Really looking forward to this series. Love the name. You should share some of the worst cheap gear you purchase as well. Not only the good finds. Also got me with the fake ending. Well done.
I bought the K&F variable nd & love it was looking at these at the time mostly because it was red & cheap lol, but just recently ordered it any way for another rig . I use a Fotga fold out mat box & its great quality so I was expecting the same from this VND. thought I would check out some reviews & yours was the 1st i clicked on ,now i'm subscribed ;)
I have a few lenses that use 52mm filters, and i just ordered this Fotga filter for 10$ in 52mm size... Honestly it looks good for amateur use. Thanks for the good review! 👍
Lazar Janjusevic Thanks! And yes!! I think it’s totally acceptable for Ameritech use. I’d use it in client work if I was in a pinch. Just be careful to not over do it. That vignette can kill an otherwise good frame.
@@ajwilliamsmedia went out yesterday to shoot a video at 5pm, lens stopped down to f16, camera at iso 50 and 1/50, everything was blow out...this nd is a must!
Technically all variable ND’s are polarizing. It’s two polarized filters that, when turned to polarize in opposite directions, they almost completely stop light from going though the glass. The differences come from how well the glass is polarized and how perfectly the two glass elements are matched. So.. yes! Haha! Sorry for the long, nerdy response.
Thanks for the review. I’ll be picking one up!
Caleb Minnis Love it! Keep an eye out for the next one dropping soon!
Very helpful! Considering getting these. Thanks!
Thanks that means a lot!
Thanks for making this AJ. Very helpful!
You’re so welcome, Stu! ✌🏽
Thank you for a good review, A.J. I was curious about this filter and you have provided some good info.
Thanks! I actually still use this filter. It was $20 well spent!

Joel Lal Totally plan on it. Stay tuned for the next one! I’ll be reviewing a Gorilla Pod knock off that I got at Best Buy.

Thanks so much! And good choice on the matte box. SO many filter options plus it makes your rig look super impressive.

Mr. Bezos, one of the wealthiest people on the planet, thanks you for the free plug.
Is this supposed to be a jab at me? I’m confused.
Actually, ins't this filter a polarizing also?
