One thing that's neat with US mech losing a lot of the unicorn options is that it really is just US without unicorns, so you get to just hard focus on the ol' reliable stuff and get more of it and a bit more vetted up. Brings it back to basics so to speak. That said, just transferring that concept over to regular US so I can get an atacms is nice. I get by on the 203s on US mech though.

I've been using US Mech with team games just for the memes, and it can actually do pretty well (sometimes)

I will say in RD/WARNO I see US armor/mech being non meta but I’d love to try and employ it successfully. I’d probably slot an engineer squad for shock (in WARNO) but I’m sure they’re good in RD too.
Btw on lack of ATGM infantry it’s sad since historically US mech squads since M113 era had a Dragon launcher a la the light riflemen in RD (this is not a real unit formation irl/history wise)

Couple of questions Razz: Why do you never take the CEV in your US decks, but you usually take the AVRE in Commonwealth? Isn't the V-150 90mm better for openers than the FSV? Thanks for your time. Also, I'd love to see you have a go with Chinese Marines. The deck kind of builds itself, but I don't think it's that bad. Cheers!
US has plenty of other strong fire support, so the CEV is not as needed. That does not mean it is bad - or the optimal choice!
However in an unspec deck I would say it is tougher to fit in as it is a lot more one dimensional than other units in there.
As for the FSV: because it is more versatile. I don't get it to really win openers, it is more like to cover ground, sneak around, be annoying. The LAV can do so while moving and also shoot at helos. That said, the 90mm is by no means a bad choice!

how big a deal is the loss of the heavy tanks in mech deck would you say
For the majority of decks it is a worthy trade off. You mostly notice it in team games, where superheavies are more important, or decks that don't have a good medium tank (for example Japan that relies on its Kyu Marus).
The other times it is not worth it, is when the deck barely benefits from the bonuses - US and USSR for example. Especially the former. Most decks however can make good use of the slots and vet bonus.
@@RazzmannWGwould it be better in most cases to try and build a Bradley-M113 mech deck with US Unspec even if you have to be a bit more selective with your INF cards?
