    Hey guys, some tips:
    1. Leave identifiers out, and use placeholders instead. This includes your name, the 2nd and third party's name and so on. Then use MS word replace all to fix the placeholders. This is so you don't break any NDA agreements with your company should OpenAI have some leakage. Don't even mention your city.
    2. Always review the output to make sure that ChatGPT is not hallucinating. Talking from experience.

    Recently I made a roadmap planner on Figma using the new AI generation tool, I think I might combine this with chat and see how I can make it even better.
    What helps me with format on Figma is to sit with pen and paper and actually try to draw out a version of how I see things looking and then begin my prompt.
    I think I can use your hierarchy for the 6 key elements in my prompts and will be using that as the template going forward.
    Lol, I'm feeling sick today so going to see how much work I can get AI to do for me and then take a nap.

    Coincidentally I just used GPT (an internal model we run in our company, not the online one) to help me summarize and build out my own self-evaluation. It was super useful I didn’t use your technique but I did start with a lot of background about myself, my role, then what I did this year, then concluded with detailed instructions on what I wanted it to do (in this case I broke this up into multiple prompts). Thankfully, this particular model was already trained on our company’s high level objectives so it was pretty easy to use this particular GPT to then wrap it all up with some demonstrations of our high level objectives. It was pretty mind blowing! I was able to take about 2k words explaining in detail some context about accomplishments in the year and have it very cleanly and eloquently boil it down for me into a nice paragraph or two (along with a separate section on those objectives).
    Another HUGE “killer app” for it is the summarization, particularly of large amounts of content but most especially product reviews, surveys, various feedback and etc. This really is revolutionary for that use case. It is a large language model, after all!

    These are useful prompts. The main concern though is privacy, especially if there's company-confidential information in the prompts; probably nothing will happen, but it could pose privacy risks since OpenAI uses the data to improve/train its models. This can be mitigated (though not solved) through the Data Controls feature (option to disable chat history).

    One of the interesting about ChatGPT and maybe all LLMs is the consistency of the output. I can use the same prompt (thanks for the ideas, Jeff!), but I will get different responses each time I query the system. Is that just me or is there a way to normalize the output?

    1. use gpt4 (gpt3.5 is bad at mind reading and translating)
    2. don't copy and paste
    3. review, edit and learn from the outputs

    • @JeffSu
      @JeffSu  Год назад

      3.5 is free and more accessible, so I make sure the outputs are relevant for the majority of my audience as well 😁

    Hi Jeff. I have no idea chatgpt can do that. Can you share us the general format pf your questions? Seems like you are assigning a role first, describing situation, and then giving the tasks.

    • @JeffSu
      @JeffSu  Год назад +3

      So basically there are a few elements (in my opinion) when it comes to a prompt structure. In order of priority:
      1. Task (e.g. generate a list of creative ideas for a birthday party)
      2. Context (e.g. My son is turning 5 and he likes...) -> you want as much context as possible
      3. Exemplars (e.g. Last year, we tried getting a clown and my son loved that, so this year...)
      4. Miscellaneous (like tone, style, etc.)

    I'm sure you heard about the serious bug custom GPT models are having; how users of those GPTs can break through the instructions such that chatgpt will ignore the role it was designed to do. So it appears that there's no "perfrect" prompt to give it. Can you make a video about this incident or at least share your thoughts on this matter? I'm not working on a custom one but I am working on a project and I have been getting into trying to make it stick to the instructions I gave it. I believe I commented on one of your later videos. - prompt -
    I am preparing for a performance review at my company where my work is evaluated against three key attributes: **Attribute 1, Attribute 2, Attribute 3**.
    As part of this process, I need to write a self-assessment that reflects my contributions over the last two quarters. I would like this self-assessment to justify a high performance rating.
    To help with this task, I will provide definitions for each of the three attributes and a summary of my projects and contributions. I would like you to:
    1. Assign each of my projects to one of the three attributes where it best fits. Please ensure that each project is only assigned once.
    2. Write a positive and detailed self-assessment for each attribute, explaining how my projects demonstrate my proficiency in that area. Include specific examples and details.
    3. Highlight the impact of my work by including quantifiable metrics where possible. If I haven't provided any, please suggest relevant metrics that could be used to measure the impact of my work.
    Here are the definitions of the attributes:
