team came out running onto the field blasting "Walk" over the PA system and I knew we were about to get our ass beat. And we got our ass beat.
Jealous. We had a few metal bands at our high school, but there was never any metal played over the intercom. I think if that happened there would've be pandemonium. I wish you guys could have experienced Pantera, and especially Dimebag against the stage watching him shred in front of you. I will pass from this world with those memories . Great times, mutual respect across all people there for one universal reason. Music unifies! Don’t believe the hype. 🤘🏼🤙🏼
this song is so needed today. people spreading their beliefs on others, and then get mad that you think or feel different. "be yourself, by yourself, stay away from me!"
I can still rock out to this group any time it comes out on my radio. I love when I'm riding my bike to Pantera. I listen to xm radio. Octane and turbo channels.
I only ever saw Pantera once, when I was four. I sat on my dad's shoulders and saw them in a lineup with Marilyn Manson, Powerman 5000, Machine Head, Fear Factory, and Black Sabbath's reunion. To this day, no concert will ever compare with it. It's one of the few memories from around that time that latched on to me because I sincerely felt my teeth chattering from the noise and we were probably fifteen rows back. I still have the drumskin my dad caught from Vinnie Paul that night, too.
Shedding Skin by Pantera would be a great reaction🤘 With how in tune Lex is with music and sounds, I'm just hoping you're writing music or at least thinking about it🤘
Awe. Some! I always remember seeing Anthrax's Scott Ian in an interview saying that the beginning riff of this song sounds like "the end of the F-ing world" lol
Really appreciate the way Brad is so intent on following the lyrics and trying to understand the meaning... And I really dig the way Lex gets into the MUSIC so much. Respect.
This is literally the song that me into metal. I heard it when I was about 9 or 10, and I thought it was the most hard-hitting song of the time, and it’s still one of the hardest hitting riffs.
I was at a Pantera concert when they played this live. I was 14 years old and a girl. Yes, it's insane, but totally safe. People were crowd surfing and there were mosh pits. It was a blast!!!

Brad is always internalizing the literality of things. It's an intense way to be. Lex is empathizing...she can flow more, gets the gist and not overthing, so that she can remain connected....he must take in data to be understood later, for the good of the council, the tribe of manhood, making sure that the energy that is being accepted within the group will not pollute the overall dynamic of the group...Men and women. "That was heavy." Some of the black fingernail crowd would dispute that. All I know is that when Vulgar Display of Power came out, I bought it on cassette, and the cassette weighed 245#.

