Chopard is really doing the good work for the industry: doing things the way the would have been done in the old days, but with modern sensibilities. Chapeau!
L.U.C. has been killing it in the recent decades+.
Loving the new colors and they really transform the watches.
It does have a well-finished manufacture movement that fills the case and top-notch dial finishing, but for a steel watch from Chopard, I’m not sure it has enough pull to justify its USD$26000 price tag.
My god these are incredible. My favorite releases so far and was the same last year with the sapphire minute repeater. Love this brand.
Couldn't agree more, fantastic pieces! I remember saying they should drop the date and use a LUC movement when the Alpine Eagle was released a few years ago and they absolutely nailed it. I think the 1860 is even more beautiful.
Beautiful and great job Wei with interviewing as always!
I think the chopard alpine eagle salmon is my favorite watch of the show. Wei show us the back of the 8HF
That 1860 is 🔥 That copper/salmon dial colour…! Just a little small for me… would love in 38/39mm
1863 is 38mm and has 8 day power reserve
Finally, a dress watch with the CORRECT dress watch size.
Absolutely stunning ❤
not sure about the pricing of 1860. A very nice watch, but pricing is questionable:
1. asking the same price as the Alpine Eagle sitting next to it, that has the amazingly finished bracelet?
2. For that kind of money, you can hunt down the original 1860 from 97, in precious metal
i have the white gold version (white dial) from a few years back. it was priced 20% less than what they are now asking for this "salmon" version thats in steel and no date functions. ridiculous pricing for a very fine watch.
I fully agree with you.
Facts: the LUC 1860 XPS in steel had a retail price of 9k. Steel, nicely finished dial (like this one) and a very similar (maybe the exact same?) movement inside (cal 96.01-L, 22-carat micro rotor, Poinçon de Genève). A few years ago you could buy it at a discount, and now: "limited production", woohouu 3X on price!
Price is fair considering you get a hand guilloche dial, cosc, and Geneva seal. Why are people lining up for steel code 11.59 which has none of the above and is the same price ?
Because Code 11.59 has APs name on the dial and, for many people, it means "status".
Great coverage, LUC is super unrated.
The Alpine Eagle will always be viewed as a Nautilus knockoff - sorry, but that's what you deserve for being an unoriginal copycat. But the dateless 1860 with the Geneva Seal movement on the other hand is a true thing of beauty ! Well done !
Seriously good.
Beautiful 1860, but how much??! Perhaps in gold, but steel??
Can you improve the sound?
That’s sick! But the price… same as 4500v?
Anyone know about the secret 1860 Wei mentioned at the end of the video?
Why steel case?
Love the watch, but these prices are absurd.
One of the brst watches on the market IMHO
Does any1 know the price of the 1860?
Подождите, подождите! Это что-то невероятное! Стоп-секунда в 2023 году? Большое достижение!
Pricing seems to me on overpriced scale for all of these watches without precision metals.
Don't worry. You'll be able to get these at 40% retail soon enough.

@@Memovox I disagree. I don't like the design of the Nautilus but it's not a knock-off...the fact that it shares some of the design aspects of the Royal Oak is only natural and expected - because it was created by the SAME designer.
@@Memovox Sure, but it still doesn't mean that the Nautilus (or IWC Ingenieur) is a "knock-off" of the pioneer RO. That's because all 3 watches were created by Gerald Genta and it's expected that watches coming out from the same design house would have similar "design language".

Sort your bleeding sound out, will you mate?.
Nice but too expensive . Plus, on most Chopards you will take a massive haircut if you ever want to get out of them. . Looking at a 70 % loss most probably , right out of the store. So….I got your Alpine Eagle right here…..
Stunning guilloche, better than Breguet's. Weren't Rake selling this model a few years back?
