Mavs did amazing, when no one even thought they would even make it, and also for the team as a whole have only been together for like 5 months it just shows how good they can be with time and more team work
If you take the last 2 Mavs' seasons at face-value, it's absolutely insane that they made it to the finals with 2 mediocre trades after picking up this season where they left off last year, failing to make the playoffs and playing the worst defense in the league. This is a huge success for Luka and the team, they got a taste for it and will come back stronger, just like the Celtics did
He won’t ever sniff the finals again. The west is going to get better like Okc have picks for years to come. Timberwolves are going to be very hungry next season with Ant leading them. Denver could potentially get back there. Soon in a couple of years we by is going to have a great team and the San Antonio spurs have another dynasty happening.
@@LelouchVI2 I'm willing to stay hopeful. I think the mavs can make some good roster moves and coaching adjustments. They already did their work and reached the finals but I think they still have some room to work with before they have no chance at making it.

From not making the playing to play in, to reaching the finals against a great team. They tried, but the level of talent and maturity of the Celtics was too much. Luka is still very young, he's gonna have to take the lessons this series gave him and prepare better for the future. The way I see Luka, is that he's basically one of the best players in the world and he's not even near 60% of his BEST possible physical conditioning. Luka has the opportunity on his hands, he just needs to commit.
Thank you so much to bringing us Dallas Mavericks to the finals you are ballers all the way you work hard play hard you deserve it ! Proud of our team and how far we came. We didnt even make the playoffs last year. We lost to a better team, and im sure Luka will be back better next year.
Exactly right, it doesnt matter how much he was hurting. If this was lebron in this situation he'd hand out a list of all of his injuries to a splinter of why he lost. Handled it like a pro
It is actually good that the Mavs lost. The only person who has experience in the finals on thsi team is Kyrie. Now the Mavs have more experience as a a team and what it takes to win. They will be back eventually and Luka will be holding that trophy one day.
Horrible take. You realize they would gain experience by winning as well, right? Kyrie is also getting older so he won't be as good as he used to be. This year was the best chance the Mavs had barring a massive team change like Jokic somehow joining (which won't happen). Losing is never a good thing for a team. They might be back in the following years but this was a great opportunity for them to take home a ring and they failed. Also the "experience"? Experience is entirely irrelevant. Kyrie was here before and he performed horribly while this was Luka's first time in the NBA Finals and he was by far the best player on the Mavs and probably the entire series.
@@abolimhamane7159 I disagree with a lot of your take man. Mavs got 3 pieces that dramatically shifted things for them, defensively and offensively. Kyrie had a bad series but not a bad season, his contributions have been phenomenal. They have something to build on especially since they all made it to the finals in their first stint together. Mavs deserve criticism but to say that their done when they made the WCF 2 years ago, then they were counted out the next season because they missed the plays offs, and then they climb back up the next season and make it to the finals on a late trade, in the west which is considered to be tough, AND they beat the best teams in the west to get to the finals That's not a fluke man, I hope they stay competitive for a long time like Boston will. Tatum and Brown also failed in the finals before getting this one, also their teammate Al Horford won his first championship after 17 seasons so that narrative about age isn't 100%. Celtics worked hard for this, years of building and going through the slumps. Good for them they're a talented team. Let's see how many they can win together. I hope for a rematch it would be interesting to see how Dallas would play against them a second time.
The contrast between how much Luka cares and is hurt from this compared to Kyrie is crazy. Theres a reason why Luka is a top tier player and Kyrie is an elite scorer but is just a nice number 2. Where would be Kyrie be right now without that 1 magical Lebron Cleveland run?
100% I been saying this for a while… Luka is not defensive at all… he’s got a hell of a step back three and footwork! (We saw that on Gobert) but it takes more to be GREAT and obviously MORE to be a champion!!! If he adds defense to his bag, just think they’ll be champions 4xs over… bc no one can take anything from the other guys… just my opinion….
He might not look as good from the extra weight, but he it helps him a ton when being guarded. Haven't you heard many other players say how big and strong he is and how it makes it difficult to guard him? Also it is not making him gassed.
feels good to have another chip after over a decade of appearences in the ECF and finals and getting beaten again and agian. Our time was coming eventually. Great season, playoffs were about what I expected with all of the teams in the East suffering huge injuries. Still enjoyed the Eastern Conference playoffs though, lots of young talent stepping up paving the way for next season and beyond. I wouldnt have not been upsetting had this series gone in the Mavs favor though. Both Kyrie and Luka played their hearts out in these playoffs and would have been satisfied had they got the chip instead. Lots of great potential with this Mavs team going forward though. Cant wait to see how they bounce back next season
@@kcassidy90 bruh I love book but Luka is a top 3 player at the very least. He can add nothing to his game but conditioning and will have already improved massively for next year. And his %s all over the floor increased dramatically from last year to this year. The guy is still improving. Book is too inconsistent to be compared to Luka sadly and I love book's game.
Porzingis was traded to Washington…. He didn’t leave Dallas. He left Washington and went to Boston. Stop trying to make a connection that’s not there. Yes he used to play for Dallas. No, we did not trade him to Boston. I hate NBA casuals.
He’ll be back because he IS that good but he needs to take his conditioning more seriously moving forward. To be fair, this is his deepest playoff run up until this point so hopefully he learns from it. But still, he dropped off in the 4th quarter of these games on both ends, that can’t be the case if you want to win a title
@Nightman12 if you are a bait account then get a life. If you aren't then start watching ball. Kyrie didn't carry this team most of the playoffs, he only did for one round vs the Clippers.

