Thank you very much for the brilliant explanation. Very interesting feature. In fact, this version 7 is full of new features.
When you get a chance, give Victor B. Credidio a hug.

Hello Dmitry,
Thank you for all the wonderful content you provide us!
I'm new to zabbix and currently am experiencing trouble writing/understanding custom triggers.
The trigger function documentation is helpful, but what I am stuck on is the formulation of what to monitor.
Example:
system.cpu.load.min(5m)>90.
min(5m)>90 is 100% clear, but how do I find out how to tell zabbix what to monitor? Why "system.cpu.load" and not "cpu.load"?
Could you recommend a tool to write triggers/learn how to write them, so I understand the logic behind them?
Thank you in advance!
system.cpu.load is reference to item that collects data
min() is trigger function
>90 is threshold
You can’t use just cpu.load because you don’t have an item with such key
So i have a generic windows template for discovered vm's. Some of them have the issue: clipboard and GoogleUpdaterService get a update the version name changes so its recognized as a new trigger. is there a way to stop this on a host by host basis or a script i can write in the effected vms to stop this? any solutions are welcome.
Usually service name is not change after some updates. This is a bit confusing.
But if it's really like that, I guess best way would be to just exclude those services
@@DmitryLambert thank you for the reply
if there are any chances that zabbix will change the datatype of unsigned int64 metrics from unsigned to signed, and will allow negative values. 😢
Why not use float
