Y’all are raising some fine , hard working young men!!! And daughter!!! God bless y’all this 2025!! And I’ll keep watching and enjoying! I sure do wish I would’ve grown up this way❤
One thing for sure, these boys are getting a ton of good experience. Even if they don’t want to stay on the farm, they will be able to be equipment operators for any construction company!
Here’s to a blessed and prosperous 2025 to the Rhodes family. A truly God blessed harvest through Spring of 2025 through Thanksgiving. Highly recommend following Justin and his family. He’s the real deal and that’s reflected in the maturity and growth of his children over the years. Ditto for the beautiful one.
Just an FYI. I commented on the kids maturity and growth before even watching the video. I argue the farm doesn’t run so smooth if the kids aren’t so engaged. Kudos to raising a stable of intelligent, responsible children. Your greatest achievement.
How cool that you got honey bees ! It’s hard to quit the grocery store , I applaud you for trying :) it’s a lot of work ! I try to grow as much of my vegetables as possible , and raise chickens for meat if possible :) I have fruit trees :)
Thanks for sharing the last year with us again!! We miss y’all but hope yall are having a blast in Florida!! Can’t wait until you’re back!! Have fun and Safe Travels!! ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
Justin & the "Beautiful One" having gown up and lived on a ranch for most of my life I identify with all of this. From A to Z and all the bumps along the way. I laugh with you and cry with you and my heart swells with joy seeing how you live. Its great!
I found out last month after an MRI my MS was progressing after 26 years. Still plugging along and planning my spring garden. I never let it bother me before and I don’t plan on it stagmenting my plans for my future now
I’m wondering if you will be looking into ways to preserve food without freezing. For instance smoking, salting etc.sausage. I know we can do canning and drying.
THREE HOURS AND EIGHTEEN MINUTES..AND FORTY NINE SECONDS..I AM HERE FOR EVERY SECOND OF THIS VIDEO!!! THANK YOU JUSTIN❤..MAY YOU AND ALL YOUR FAMILY BE BLESSED ALWAYS 🙌
My father got upset because my husband and I cut the trees upwards and disclosed the lake view. He did not want the trees cut back. Now the place is so overgrown the trees are diseased
Wow! To see how much Josiah especially, but also Giddeon and Henry and Lily, have grown in just one year! As far as living off the land goes, we try to eat seasonally and we do hunt for more than 70% of our family's meat because we aren't "allowed" to raise livestock. We'll soon be working on another avenue, but for now, hunting is our main source of meat. We have eggs from our handful of hens and all the things we grow in our garden or forage seasonally - the trick is learning what we need to grow more of (to preserve and keep from buying at a grocery/farmer's market). THAT is what we are working on for 2025.
down to the last goodbyes for our "stud muffin" Sid. we only have a couple pkgs of beef left... we appreciate your life! yah, Sid was pressure cooker beef even tho he was only 3!
A green house (orangery) for food you otherwise can't grow where you are, is NOT out of the question for you guys since you have a few acres to grow on. Lower on the priority list perhaps, but its really quite a traditional thing to have. Just putting that idea out there.
You can grow Peanuts in your area. We're growing them up in Canada in Zone 5. Now whether you could grow enough Peanuts is another question. I had the calculations somewhere. I think it was a 26ft long by 3ft wide row for one 2 pound jar. I get the not growing chocolate since you'd need a permanently heated greenhouse (they need 75-85F year round) but it is doable.
2025; water capture sources? It seems you get a lot of rainfall and there’s been some crazy weather events these last couple years, and they could potentially keep happening. Now that you guys have the machines and the boys to help you out on the farm, should their next project be working on swales, water re routing and capture on the land possibly.
Instead of trying to do all right now, why not set 3-5 year goals? You guys are already doing THE MOST!! Say in 5 years you want to be harvesting fruit- plant trees/ vines/ canes/ etc each year for the next 3 years, say in 3 years You don’t want to buy any dairy from the store- set 6 month goals to learn how to make (or incorporate making into your routine) different cheeses and dairy products. Allow a small variety of things you are not willing to grow (or can’t) on your homestead: flour, rice, fish, chocolate, coffee, etc
Watch today's Dark horse Podcast, about Autism, no wonder these kids are so healthy, mentally and physically, they're healthy, off the land foods, with carrying parents.
What a coward of a person. Chronic illness comes when people live their lives in a disgusting unholy way. Not surprised they get hit with all these tragedies.
Thanks for thinking of us in your absence. Thanks for the extra work, Austin!!🎉🎉🎉

Looking to raise sheep....only catch is we do not have pasture....just woods. Any specific advice or breeds to consider?
LOL Cheese is dairy..........
Grandma would definitely have made sauerkraut! I make a lot and it is not that hard, and keeps great if you use a proper crock.
😮love the cabinets.😊
You back, Hope you had a great vacation xx
My hubby has a bending machine like that for aluminum siding. He encased our entire porch with aluminum. Big deterrent for woodpeckers
Has Henry finished being breast fed as he is 3 years old now???🤔🤔🤔

Cheese is easy to make!!! We do goats and make cheese and of course, drink milk. Sadly no butter. You Can Do It!
Just interested; what’s your end goal!😊
Why not a few dairy sheep? Use for cheese. Makes fabulous cheese.

Bananas cause a sugar spike. I don’t feed them to my kids or myself. That’s a dessert.
Look at the difference in how much Jonah has changed between now and when you guys went and picked up the wood for your floors
Retwine, better to be looking at it rather than looking for it.
misleading title! You did not quit the grocery!
After you make milk kefir you use the way to make some cheese
Qmy mistake you take the milk kefir in a cloth and let the way drip out and your left with cheese

Don't know what planet you're on, but it's certainty, not this one. If you've nothing positive to say, don't say it all.
If you don’t like him, don’t watch. Easy.