@@memeguy0076 because him “playing offense” isn’t an excuse. Everyone is playing offense. The dudes that are in shape are playing offense AND defense and running back on fast breaks.
Interesting how differently they word the question from Luka to kyrie. With Luka “your hurting” “ tough loss” but with kyrie “how do you take failure” lol
He's gonna come back even better next year and they'll be back in this position again eventually. All of the greats dealt with failure before they got it done. This is that moment for Luka. I'm sad we couldn't finish the job, but this was still an amazing season all around and we proved all the doubters wrong and massively overachieved expectations. The sky is the limit no matter what the haters are going to make up in the replies.
As a Boston fan, Dallas will get there. Luka was amazing, But they the spotlight of the finals got to them the same way it got to Boston a few years ago. They know what to expect now if they make a few moves and run it back. I tried to tell people that Boston is just DIFFERENT this time around. You're not just contending with two super stars. You're competing with an entire team that has been through the adversities and yes Boston is an extremely tough crowd. The Celtics have the pressure of expectation constantly and they've felt loss repeatedly before their success. So they're battle tested in a different way. Respect to Luka again. He never gave up once out there and he needs help. Boston is the best team in the league. He fought hard.
He won’t be back there ever again. He’ll be just a superstar possibly a future hall of famer without a ring. The west is only going to get tougher and Luka will won’t be expected to win a single a championship in his career. That’s just how it is, it’s unfortunate but many superstar like harden and Russ don’t have rings either so either way Luka will still be good, just no ring.
I love how he didn't use the injury cop out like most players try to do even though he was genuinely hurt, he understood that he was well enough to be on the court so the injury is more or less irrelevant to him
Also if he gets more prices around him. They need another scorer and someone that can push the ball up. He needs to learn how to play off ball and make his free throws. After that he’ll be winning not 1 but multiple chips.l but it’s easier said than done
Speaking from a casual perspective (I'm no officionado) but it seems Luka is of the same caliber as LeBron and KD, he can score the ball without needing to heat up. Whereas his teammates need to take a couple shots before they can become efficient. If you pay attention to LeBron's game, he feeds his teammates the ball so they can get in rhythm n become more efficient. With Luca I noticed he likes to score the ball. Get the team up by about 6 to 10 points before he allows them to get in rhythm. I believe that's called playing hero Ball which clearly didn't work out for. Harden and the rockets. Back to the drawing board. This team is still new so this season wasn't a failure at all. Shake it off Luka You're still the goat!

This is a huge success for Luka and the team, they got a taste for it and will come back stronger, just like the Celtics did
Bruh gone come back with a vengeance next year. You’ll get you won, LUKA! 🐐
Luka did all he could ,no one expected him to make it to the finals , he’s only 25 and will be back
even as a celtics fan I really respect Luka. he fought through a lot to get to the finals, and i really want him to make it back to the finals again.
Respect to you and congrats for the win!
@@LelouchVI2you think the mavs will just lay down and not try to get better?
He’s only 25 man. You’ll be back Luka. We’re all proud of this run! And this is coming from a die hard OKC fan
Im a Mavs fan, but gotta say, Celtics are a hell of a team. Congrats. Also wanna say its a great season for the Mavs, last year they missed the PO. Maybe next year.
Luka coming back different next season can see it in his eyes !
Great job, Luka!
Leading all players in these finals in pts, rbs, and ast.
Good job Luka in choking and playing no defense 😂
@@Nightman12leading in steals is playing no defence 😹😹
From not making the playing to play in, to reaching the finals against a great team. They tried, but the level of talent and maturity of the Celtics was too much. Luka is still very young, he's gonna have to take the lessons this series gave him and prepare better for the future. The way I see Luka, is that he's basically one of the best players in the world and he's not even near 60% of his BEST possible physical conditioning. Luka has the opportunity on his hands, he just needs to commit.
Thank you so much to bringing us Dallas Mavericks to the finals you are ballers all the way you work hard play hard you deserve it ! It was showtime we the Dallas fans no matter were here for you win or loose you all made it to the finals ! So amazing to watch it was showtime of the best of your game all the way love you luka ❤️ keep your head up much respect on you and the team so proud of you.
Yep - then LeBron would point to his four championship rings and drop the mic.
Luka is a great player, hope he will win a lot of championships in the future.
Needs to get in shape and play better on D.
Yeah keep the best offense in the league under 88 points and 100 in two other games, brilliant
Luka is the greatest offensive prodigy of all time. He’ll bring multiple championships to Dallas.
Gentleman’s sweep. Class act by Boston. Defense was on point when scoring was not working!
You cant call 4-1 a sweep, it defies the logic
not fr Dallas done handed them the keys to the house with all those bricks they put up
@@johntafalla9893when you win 4-1 that’s what a gentlemen’s sweep is. There’s a difference between and actual sweep and a gentlemen’s sweep.

