Hurricane Ian Search & Rescue Efforts | FL-TF1 | The Gordon Center

Residents stranded on Sanibel Island by Hurricane Ian were flown to the mainland by U.S. Army helicopters during a rescue mission by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Florida Task Force One (FL-TF1). The Gordon Center commends these heroes on their efforts and is proud to work alongside the task force cadre who are also members of our firefighter instructor team. FL-TF1 continued to conduct field reconnaissance to check on residents that may who might have been trapped inside their homes and in need of assistance.
