  • Today I'm moving some feverfew that is swamping my roses, and moving a mystery shrub/tree. I also need to give my rosemary a long-overdue prune and Richard helped me to plant the Peacock Orchids.
I will only ever recommend products that I use regularly and believe to be good value.

I love the peacock orchid, they smell heavenly and well worth the trouble of digging up each fall and storing where I live 🇨🇦

Though I've been gardening 40+ years, I'm always learning. Good tip on pruning the rosemary - I have one about 5 ft tall and 4 ft wide near a path that I just trim whenever its branches get in the way. And I have a few Peacock orchids planted but never knew they were scented! Enjoying your videos.

Feverfew seeds itself everywhere in my garden- usually in the most awkward of places and I invariably have to move it. Such a pretty flower to add to bouquets though, that I can forgive it. I took rosemary cuttings from a friends shrub, late last Autumn. I think they've taken. I am s bit worried to turn out the pot though, just in case they don't have enough root yet. I have my potted gladioli bulbs to plant out on my allotment but no idea when I will have he time as my dahlias are taking up a lot of my tim and pricking out/potting on the Summer annuals. Really pleased with most things as it was a slow start to the spring. The peonies and roses are looking exciting- they should be full of colour in a week or so 🙂Thanks for a great video, Annette. Happy gardening 🙂

I plant my peacock orchids in a window box on my deck. I've begun planting my annuals out too, The temps have been in the 20C's here. Happy gardening! Bonny

Hi Bonny, it sounds like your weather is warming up. How lovely. Do you find you need to stake the Peacock Orchids in the window boxes? They grow quite tall for me - about 1m high. 😊

@@cottoverdi Mine are tall too but I plant them close together and they don't need staking.

Try removing the “candles” new growth from the spruce, this will help size control it, I think it’s fabulous. Just a suggestion for you.

Great video, Annette. You have so much knowledge! Just out of interest: do you come from a horticultural background?

Thanks Elie, no, no formal training at all - just a LOT of practice, 1000's of mistakes, and hours of research. I just love gardening so much that I find it easy to learn new things. It's all so interesting.