This feels like a 2022 Boston moment. This lineup has obly been together for 5 months. The longer they are togetehr the better they will become.
Keep your head up Luka you had a great season...Nobody could beat Boston they are stacked
The fact we just had a Luka vs. Tatum & Brown NBA Finals makes me feel old
we going to. back stay strong Luka
feels good to have another chip after over a decade of appearences in the ECF and finals and getting beaten again and agian.
LUKA WILL BE BACK ! hes only 25
Bro looks 37 😮
The nuggets will be there or maybe the wolves, this was the chance. No way. They cant get through the nuggies. And im just being honest
Book was 25 when he went also that means nothing
@@kcassidy90 bruh I love book but Luka is a top 3 player at the very least. He can add nothing to his game but conditioning and will have already improved massively for next year. And his %s all over the floor increased dramatically from last year to this year. The guy is still improving. Book is too inconsistent to be compared to Luka sadly and I love book's game.
Not if Anthony Edwards says so
Porzingis was traded to Washington….
Yep he needs to tone up and get in better shape.
I love your interviews Luka ! Keep going on the realest path you can ✊🏆
It's ok Luka. You will be back stronger next year. You were a MVP Finalist, and you took your team all the way to the Finals. It's only up from here.
lol no Kyrie is the reason they made it that far Luka does not have the IQ to lead his team to the finals by himself

Incoming 5 million stupid questions from reporters. Celtics were just the far better team, Dallas' one win was a freebie because they wanted to win in Boston. I'm a Mavs fan and the only thing you can do is respect the Celtics in this case.
@@fml5910nah the nuggets would have been better, mavs lack interior scoring whole series, lively will get better thats the hope i have. It doesn't help that kyrie went 32% shooting or worse if im not wrong, idk if they will trade or keep him.

Keep your heads up Dallas fans keep in mind us Boston fans went through this miserable pain just 2 years ago it sucks I get it but it will motivate your team to be better and you guys have the talent to do it
Except the fact is that they are never going back there. Luka going forward is going to have fight because Okc and time wolves and nuggets all have a better chance next year and soon Spurs are going to be dangerous and possibly another dynasty for them.

Congrats to Boston! Mavericks fought tooth and nail this postseason and I am very proud to my Mavericks! It was definitely an overachievement.
Lukas gotta get in better shape, he has to stay locked in this summer…I hope he doesn’t play in Paris, get healthy and use the time to get better at only 3 things
•Free Throws
•Defense (basically get in better shape so he can provide more effort at that end of the floor)
• MATURITY ( DONT TALK TO THE REFS)

Interesting how differently they word the question from Luka to kyrie. With Luka “your hurting” “ tough loss” but with kyrie “how do you take failure” lol
Made the season memorable 🇸🇮#77!
Having to do a press conference after losing the finals is tough but he handled it well.
You can have that beer now
it felt like the mavs trolled their way to the finals, quite amazing, boston is an elite team though, hard to win against that.
I’m sorry you were a fan

Believe is not enough. If Luka wants to win he should train harder … The hardest!
to all mavs fans, we've been here before and it damn hurts. keep believing and hope to see you in the finals again !
It's not Lukas fault they lost. Kyrie couldn't hit a shot. Luka needs much more consistent players on his side.
The only way Luka can win a championship is to stay in shape and play with more effort on defense.
Also if he gets more prices around him. They need another scorer and someone that can push the ball up. He needs to learn how to play off ball and make his free throws. After that he’ll be winning not 1 but multiple chips.l but it’s easier said than done
Another player added to the list that will never eclipse Jordan
The list = everyone else
