Amazing how he leverage his non-transportation experience to solve a problem in transportation. There’s so many different ways to be successful in this industry regardless of your professional or educational background
as a young entrepreneur entering the procurement space with a background in supplychain & logistics, this story is beyond motivating and lets me know im on the right track especially when it comes to digitization and optimization. The last take was amazing, its about providing a solution to a complex problem. Thanks for all the knowledge and insight Anthony. This is a heavy-weight interview W Truck N' Hustle
There’s a truckstop in Georgia that once offered free parking. They started using an app that charges for parking, now I just drive past them to go to the free spots down the road. Skipping their mouth merchandise that is supposed to be food (and getting a little thinner in the process) When parking spots are commoditized, not every driver will be willing or able to pay and will find someplace else to go. By shutting down an hour early and starting an hour early the next day, the parking fee can stay in our pockets. There’s always a free spot within 60 miles of anyone that has paid parking. The parking app idea would work better if more parking spots would be created with fenced in security and lighted lots. Those can go for $5 to $7 a night easy, charged via fuel cards to corporate accounts. With a business like that, the app would be a good for attracting drivers backed by freight companies that desire security. If the business is so good, why did he exit it rather than stay on to expand it further? Looks like in this reduced freight environment he cut and ran with the money leaving someone else to hold the bag.
I'm interested in starting a truck parking business in the Houston Texas area, How do I even get started or what do I have do to get the Land owners to agree to using they're land and what to offer them ?
That's a problem that keeps getting a lot worse, I manage a small Truck Parking Facility in the Northwestern suburbs in Illinois and I talk to a lot of the OTR drivers, they have been very frustrated about always finding safe parking for their Semi Trucks. On top of that to make it worse I know that for a fact that there's ONLY about 25 spots available for every 100 trucks out there on the US roads. Where are the other 75 trucks gonna be safely parking? A huge problem but no one seems to have a solutions.
If there is one thing I know, it's Illinois. The only thing I know is also Illinois. I guess he attended New Trier high school. That High School is harder than college. When those kids get to college it's easy. If he played high school sports then he probably been to my high school because we play them every year.

You ask good questions through these interviews and they flow well from what I have seen. I'm interested to watch the growth of this channel.

What do you mean? The company so big that they began making 75k a month just off one companies containers.
Everyone assumes people sell businesses because the business isn’t healthy. But some people actually start businesses with the intention of selling.
Good interview. In hearing some of the entrepreneurs stories money is easier to build when you come from family of money/entrepreneurship.
Perhaps this is true for some... I started my journey with $5,000 living on food stamps and medicare. I go deeper into my story on other podcasts.
