In this video I will teach you how to find the word body. The basic form of the words is the form, that is found in dictionaries, but this form is not always used in the language. The word body is the word form one needs to find and use. The video can be a bit unclear, but go ahead and ask, if you have any questions :)
If you like the video, give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for more Finnish lessons! :3
May God bless you for your efforts
Tank you AURA
I amnew I would like to study finnish for first time
I love the complexity! Greets from Hungary
Kivä :) Opin suomea ja opetan hollantia itse. Kiitos tästä videosta.
Your videos help a lot! May I ask why ''s'' sounds like a soft ''sh'' sometimes?
Some consonant sounds next to it may change it, but there's sh sounds in Finnish.
@3:15 I have a question. Couldn't I use the dictionary form of the verb in a passive sentence like: "It is hard for me to walk" / "Minun on vaikea kävellä"?
Yes, correct.
Thank you so much! (Kiitoksia paljon!) These videos are brilliant!
İn turkish bardak is glass
Bardak-da in the glass
Bardagim-da in my glass
Bardagim-da mi ? İs it in my glass
And its soo easy to learn finnish for me as a turkish person because this suffix structure almost same logic with Turkish
By the way also the wovel harmony is different but the logic in the language is the same 😂😂 i didnt think learning finnish would be so easy
Nen suffix that makes nouns to adjectives sooo in turkish we use
Den-Dan suffix which makes same thing for example Su is water Sudan
İs made of water or afterwards from water its depended on where we use in the sentence
Excellent video. Thank you. Beautiful language due to being fully logical.
Do you call the root the 'word body'?
Kittos! (May I say something like Paljon kiitos?)
Excellent.
Happy Learning your Finnish language....
Please if you can do more,do
Can you make some translations of songs? Please
You're amazing! Thank you!
Kiitos poljan and Emmurän
Kiitos hyvää työtä
Of course the basic form is used. "On kiva kävellä". In fact one uses the basic form when one in English uses "to" in front of the verb. Now it makes more sense why English add the "to" when they talk of verbs. It sounded to be something unnecessary.
Good job.. Continue
Thank you for your work.Lovely
So I knew 'hyvä'. Seeing that 'minä' is I and 'nen' is 'made of' is 'Minä on hyvänen' translated to 'I am great' > made of greatness? Like how Hitler would portray himself to emphasise the extreme?
Similarly, 'Suomi on hyvänen!' would be 'Finland is made of greatness!' ?
Just brainstorming here. Awesome vids, going to watch them all.
Hyvänen is not used like this in finnish language, only case i can think about when finns use hyvänen is on 'Hyvänen aika' which means 'oh my goodness' or 'goodness' or something like that.
if you want to say i am good then is 'minä olen hyvä', if you want to say i am great 'minä olen suuri', then there is word mahtava which could be something like hitler could say.
Soviet Union/CCCP/USSR ANTHEM in Finnish is named 'Oi suuri ja mahtava neuvostoliitto' so we use both on that but then in that song Lenin is 'suuri'.
I know 'mahtava' now as well, I'm getting into some Finnish vocab and I want to start a course next year on Finnish at the same institute I'm finishing Swedish at this year. Need a Finnish mate to practice with tho. You a volunteer mate? ;)
It is similar to Turkish, I am suprised
Hmm..... I am a finn and I understand nothing when I hear turkish.
@@cinderellaandstepsisters I only mean grammaticly similar. Words are way too different. I don't understand Finnish either.
Great!😘😘
The possessive suffix is almost never used in spoken language so it can be ignored. Just use the pronoun. In the written language "(minun) lasini", in the poken language "mun lasi". Cases cannot be omitted though. You cannot say "kaada mun lasi" when you want a refill.
Isn't the possessive a case?
Tahnks
I like finnish
What a kooky language
It sure is. And I love it.
If Finnish is one of the hardest languages in the world, German is one of the hardest language in the galaxy then ! :-)
Try to learn Georgian 🤭
Or Mandarin... Russian
@@cheersfor6323 ahah yes you are right too!