The moment I saw the title of this video I was like "Lex gunna LUV this!" This song is on my playlist, it is one of the songs I listen to in order to get me pumped for a rough day at work. One of these days, Lex, there's gonna be a metal concert, and we're gonna be in the mosh pit! You're gonna love it!
This was one of my dad's favorite bands when I was growing up. I had the pleasure of him putting a couple of their songs on my first mp3 player(back when a normal mp3 held like 20-30 songs lol) when I was in middle school. Can't thank my old man enough lol
To be honest, you survived a Pantera concert. In some shows we had pits where you moshed, at Pantera the whole place went nuts. Best show I ever survived.
There is a video that shows Dime getting murdered on stage he's the guitarist and Vin died of a heartache a few years later RIP Abbott Brothers you will never be forgotten.
This shit makes you feel high when you're at the show. (Especially if you're high) You can go crazy, mad at these shows. Everybody attacks everyone and also looks out for everybody. I've battled ( as a short guy) and helped out. Black, white, brown at these shows, we're all one. Humans. It's like when you were in grade school and became best friends with the kid you would fight with. You're both down and you proved it so you became friends, lol. That's Pantera. The best friend you made out of a fight
Had the honor of seeing Pantera live about 4 times back in the 90s. Happened to be driving through Columbus about an hour after Dimebag was shot that night... I cried, it was a sad day. RIP Dimebag and Vinnie
Your analysis of this song is absolutely 💯 correct they wrote this song for all that talked shit on their come up then wanted to come around and act like they were their friends back then
I saw them at Ozzfest 97' and they had probably the best performance of the night. After every song they were thanking everyone for coming out and getting the crowd hyped and then, jump in to the next song, and for the previous bands, there were kind of 3 mosh pits around the floor, but when Pantera came on, the entire crowd became the pit, it was Mosh or Die, and one of the most amazing mosh crowds around. Everyone having fun, no one trying to just an ass. Pantera will be missed. RIP Dimebag and Vinnie
The venue where Dimebag was shot to death was the Alrosa Villa in Columbus Ohio. They recently tore it down, and some guy is selling sections of the stage that Dimebag was killed on! Talk about sick stuff!!!
Wish you guys would have reacted to the official video to "Cowboys From Hell" like you did this one. It just gives the song So much more power. It's an experience just to watch.
I saw PANTERA live in 2000 on their Reinventing the Steel tour at the Denver Coliseum, which is where they normally hold motocross events and monster truck rallies, so there was a big "pit" for the mosh pit. You needed a "Pit Pass" to be down around the stage where the pit was, which my friends and I all had; we were right in front of the stage. Eventually, like a hive-mind, the entire crowd in the stands orchestrated a rush on security barricading the pit; they did a massive countdown like it was New Year's Eve: "THREE!!! TWO!!! ONE!!!" Then, in complete unison, the stands flooded down toward the pit. Security all bailed for the rest of the show; it was utter mayhem. NO BAND commanded authority and hyped their crowd more than PANTERA (period). The pit was way too crazy; I had to seek safety eventually. To be sure, they started the setlist with "Hellbound" - which was INTENSE. Once Phil unleashed that first "HELLLLLLLLLBOOOOOUUUUUUNNNNNDDDDDDD!!!" the crowd went crazy like someone kicked a beehive. I've never seen anything like it since and I've been to hundreds of heavy concerts. I'd love to see your reaction to "Hellbound." \m/\m/ RIP: Dime and Vinnie. PANTERA is the GOAT.
Man does this song take me back!! I was dating the lead singer of a band called (wait for it) Yeast Infection. Yes that was their name. Pantera was his fav band. He had super long hair and showed up to the bar I worked at with a bald head.😳 What the heck..... I was NOT pleased but I got over it 😂 This song was on when he walked in so I'll never forget that moment.
These guys came onto the scene and brought a new vibe to metal which was dying at the time. Tragedy plagued this band. While on hiatus playing for another band the guitarist DimeBag Daryl was shot to death on stage by a mentally ill fan. His brother the drummer died recently of a heart attack. Singer also battled a drug addiction.
You asked lex in the Lamb of god video why she says this type of music speaks to her soul. I can relate. Its measage in the tracks, the passion in how the words are presented, also the rhythm or beat as some say has such power that it stirs somthing. Like a primal dound that speaks to your inner rawness or ruthless power and aggression. Lol if you know you know

I just gotta say seeing Lex jam so hard to Pantera warms my heart.
She has a metal head in her
We headbang to feel the groove just like people dance
Indeed.
When snapping your fingers, or tapping your foot just don't cut it
We don't dance we fuckin headband
That's how I explain it.

Noted ;) and not just on this track
They need to listen to a old punk band called the germs
Not always. Watch him during female voices with piano- he's all smiles.
This is the genius of Dimebag Darrell. One of the greatest guitarists in metal history, took the most basic riff and turned it into an anthem.
Dimebag R.I.P.
if not the best.
I've binge watched a dozen videos from these guys and have determined that Lex is so. fucking. awesome!
Craziest mosh pit ive been in. When this song started I was standing on the side. All the sudden the entire floor was the pit. Great fellow fans, guy picked me up when I fell.
I was a big guy (6 3” 260#) and they were the only crowd I could surf on.
Pantera, love em but were just passed by Sepulture, saw em in a small club no room everyone went chicken oriental
I saw Pantera for first concert and standing at back with my friend, once they started the entire floor was the pit. I didn't find my friend until the end of the show.
Easily one of the roughest shows I've ever been to
Saw them on the Vulgar Display tour. The only mosh pit bigger than this song was "F#cking Hostile".
Her smile says it all

As a native Texan who grew up in the 90s, there’s a good argument that this should be the state anthem. It’s the ultimate workout playlist song.
