Would be nice to have an app that used your phone as the card... but old tech works. 😢
Ill be in seattle next month for a day before getting on a ship. If i buy the orca card with the day pass, that works for sounder, link, buses, and ferry rides up to the $3.50 per ride? Just want to make sure i understand it correctly before i get everyone in my group cards. Im the researcher/planner in the group😂
Was all excited that I was going to be able to use Google Pay on my phone. Maybe next time!
I have a question, how does the puget pass work? what are they for?
I’ve tried buying a card at the stores available but they don’t even sell them. I got a card online paid 3$ but it’s an e purse so I’m confused

as long as you have the physical card
But we still have to pay for a new card so we can pay to ride. Not remotely equitable, inclusive, or accessible.

@@TheORCACard In Portland (OR) you can just use a plain old Credit Card that has tap to pay. It works everywhere, the max you can spend in a day is $5. No new plastic cards that need to be manufactured or acquired. Let's move in that direction!
@@gra04004 hey not that I disagree at all about what you are saying but just as an aside you do have to use either a physical or digital hop card to automatically earn a month pass so anyone using the system often will still want to get a card. But having more options is always better and at least here in Portland they did expand the eligibility requirements to be able to get a reduced fare card and they don’t charge for that card when you get issued one.
@@gra04004 Now that we have new readers that are able to support normal tap to pay credit or debit cards, they have plans in the future to roll it out I've heard.
@@gra04004 next year, the card will be able to be digital so u can use ur phone to pay your fare. hopefully that means no more wasteful plastic cards when everyone has a smartphone
