      I'm also a Softail owner (2020 FXST) and I noticed something on the Indian that made my Harley look like a lazily put together POS, and when I tell you, you will never unser it.
      Look at the engine and around the engine on the Indian, and then on your Softail. Notice how the Indian has no exposed wires, lines tubing of any kind? It's clean as fuck. All you see is engine, empty space, and frame. Now look at your Softail. ⚰️
      And what's WORSE is that if you look at the pictures of the Softails on Harleys website, they edit the photos to look like there's no wires, hoses, tubing or anything so it looks clean on their marketing stuff. But in reality it's a goddamn mess. There's shit everywhere

      @@PotatoeJoe69 The fuck are you smoking, dude? The M8 is clean as fuck and it's wiring and hoses aren't hidden under plastic shrouds. The softails on HD's website aren't edited to hide anything, either. This feels like an Indian owner post, now that I'm looking at it again.

      Just got the sport chief bit ago, so far the easiest difference is definitely tech in the bike(I was the hater who said who needs cruise control now I can’t imagine riding w/o it). You also don’t have to worry about a number of things mechanically due to being able to link your phone to the computer real time via app to see diagnostics, to some like myself it might be the thing to make it more reliable to others not so much I.e what if the computer fails. Other is comfort, Indian has comfort of riding in my test rides, by far between the 2 but hell get a new seat it might make it as good as the Indian. Harley wins in just the classic metal look of big engine, it’s not near as “covered or sealed” as the Indian, in the time of decision I liked how much more “sealed” the engine housing was of the chief. Now don’t tell the dealer this part but the Harley wheelies way more comfortably, the little bit of clearance helps just that much. Conclusion for myself as I stated the sport chief took my soul and ran with it, and damn does it sound like it’s birthing a baby of gas and oil. Big tip also, don’t put forward controls on these and go 10-14in risers max. Stray from freedom pipes 2-1 on the Indian if you want guuuurthy rackets go with V&H for it. Both are great but I bet the Indians got longevity over thr harley. Best decision I’ve made far as motor braaaagaaaaatttgaaaatguuuuuuuuuttt lol

Key words : 4 in Touchscreen, Fox Piggyback Shocks, KYB Inverted Forks, Pirelli Night Dragons, radially mounted dual Brembos and 320mm Semi-Floating Rotors, LED Headlight, LED Tail/Brake and Turn Signals, Rear Cylinder Deactivation, Ride modes! - A pair of slim Slip-On Mufflers and the Indian Sport Chief looks perfect.

    As a future new motorcycle rider (almost 40) coming into the scene with little experience. I just like how the sport chief looks a lot more. It is important to mention that the low rider ST does come with a bigger wind shield and optional rockford fosgate installable audio system for those who like to rock out to more than just the sound of your powerful engine. I would still buy the sport chief for the digital touch screen cluster and looks.

    • @tomoates8568
      @tomoates8568 Год назад +3

      The Low Rider ST is pretty much in it's own class at this point. That larger fairing and bags coming as standard makes it almost a "diet bagger" lol. I'd like to see Indian make a larger fairing for the Chief to compete with that model as well. They already got the Super Chief with the windshield, but I see that as more of a competitor for the Harley heritage classic

Tired of having oil sucked out of the air cleaner and down the side of my bike, and ruining girls pants and shoes... Though, the new Revolution Max with HD's new digital display and all the electronics is catching my attention. The Chief is just my cup of tea overall. Buell Super Sport is now in the mix. And the digital tach on the Polaris is not a pro, it's a con, or at best, just a matter of personal taste. I am so thankful Harley put the analog tach on the FXLRS and not the digital display found on the Sportster S. And then the video talks about putting the Sport Chief in "sport mode", I'm so damn glad my bike doesn't have useless modes that nobody is actually ever going to actually use and change. Putting it into sport mode isn't going to make it suddenly a faster bike, it just ungimps the restrictive shit. Learn to ride and you don't need restriction modes to ride in the rain.

    • @Bleggh

      To each their own but I’ve ridden both, the sport chief for less mileage easily, and trust me I’m the hater who said “who tf needs cruise control”. That said I love the sport chief and its 2 useful modes lol, the standard is well for beginners who shouldn’t have a 1900cc(ish) bike. But the sport(should be standard) and touring mode, you ever go on a long ride you know the ST and Indians sport mode are so much harder on the body compared to a traditional touring cruiser. The sport chiefs tour mode lightens up the throttle and from what I’ve felt through 1000 miles in a couple months some how the ride on my butt and lower back feel so much better. The tac is amazing and you have no idea how much I hate saying that, plus you get an app on your phone that tracks the bike if you get drunk and lose it, gets stolen, or you crash and your family can’t find ya cuz ya unconscious, app leads ya right to it. It also shows you real time ride details etc, cringy right😅😂😂. New Buell looks tight too, 2025 ima get one.
