Just so you know, there is INSANE overlying lore for gorillaz. Meaning: a lot of that music video wasn’t actually about the song, it was also a demonstration and basically a catch-up on how all the characters/members were doing at the time of its release.
It's somewhat hard to find but if interested need to read 'Rise of the Ogre'

its rare to see people react to the plastic beach album, i've listening to gorillaz since days 1 and plastic beach is still my favorite album from them even if everyone seem to hate it.

Gorillaz is fronted by Damon Albarn, he was the lead singer of a UK band called Blur, one of my favourites growing up.
You should definitely check out more Gorillaz, I'd recommend 'On Melancholy Hill', a beautiful track.
