@@Stokeontrentcarpangler last time I caught a couple of carp so close in had to drape line into water from bank If line not flat against bank carp could see it But so keen on grubbing in clay they cheekily moved line out of way & carried on feeding Its minerals & salt in clay at this time of year they like
@andym5900 it’s what happened here I even moved my rods right back on the bank so it didn’t spook the carp it was unbelievable. But just shows if you keep your eyes on the water and notice something like that and act quick it can be rewarding.

This is no difference really from what the match guys do, they fish really close in. Watch a few of the match guys, amazing how much you can learn from them. Tight lines.
