Thanks SO much for this video. Those muscles are the exact ones that get very tight on my left side, and I never understood why. Have been doing this every day then doing some glute exercises from pilates class, has made a huge difference in just a week as I can (finally) isolate my left glute max. I have had problems with hip stability for ages, and this is a big step forward for me (pun unintentional). It's great when you mention the specific compensation patterns. Thanks again.

Definitely a must to have the knee flexed when attempting to foam roll or release if its is extended the tissue is very tight and is very hard to inhibit.

Always good stuff, Kyle. I have the same issue as Keith and would love any extra input.

Not sure if you guys actually read these comments, but there is one spot in my left hamstring that gets extremely tight and it's very deep in there. It feels like it's in between my IT band and my biceps femoris. I use a lacrosse ball but I still don't get any release even if I curl my leg or extend it, it's just feeling impossible to get any sort of release. Any tips?
